GoogleAs I was living in the property I raised multiple issues with them, none were fixed in the 2 and a half years living there. Was also scammed out of half of my deposit back upon leaving the property. They don’t clean the properties once you leave and if they do they charge you for it. After reviewing the inventory and end of tenancy files and photographs. I see that the property was left in an unclean state. It was neceassry to make significant deduction from the deposit to rectify this. We rarely have to make such deductions unless there is a definate need to do so. In this case it appears that there was. The agent concerned has clearly done their job well in this case and handled the situation with sensitivity.

GoogleI would most certainly avoid this agent at all costs! We moved in to a property which was absolutely filthy we had it cleaned we also had no heating for 4 days when moved in tjey are closed weekends and you can only contact via google yet it never submits. We had the house decorated and professionaly cleaned we left and 7 weeks later still no sign of our deposit back until today and we wont be getting anything back. They are horrible agents very rude etc. I would never ever reccomend these agents if it was the last thing i did!! PLEASE BE AWARE!

Thank you for your review and for giving me the opportunity to respond. I have checked the office CRM files and spoken to the team in our Goole office. It is clear that there were several issues when you vacated the property. The Deposit Protection Service supported our claim on behalf of the Landlord. It is my understanding that some but not all of your deposit was used and the remainder paid back to you. You must understand that at Link Agency we go to great lengths to record the condition of the property at the outset of the tenancy, this includes taking several hundred photographs, which are used for comparison when the tenancy ends. This is very important because the DPS place the onus on the agent to prove that money should rightfully be retained from the deposit, in the event of any doubt they will always side with the tenant. This is because the legislation is designed to protect the tenants deposit from unscrupulous Landlords and Agents. It illustrates why it is a good idea for Landlords to use qualified agents who do the job as thoroughly as Link Agency.

GoogleAs overseas Landlords, with multiple properties in the UK we are very happy with Link Agency and their fully managed service.
Whilst living in the UK, we managed all of our properties ourselves. We were initially nervous about having to put our trust into an agent whilst overseas. However, during the last 4 years we can honestly say Link Agency have supported our investments beautifully and helped us to feel assured with each ebb and flow of tenant from our properties.
We have had very few vacancies in our properties, as Link Agency has always found us new tenants quickly and smoothly. We receive rents on time and get updates on issues as and when required.
Their knowledge of the ever changing lettings laws and professional guidance on all issues that could have proved tricky (even if we were in the UK) has allowed us to sleep soundly in the knowledge that they have our backs.
We would recommend Link agency for anyone considering letting their home out whether travelling overseas or whilst residing in the UK. Your property will be in trustworthy hands.

GoogleBEWARE... Quite possibly the worst estate agent on this planet. Totally unprofessional, liars, treat they're tenants like prison inmates. Uncalled visits, asking for rent before due date, let themselves into house when My other half was out! (Yes they really did do that ). Never helped when we had a problem with the property and to top it all off they falsely claimed we had damaged the place so we couldn't get the bond back . 🙈 Run a mile a terrible experience !!!

We have no record of this person. If we could identify the individual then we would be in a position to respond. Our CRM database allows us to track every person who comes into contact with Link Agency, whether it is Hull, Goole or Beverley, having a state of the art networked IT system and a very well trained team, means that we do not drop leads or fail to record enquiries. It is therefore very confusing when this happens, however it is possible that the person concerned is a friend or family member of someone that we have dealt with (I speculate).

GoogleLucky to get 1 star. My partner had a house with these was alright until something happened and she contacted them. No running hot water with a child under 1 and pregnant. They sent somebody out to which recond wasn't their problem it's a problem with pipes out side. Yorkshire then came out did all their checks even fitted all new pipes outside the problem was in the house to which after many emails and phone calls they wasn't 1 bit intreasted in end out of good will yorkshire fixed the problem and the electrics. The only response got off them was that's nice and is their a problem with the electrics, not even bothered they left a pregnant woman and small child with no running hot water for over a week. The house was cleaner when left compared to when she moved in can tell by photos took the only items was left was few bits what came with the house like a small fridge, oven etc yet no deposit back

Thank you for your review. We have reviewed your file and see that you did not leave the property that you rented from us in a sufficiently clean and tidy condition, such that it was necessary to make deductions from your deposit. You had the protection of the DPS in this regard. Had you allowed them to adjudicate, I am confident that they would have agreed with the agency's decision. The Deposit Protection Service that are custodians of all of the deposits that we take will not allow us to withhold money from the bond unless this can be justified. I understand that you are not happy at not getting all of your deposit back, but our Landlords can not be expected to pay to clean the house after you left. Thank you for posting a review so that I can respond to you in this way.
