I took my time to make this review because I wanted to see how other estate agents would behave after my failed property buy with Beal's Estate & Letting Agents Eastleigh, now that I've completed a property buy with another Agent and the process went smoothly, I feel this review is even more justified. I started the process of buying a flat in Eastleigh through Beal's in November 2023, using their suggested mortgage advisor. Visited the property twice with a sales agent, and nothing was mentioned that would make me unsure besides a vague "In this case, the process usually takes more time". Agreed on the mortgage with the mortgage advisor, and used the suggested solicitor as well, the process dragged on until February/March 2024, after several queries made by the solicitor, issues regarding the builder and the cladding on the block of flats started to appear and ultimately the lender decided to cancel the mortgage agreement and the deal fell through. This resulted in the loss of the money paid to the solicitor for searches and some admin work and also the loss of the money paid to the mortgage advisor working for Beal's. I tried to talk to the mortgage advisor and explain the situation but there was no sympathy at all and I had to pay for her service in full. My last attempt was to e-mail Alan, the sales manager, but the result was the same. In my view, the agent surely had information about that flat that would indicate that there was some chance that the deal could not go through but they never gave me any indication of that besides the vague "might take more time" I've mentioned before. During my last exchange with Alan, he even wrote "I can also see that Beals made you aware before sales memorandums were issued that there had been some historic issues with the cladding at this property". I was never informed in any way of these issues and trying to imply that I was, was not very professional. In the end, all I was given was a we are sorry and good luck. Don't know if it was ignorance from the sales agent or if I was purposely misled but in the end, I didn't get a single penny back and none of the people involved at Beals even acknowledged they failed. Hope this review helps other first-time buyers to make the right choice.

Booked in for a viewing in Bursledon in the week. I attended my 1715 appointment at 1710 due to traffic and the lights on the property were off (lady told me she had multiple viewings of the flat). I waited until 1730 before calling the office and was told by a lad in the office he would chase the lady holding the viewings up as she should be at the property (she was not). No call back for 20 mins and I couldn’t get back in contact with the office so left. Finally got through to the office when I got home and was told he never called her but would let her know tomorrow as he was “busy”. No phone call nor apology the next day was told there was a “mix up” which confused me as I arrived at the property on time. She then began to lie and say was present at the property and her viewing ran over the allotted slot. This is the most unprofessional estate agent I have dealt with, I wasn’t offered another viewing slot nor a proper apology for waiting outside a property for over half an hour, no phone call or email to cancel or any help from the office. Unless the property is perfect I would stay away from using this estate agent as the professionalism and customer care is awful.

Selling a property with Beals Estate Agents.

I contacted Beals to sell a property which was subject to probate. The manager Carly came to inspect the property. She was very pleasant and open and we agreed a price and put the property on the market.Before and after each viewing I was contacted by a member of staff from Beals by telephone or by e mail informing me of the visit. The property was available to see on line within a few days. Jade and Hannah did most of the viewings and always contacted me after each viewing with information and feedback. The property was sold subject to contract and during this process a member of staff from Beals continued to contact me by e mail with updates. I was very pleased with the level of service provided by Beals and would say ‘ Top marks for communication’. Would recommend .

Slow and unresponsive service. Low Quality House.

Terrible service. The house has multiple faults in multiple rooms. There was a mould treatment in almost all rooms recently - which we had been waiting over a year - they didn't tell us how long it would take. During this process they ripped out the kitchen radiator and have not put it back, and once they finished the damp proof, the didn't repaint over the concrete, so now we have huge patches of unpainted wall all across the bottom floor; to top it all off, parts of the walls are still damp. This is only one concern of multiple. Furthermore, we have numerous leaking pipes, due to this some of the floor lamination in the kitchen is stained and dirty, and in possible extension of this, the upstairs toilet flush is faulty. We have not heard anything back about fixing these issues of over three months. We've rented this house for 4 years and it's not been a pleasant experience. We are a family household living with children here.
