Shocking service

We were buyers for a property in Eastbourne. The two people who showed us round were polite, knowledgeable and professional. Once we had an offer accepted, the purchase was managed by Darren. The service received was appalling. We were 7 weeks into the purchase and receiving phone calls 3 times a week demanding updates in a rude manner. They invented a completion date with the buyer that we did not agree to and was not communicated via the solicitors. We were accused of 'messing the seller around' when we booked a survey and told that this was totally unexpected as many don't get a survey. They told us the sale was at risk as a result and put pressure on us to cancel our booked survey and go with a company recommended by the seller. They then expected us to exchange before reading the survey and told us we were aggravating the seller when we refused. The survey itself highlighted multiple defects and the sale fell through.Felt insulted, pressured and poorly treated throughout.

The property market has been very slow in recent months and living a distance from dads (vacant) flat was an additional concern without knowing how long it might be up for sale. In our case we were able to deal with the same person from the point of initial contact when details were taken through to completion. Any issues or concerns we had at any stage were turned around quickly (if necessary) but the attention given to the selling process once an offer had been accepted was exceptional. To ensure the sale remained on track they made calls and enquires over the weeks with all parties in the chain and when available any information passed back without delay and any reassurance if required. They even visited the flat on our behalf if required. When we have used an Estate Agent in recent years we have found that they have a conveyance team who take on "the sale” to free up the selling team. I do not like this sort of arrangement. They were very patient with us and they gave us far less to worry about during what was a very stressful time for all of us. From me, my family and of course dad many many thanks.

I have never known a Agent to be so dedicated to keeping on top of a conveyance chain! I received regular calls and updates and it was not necessary for me to call them as I was kept fully informed! Brilliant! Please think twice before using them

Do not trust this agent, especially with your keys! They lied about our buyers statuses and this then cost us in solicitors fees.They also let our prospective buyers pull up flooring and take off our chimney breast covering. After telling them not to use the keys in future they still did for themselves and handing them out to third parties too.. Feel totally violated with the way they behaved. Beware
