A number of issues arose as part of the legals on the transaction, and without Barry's professional behaviour & keeping the lines of positive communication open, I'm not sure it would have gotten over the line.

Last year I put a house on the market using the services of Ed Dempsey & Associates. It was a particularly difficult sale, not only because of Covid19 but the property had been under renovation and I was not in a position to proceed any further with the completion of the works. Ed came highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed. He did a wonderful job in presenting the house, complete with excellent professional photographs, 360 degree views and a virtual reality tour of the whole house. He kept in touch with me on a regular basis regarding progress in relation to enquiries and interest in the property. He personally kept an eye on the property as I was based some distance away and due to travel restrictions was unable to visit the house myself. Booked a valuation. Took time off work to be there to meet the valuer at the agreed appointment time. Received a call after the agreed time from the estate agent’s main office to say valuer was running late from a previous appointment. Surely a call to alert me of this before the appointment time was possible. Valuer arrived very late, apologising & explained the person booking their appointments had booked a totally unrealistic arrival time, given the time/distance to travel from his previous appointment to meet me. The experience certainly didn’t inspire confidence in me and I ended up being dead late back to work as a result. Poor.
