TrustpilotThink they’re God’s gift to the property market, they’re not.
We dealt with them as a buyer in 2018. It was a threadbare, do-the-absolute-minimum service that perhaps wouldn’t have been quite so painful if the management didn’t earnestly believe they are the best estate agency in the world, and continuously sound off about it. Even when you ring the branch, you have to listen to a recorded voiceover telling you how fabulous they think they are. Well, here's how it actually went. Our contact for viewing was a kid with close to zero knowledge of the area, the street, or the house, in fact, anything about houses, the way they‘re built, what a buyer might look for, etc. We had 20 minutes for this viewing. When we booked a second viewing, the (marginally) more senior colleague was no better and also allowed barely 20 minutes for a supposedly more thorough viewing of a 4-bed semi. Their 'sales progression' team consisted of no more than a woman giving us the occasional nag to do what we were doing anyway. The electrician they recommended for an inspection was (in hindsight, predictably) terrible. Even at key handover they were just going through the motions, handed us a bottle of cheapish wine with their own label/branding on it and a card not addressed to anyone with a dozen hastily scrawled signatures in it…again covered in their self congratulatory branding. Oh and a week after we moved in came a flyer suggesting we use their services to now sell the house we’ve just bought. Bravo, CJ Hole. If you didn’t keep masquerading your supposed glories, perhaps such mediocre service would be more tolerable.

GoogleThe team at CJ Hole Downend took over the marketing of our home after problems with other local estate agents. Right from the start they proved to be a cut above the rest. Professional right through the process. They offered friendly advice and within a short time we had a great deal of interest and an offer. Their help didn’t stop there and the sales progression team kept the process moving and were actively involved right until the end. We had lived in our home for 20 years and we would say the other agents reflected what you got then. CJ Hole Downend have moved with the times. They don’t make promises like they can get more for your house than others, blame you for not getting viewings, etc. They gave honest advice and we must say it was like having somebody on your side looking after you. Highly recommend them as your first choice if your thinking of selling/buying etc.

GoogleI have been contracting as a Locksmith for CJ Hole for the last 2 years and have always found them to be fast, reliable and up front with any issues that they have needed me for. Landlords and tenants alike require access and security from their rental property and CJ Hole have always made this of paramount importance, which is evidenced in how quickly they get in touch whenever there is an issue with one of their properties. As someone who has rented in the past, I can appreciate what a fantastic job they do, and my interactions with Cherelle and Scott are always a pleasure.

GoogleI would just like to say that the team at CJ Hole are great. The level of communication both on the phone and email really helped keep me updated and informed all all time during the sale process. They were also very good at keeping me calm and as unstressed as possible throughout the whole thing, a very hard thing to do when 8 months pregnant. I would be happy to recommend the team and will use the office again should we move in the future.

I have recently purchased a house through CJ Hole Downend and I have been thoroughly impressed with the personable service from end to end. I was shown through the house a number of times by Sophie and Eva who were both knowledgeable about the property and the area, enthusiastic and honest in outlining both the benefits and also the downsides of the property. They were extremely accommodating to my many questions and to my family members, friends and tradesman that I brought through the house prior to completion. Andy managed the sale of the property and he was brilliant. He was genuinely excited for me, supportive of my nerves and very tolerant with my many phone calls. He never rushed me off the phone and was always available for ‘just one more question'. My house completed in 6 weeks which is amazing! CJ Hole have a brilliant service managed by Diane who calls and chases up every aspect of the sale to ensure it moves at maximum speed. I cannot recommend this team enough, they really do present a perfect bench mark of exactly what excellent customer service is.

We bought our new house through C J Hole. We needed to find something where the vendors were prepared to complete in a hurry as our purchase had fallen through. The staff knew their housing stock well and quickly identified possible houses for us. We narrowed down the list and the agents went to work contacting the vendors to see if the prospect of a quick sale would be a positive thing for them. The agent managed to arrange a viewing the same day and then we made an offer. At all times C J Hole were professional and curteous if their dealings with us and they did all they could to see the sale completed quickly and without any issues.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
