If you want a company of people with minimal care for you and the process, who don't do what they tell you they are going to do, and then when you're trying to find out where things are up to, never answer the phone, Bridgfords are the one.

GoogleI would like to thank Stacy Shaw so much regarding the letting process help. In particular,When I left the property early before the end of the contract she did her best in order to find solutions and return my money back which I paid them in advance. Above all she showed high manners in terms of her assist and replies on my phone calls and emails. Importantly,she was very human as well as very professional.

I had a very disappointing experience with [Agency Name]. I initially booked a viewing for a flat that was on sale, only to find out the appointment was cancelled because the flat was sold, and they forgot to inform me.Giving them another chance, I booked a viewing for another property. However, they insisted that I use their mortgage advisor even though I already had one and an Agreement in Principle. When I refused to change my mortgage advisor, they immediately cancelled my viewing appointment. This kind of behaviour is unprofessional and unethical. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

Ashley, at the Sankey Branch, was brilliant! My offer was confirmed in August 21 and after many date changes I pulled out when the vendors wanted a 'provisional' completion of April 22! Through all that time Ashley kept me up to date and went above and beyond to try and get the sale to completion. She is a credit to Bridgfords

GoogleOne word for the service here. WOW! I’ve been messed around in the past, but here I was made to feel like part of one big family. Harriet particularly made the whole ordeal much more enjoyable. Her phone manner and know-how were exceptional. Would highly recommend buying or selling through this branch if you want professionalism and quality.

TrustpilotAwful service and expensive fees. Landlords should use someone else.
Been with Bridgfords for a few months and cant really give positive feedback back on any part of their service. They are slow to respond, aggressive and generally useless. Their service centre is completely separate from the lettings team which results on breakdown in communication and poor service. They are great at selling their service to entice you in then run a mile once you are signed up.

They will call you in and tell you to speak to their mortgage advisor who then tells you that he can get you the property if you sign up with them for £660+ non refundable, he will use their own solicitors too. My wife and I asked what about the other bidders and he said, the vendor won’t see those bids don’t worry. This is completely illegal and we walked away, he then said you are willing to walk away from this deal and get outbid. I said yes I would rather lose out on 20k than give you one penny. It’s kickbacks galore in that place and we know full well we will now not get that property. I would love to speak to the person selling the house but they have moved abroad and left these clowns in charge.

GoogleMy dad has rented through Bridgfords for almost 3 years and has only had issues. The property he rented was full of mold that they did not do anything about, he lived without hot water in the bathroom for 2 years and with a boiler that was not working properly. Considering how much he paid monthly for the property you would expect much more and from such a reputable company. This year my dad suddenly died and when notifying Bridgfords of his death they seemed to be compassionate and caring and within conversation it was agreed that if I cleaned and tidied the flat then the security deposit would be returned to help with the funeral costs. As you can probably expect, that wasn't the case. They are now trying to play the card that because it wasn't agreed in writing they can't keep to their word and they have done nothing to follow up on the compassionate or caring that they initially pretended. Its safe to say I would never use Bridgfords and I would strongly tell everyone not to go anywhere near them, they are an utterly useless, money hungry set of fake estate agents. AVOID.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleHorrible service and bad experience with Sarah Brownsword give me %100 mortgage guarantee and she advised survey and arranged for me how I can now she didn't know the job only intended to get the payment after she not answer the phones everything is worse I am not must to pay others mistakes I am not collecting money from the street this not acceptable I don't reciveved any paper work from the survey wasting money wasting time on the end on cannot get any service Sarah Brownsword due me £510 I want my money back

We sold our flat with Bridgfords Swinton and the experience with them was terrible from start to finish. They over-valued our property by £15,000, meaning that when our buyers applied for their mortgage they refused to give them their full amount, causing us to have to sell the property for £15,000 less as we didn’t have the time to put the property back in the market due to our chain. We had further issues with our buyers’ mortgage application causing a huge delay in the sale, and we actually ending up initially losing our forward purchase due to this. Throughout this whole nightmare Bridgfords were absolutely useless. We told them time and time again to call my partner instead of me, due to our professions, and they constantly ignored this and rang me. We had to deal with our buyers directly as Bridgfords had very little communication with either of us, and would actually ring us to ask for an update on our buyers situation! Causing us more stress and an extra party to deal with and update. Whenever we spoke with Bridgfords they had absolutely no idea what was going on and couldn’t keep track of any part of the sale. They were by far more of a hinderance than a help. They also didn’t conduct any showings of our flat themselves (as they had initially sold to us) and we had to do every showing as whenever we asked them they said they were busy. They charged us £2,200 for the pleasure of all of this.Overall, if we ever come to sell again we will be sure to steer clear of Bridgfords and would highly advise others do the same.
