We would recommend Michael Nicholas Estate Agents to anyone planning a move. We hadn’t moved in 25 years so needed a kind and caring approach along with patience to explain the process to us. They did this and continued to support us as the move was prolonged due to probate. Each phone call was met with reassurance and encouragement for which we were grateful. Nick was our original point of contact and understood our situation and did a great job of communicating clearly with all parties throughout. Mike was just as helpful and we always had a call back when we had questions or concerns. A big shout out to Dawn as well. Her disposition was lovely from day one and once she knew I also had surgery and a Housemove to juggle she again showed kindness and encouragement. Had a fantastic experience using this estate agents. When Nick came over to value my property, I found his honest approach very refreshing compared to other agents who were invited to value the property. As a first time seller, this put me at ease, knowing that what I was being told was truthful. The team were very supportive throughout the sale, and despite a couple of usual knocks to the process, they always bounced back and got the sale back on track immediately. A special mention to Dawn and Jo who were the most supportive during the process. They were always friendly and helpful, which was much appreciated. They are both assets to the team. If I ever end up living in Bristol again, I would 100% use these agents again and would recommend them to anyone.

Michael Hooper and his team have helped us to buy a house We had so many problems and thought we were going to lose it. Michael in particular was willing to put time in to negotiate a happy outcome for all involved. He stayed calm in our moment of stress and gave us advice that was impartial and honest. The team responded to emails and phone calls very quickly and even set time aside for us. I first met Michael for a valuation, he presented himself well and seemed to take pride in his work which led me to sign with him. After I signed, everything seemed to go to hell. Dawn is a very rude person, doesn't seem very organised and causes nothing but issues. I went into the office to complain about Dawn and Michael's partner didn't seem to care, Dawn was very argumentative and even after we agreed we wouldn't see eye to eye and leave everything, Dawn then continued to argue.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

Hello, if there is a rate below zero, I will rate this agency.We bought a house from the agency and it was a show house which was built in 2014 , after completion we discovered that the boiler is not working, so simply there is no hot water and the heating is not working in this very cold winter.The estate agency denied the responsibility about the boiler . The second important thing, the Michael Nicholas estate agent gave us one set of the keys of the house, the other set was left outside the house after 5 days of the completion day. I simply think that one of the agents gave the second set of the keys to someone else who might did a copy of the keys.That made me changed the all the locks of the house because I can not trust the agency neither their answers . All of the team have very poor communication skills and they are very rude. My advice is not to buy or rent a house from Michael Nicholas estate agency because the team is not trustable at all !!!

We initially approached Michael Nicholas regarding our house sale as they had sold our house 2 years ago and we had had a good experience with them then. We got a very good feeling from Michael. He appeared very professional, knowledgeable and above all he seemed to genuinely care that we got the best service possible. He suggested we should get £260k for our house which we were delighted with. We had already booked appointments with 2 other local estate agents and they attended as planned. Both were part of larger chains. Both seemed just about acceptable but neither seemed as genuine and caring as Michael Nicholas. We got the impression that the service would be less personal and that we would be just another sale. To our dismay they suggested £240k and £250k and both said £260k was much too high. Still, we trusted Michael and went with him. Sure enough in 9 days we had 2 offers including a full asking price offer of £260k from a quality buyer with no chain below. Jo had already made the necessary checks with the potential buyer including speaking to their financial advisor prior to breaking the good news to us. Within about 10 weeks the sale was completed. The service from Jo and Michael gas been great throughout. Thoroughly recommended.
