GoogleHaving initially had issues due to our seller turning out to be employee of the firm we found our dream house. Trevor was honest straight up and our purchase went thru just 4 weeks later than initially estimated, under the circumstances this was always going to be a challenge but nonetheless we exchanged.

We had a few different agents from the Storrington and Billingshurst branches dealing with our sale. Unsure if we definitely wanted to sell, we took things slowly and were supported initially with a soft sell approach. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, listening and supporting us whilst we explored options. Once we found our buyer we were supported throughout the process and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mansell Mctaggart. Thank you everyone.

GoogleTerrible experience, specifically with estate agent Daniel. We made an initial low offer on a property and were told by Daniel, upon making the offer that the sellers definitely wouldn’t be accepting it. We knew the initial offer was low and we had the intention of raising our offer as required to secure the property, however, we never heard back from Daniel or anyone else at mansell mctaggart. The only update we got was when we looked on zoopla and saw the house had been taken off the market. This makes me question whether Daniel ever actually submitted our offer to the seller as required. Incredibly disappointing. Would wholeheartedly not recommend. Felt shady and dishonest. From then on, in our property search we actively avoided any property listed by mansell mctaggart.

After getting our house valued last year, we decided not to sell and informed the team in the Horsham branch back in July we were not interested in selling and we would be in touch if things changed. Since then, emails, missed calls even blocking a number still getting hounded every other week! Seriously un professional and definitely when we do sell they won’t be the estate agent of choice!

This was the 2nd estate agent we tried to sell our house with. The service was great the team are so friendly and knowledgeable they worked really hard to sell our house and were always available by phone and email if we needed to contact them. I wish I’d used them in the first place but going forward I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and recommended them to others.

This estate agency is nothing but greedy, with zero care for their clients. Once they've got your money, you're just another number to them. Communication is poor, and they couldn't care less about your needs. Avoid them at all costs.

During 2022 we were looking to buy a house around Haywards Heath. The frenzied housing market meant it took more than a year and 10 offers before we finally secured our forever home. Throughout our search one agent stood out for us above the rest. The helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the videos and accuracy of the details of the properties were really helpful to us especially as we were then living far from HH. We were pleased that the house we ended up buying was on sale through them and would happily recommend them as a great estate agent despite not having paid for a service from them.

DISGUSTING COMPANY DO NOT USE. We have a new born baby and reported mould at the property. Not only did they say this is an ongoing issue they knew about before we moved in, they refused to send someone out to inspect or treat the mould, putting my baby's safety at risk!

We had our house on the market for around six months with Mansell McTaggart, at a time when houses were selling like hot cakes all around the country (late 2020/early 2021. So we sat and watched a viewing on nanny cam. We were shocked to see the so called salesman was happy to stand in the kitchen playing with his mobile phone while the viewers were left to wonder around on their own, leaving muddy footprints on the carpet as they went. Then telling them about the negative comments he claimed previous viewers had made and what he didn't like about the place himself also making up some nonsensical story about our reason for selling. Then suggesting they make an offer way below the asking price (which none of them did). We'd already dropped the price substantially, thinking we must have been asking too much for it (the price suggested by Mansell McTaggart during the valuation).Feedback from viewings was almost non existent throughout.We called another agency (Connells), they sold it in just over a week, for the full asking price.

GoogleWe contacted the Crowborough branch about a property we were interested in viewing - since this was the first property we had enquired about we were unsure about the rules with viewing properties and wanted to see what the process was. We were initially told we couldn't view the property unless our property was under offer due to the Covid rules. A few days later my other half got a text to say we'd been booked in for a viewing during the week - we had already made it clear prior to this that we weren't available during week days whilst we understand the need to be flexible we can't just book off a week day giving our employers 3 days notice we both work as key workers which also hinders our availability. The estate agent then did the same again booked us in for a week day giving us less than a days notice and hadn't asked us if this date and time would be okay. We then left it for a while and found another property we liked - my other half phoned up to enquire and spoke to the same estate agent on the phone who said because we wasn't able to do the 2 viewings prior that she couldn't proceed further with this new property?!?NegativeProfessionalism

Our purchase through Mansell McTaggart proved to be a very stressful experience and I would strongly urge anybody to avoid them. Their sales/office manager was determined to gazump us from the beginning which they did, twice, for the single purpose of completing a sale and purchase together and earn more commission. Unprofessional and money orientated, this has to be noted and avoided. Moving home is a big deal and this agent cares only about their commission. Please do not use.

The Agent, Andrew threatened to put the property back on the market after sale agreed if i didn’t immediately pay solicitor search fees even though they had moved the lender valuation and it had not happened yet this was also the agents mistake. Nobody should pay fees until evaluation is done as this could end the whole deal. Anyway through fear I paid the fees and guess what later down the line the valuation came back under and the whole sale fell through and i lost my fees. Haywards heath branch… steer well clear

GoogleMansell McTaggart were agents for the house that we were buying. On first impressions they were like any other estate agent, however as the purchase progressed they stood apart from all the other estate agents in the chain. Our own proved simply to be good at marketing themselves; when it came to the actual process of selling the house and chasing the chain, they went AWOL and hardly communicated, when they did, they didn't know the detail. A phonecall to Trevor at Mansells meant that we'd find out the true and realistic position. At times the chain felt precarious, in fact many times, but with the help of Trevor I believe we got it over the line. A massive thank you, we absolutely LOVE our new house. Following this experience, if ever we were to move again (I can't see it happening though) we'd be straight back to Mansells to act as our estate agent for the sale.
