Worst estate agency I have experienced

Worst estate agency I have experienced. It takes 3 or 4 repeated call to get through to someone who will answer the call. Then usually you will be talking to an intern or trainee who know nothing about the queries you are raising, followed by a void promise that they will call back to you which will never happen. As a seller, you shall never use them, as they have a “smart” strategy to make you think they sold your property above market price by significantly undervalue your property, then put into market for people to view, meanwhile, as they short of hands or purely being lazy, they will push away dozens of potential buyer’s queries ( or simply not answer the call or email). You may get a price above asking price but that is because the original valuation is poor. Moreover, they will forcefully asking buyer to take on their recommend Connell broker to “get a better chance a win a bid”. If you are not using their broker, you probably won’t get the property even if you are offering good price.

Worse company for letting and selling

Worse company for letting and selling ! They take your money on management and never look after the property on lettings ! When tenant left , that was it , no support to get my money ! Did no checks even though promised 3 a year ! House was a tip when left and never got my money . Taking to ombudsman ! Definitely a bunch of liars ! My health has been affected by the nightmares I ve gone through with this company .selling aswell! They actually said that they told other agency that tenants were good payers so they d leave ! ( how shocking and unprofessional !) as they were going to try and sell property ( I couldn’t afford mortgage so needed to sell ) and tenants were being awkward . They had allowed tenants to change things to property without my approval! They had 3 dogs in the house and the way the tenants left the house was terrible !

Nikita was absolutely amazing

Nikita was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She really did go above and beyond and nothing was ever to much. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, always got back to us when she said she would. She also is such a lovely girl, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Nikita, she was an absolute delight to deal with. It really made the process stress free knowing I had someone reliable helping me. Would highly recommend Nikita. Atrocious!!! Awful experience with this company and even more so with the solicitors they use, who are called 'Conveyancing Direct'. From my recent experience, which lasted approximately 7 weeks longer than it should of done, I would never use Burchell Edwards ever again. Even though I didn't use Conveyancing Direct directly, thank god, from my experience I wouldn't want to be in a chain if any party involved were using Conveyancing Direct as solicitors. Read the reviews of Conveyancing Direct. Issues I had with Burchell Edwards, 1. I got talked into paying for searches up front, I was told it would speed things up. It doesn't speed things up at all. You would be better choosing your own solicitors and letting them add initial searches onto your final bill. You may then have a chance of getting your money back if the chain breaks down and the sale or purchase falls through. These people are just after making commission off you, don't get fooled. 2. The sales rep in branch tried to get me to use 'Conveyancing Direct', I was told that my solicitors 'Premier Property Lawyers were the worst around. Premier Property Lawyers turned out to be absolutely brilliant. Conveyancing Direct were absolutely awful and their slow work nearly collapsed the chain. 3. Burchell Edwards lost 2 letters in the post. Only a few documents need to be sent by post, yet they send them by 1st class stamps. And somehow lost 2 letters from the person I was buying from. The Burchell Edwards after sales team tried to tell me 1st class letters can take up to 5 days to be delivered!! I have never lost a letter or parcel in 25 years. So the person I was buying from would be paying Burchell Edwards in the region of up to £3000 in sales fees, marketing and commission. Yet out of that money they cant afford to send a few letters by recorded delivery and end up losing 2 letters. The second letter they lost affected me in the middle of the chain, it delayed an already delayed process by a further 10 days. Could of collapsed the chain. Issues I had with Conveyancing Direct, the person I brought from used these solicitors not me. But as I was in direct communication with the person I was buying from, it showed just how awful they are and confirmed the other reviews on the internet about them. 1. Forgot to reply to an enquiry raised by my solicitor. Delayed the process by approximately 7 weeks. 2. Lied about my solicitor raising the enquiry, they told the person I was buying from that the enquiry was only raised in early January. Yet I had written evidence it was raised in the middle of November. 3. Kept telling the person I was buying from not to ring!! Cant ring your own solicitor that your paying for!! 4. Wouldn't respond to my solicitor. 5. Slow to act on everything. I would highly recommend using Purple Bricks, was very good and easy, saved me £2500 in commission. I would highly recommend using Premier Property Lawyers, were very good.

It has been up and down with Burchell Edwards as a 8 month journey so I can't give it 5 stars but If I could give an individual 5 starts Jordan Mann would certainly get top marks! She wasn't actually assigned to my sale but she kept me up to date when she could and called me to just check in when it was all getting a bit much! She helped me with the items I didn't want to take and was so responsive - Jordan told me she only started in August but it was like she had been there longer she was brilliant and is an absolute asset to the Burton office - my experience would have been very different with out her! - Thank you Jordan!

They have no idea about selling properties everything is guess work incorrect house description no apology just send me what needs amending ? Really isn’t that there job ? When ever the tenants leaves or when I had issues in regards to property management, Olivia and the team from Burchell Burton office has promptly resolved it. I really wish the property management is always done via their Burton office.

I am so discussed the way how we were treated. First time buyers please please avoid this place. Lorna has been given my partner payslips to pass it in to the mortgage advice which we did not meet in person so what this “fantastic” woman did she holder back half of the documents to sell the house behind our back within 1 day. How good is that to destroyed our dream. They so many orientated, they don't see people and individuals they see pounds. Waist of time, effort and money. Not dispersing even a one star !!!!!!

If zero stars were possible, this company would deserve it. I trusted Burchell Edwards (Connells Group) with full management of my property. The result? • My tenant moved out early, but they failed to carry out a timely check-out. • They withheld and contradicted information for weeks. • They demanded £135+VAT for an inspection that should have been part of their service. • They repeatedly chased me to release the tenant’s deposit before resolving my complaint. • When I escalated to The Property Ombudsman, Connells’ delays and tactics meant the case wasn’t accepted. Two months of stress, endless emails, and still no accountability but harassments weekly email My advice: do not entrust your property to this company. They take their fees but not their responsibilities.

Avoid them with all costs.As a landlord I can say they are the worst agency. Would never use them again.I gave them 2 flats for rental. Had problems with both of them, both times.They only know how to take off your money but will not take care of your property.One of the flats had all bathroom tiles broken, had to change half of the kitchen that was brand new before giving them the flat.Did not even received the deposit.. They said (there is nothing we can do as we forgot to take dated photos before renting the flat).So.. after puting it together.. I paid more for fixings then I reiceived from rent.. Really bad customer service. Even made a complaint few months ago.. and nobody answered or called me back regarding it.

Burchell Edwards in Burton is quite difficult to get into contact with if you're renting - that's why they lost a star. Luckily me and my husband qualified for a mortgage really quickly and the sales team are really on point with your needs. I spoke to Amber about viewing a property and after asking about what we're looking for in a property, Amber recommended and booked us in to view a house which wasn't on the market yet! She also booked me in to see their onsite mortgage adviser Naamah who was very transparent and informative about the whole mortgage process. I really recommend their sales team to get you on your way or give you a helping hand.

Jade and Billie who are 2 of the staff I have been in contact with are so lovely and welcoming. Could not fault the service from the Burchell Edwards Burton Branch, the new property was firstly purchased thru Burchell Edwards, very smooth process. Then the property was offered up for rental by Burchell Edwards, Olivia and Daisy went the extra mile to fine tenants and get them in to the property within a 2-week period of completion. Would recommend Burchell Edwards for both sales and rental. Olivia and Daisy make a good team, full marks to both.
