Ed was the agent for a house we recently bought. He was highly professional and ensured the process moved quickly and smoothly. I believe his approach to managing property sales makes the experience easier for both sellers and buyers. For example, to place a bid, one needs to log in and provide proof of funds, which reduces unnecessary noise. After 3, 4 viewings, we moved to the final bidding process, which had a clear deadline. This was much more efficient compared to other agents I’ve encountered, who often drag the final bidding process out for 2, 4 weeks. Ed also skillfully handled hiccups between the seller and us, ensuring a resolution that benefited everyone involved. I highly recommend Ed and his real estate agency.

This agency seems to be loved by owners but as a tenant I had the most awful experience. I was made to sign a lease on 25th August, only to be told a month later that the landlord was selling the property, without ever receiving an official written notice. Instead of following proper procedures, the agency harassed us with constant phone calls, pressuring us to find a new place and to allow viewings, even offering money to do so. When we refused viewings (which was our legal right), we were aggressively accused of being inflexible and indirectly threatened with retaliation from the landlord. Still without any formal notice, I was told that if my flatmate left, I would not be allowed to replace them, and that I either had to pay the full rent alone or leave the property. Despite moving out at the agency’s convenience, the deposit was only returned after three weeks, and only after repeated calls and threats of legal action. Overall, a highly stressful experience marked by intimidation, poor communication, and complete disregard for tenants’ rights.

I've recently sold my apartment in City Centre Dublin. Ed Dempsey and Barry McCormick advised me on the sale. I have had an ongoing conversation with them for two years as my apartment has some existing issues which meant a successful sale yet alone achieving a decent price was always going to be a challenge. Over the time I worked with Ed and Barry, they were always punctual, professional and motivated to get me the best possible buyer. There was a hiccup in the middle of the process and I was tempted to sell the property at a deeply discounted price just to be shot of the stress the property had given me over a number of years. This is where their rue value shone through, they argued with me not to take the lower price and put the apartment up for auction having seen a tranaction fall through due to admin errors on my side. We completed a successful sale last week at a price nearly 15% above the previous agreed sale and a staggering 22% above the lower bid I nearly transacted on when I was at my wits end. The guys are fantastic and their advice is rock solid. I paid them above the market rate on their commission and I was happy to, becasue plain and simple, they knew their area of expertise backwards. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell a property in Dublin.
