Our objective last October when we approached Jackson-Stops to market our property was to achieve a sale as soon as possible. Market conditions were not favourable and even deteriorated over the winter months. Despite this, Karl Ormerod approached the challenge professionally, liaising with us throughout the process and communicating regularly (not always during standard office hours). Karl’s approach was business like, which in itself gave us confidence (as clients) and I am certain helped to get the buyer over the line.A job well done!Rod.

GoogleThe team at JS, in our case Chris and Darrell, handled a sensitive probate situation carefully and professionally from our first meetings. They were always engaged without being invasive. We secured a price within 2% or so of what we all concluded the true value to be. JS dealt with more tricky price discussions to a sensible compromise. GoogleIn 2020 there were many estate agents that were either closed or whose remote working systems were so poor that they might as well have been. Jackson Stopps were fully manned (and womenned?) from May 2020 onward. They seemed to be selling everything they had, so choosing them to represent me was easy. They got me under offer and then sold, bringing in people from Surrey and London. I would use them again without hesitation. BTW I should also add that they called me twice after moving to see that I had settled in ok, that is attention to detail.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleJackson stops were the estate agent for a house I was buying in Dorking. I could not have asked more of them. They were a fantastic help dealing with the other party, and helped smooth over all of the bumps that inevitably arise when transacting property. As a result the sale went through quickly and without issue. Highly recommended.

Sadly 1 star. My experience with them is they are dishonest and will work within legal frameworks whilst lying to you. Bought a non primary residence in the Cotswolds with them recently, was told the oven was an everhot.. it’s not, it’s a smeg. Was told the property had previously been under offer at the same price.. it hadn’t, it was 150k lower, found out through severe googling this week. Was told the house had been surveyed and ready to go (we of course carried out our own) and lots of issues came up they knew about and didn’t flag. MOST ashamedly, they accepted out of asking and then AFTER doing all of the background checks and mortgage offer etc etc etc they told us that the house had an outstanding land issue (known about by them months before offer was made) that required hundreds of thousands of pounds to be paid to resolve and had no immediate timeline.

A Fantastic team, lead by Anthony Jevons at The Hale office meant the sale of our property went smoothly from start to finish. The house was sold STC within 72 hours of agreeing to use Jackson Stops and the sale completed today without a hitch. Although more expensive than quotes from other agents in the area it was well worth it and certainly money well spent. I have no hesitation in recommending this agency and Anthony Jevons in particular

I worked very closely with Lottie Watts and she ensured that the sale of my house and purchase of my new house went as smoothly as possible. Even though there were a couple of hiccups along the way, Lottie did not expect me to deal with anything, she absolutely took the stress out of the process by being available to speak to all parties and resolved the issues with the minimum of fuss. I would fully recommend using Jackson-Stops to either purchase a property form, or sell your property. I sold and moved into my new house within 4 months of my house going on the market.

GoogleChoosing JS was the wisest move we ever made! It obviously matters to them to get a positive outcome for their clients. The whole team were excellent but Lucy, and Darrell in particular, went beyond the call of duty with good humour, positivity and resourcefulness, which made things so easy. We're really grateful and glad we chose them. The number of sold boards here in Newdigate is also testament to their knowledge and professionalism. They have a very professional yet warm & friendly approach, they work well with all the various stakeholders including the solicitors, and generally make the whole process quite pain-free. They were very helpful in both the Sale of our old house and also in the purchase of the new house. In particular, I would single out Chris Fairclough, who went above and beyond on several occasions. We had an issue with the first part of the chain, which had a knock-on effect on the potential sale of our house, and Chris played a very hands-on role throughout a very stressful timeframe. GoogleJackson Stops is a wonderful agency with incredible staff, especially Lucy. She was so professional but also kind and patient. She sold us our dream home and we will be eternally grateful to her. It was not plain sailing but she was amazing all the way through what ended up being quite a long process. She checked in with us making sure we were okay and went above and beyond what other agents in other agencies would have done. There is no game playing with these guys, they are a cut above the rest as far as we are concerned. Darrell was also amazing, very helpful and genuine. And after all their hard work, they were the ones who sent us a gift which was so lovely and unexpected. Not only was he friendly, knowledgeable and informative but he went over and above in helping us with help all aspects of our move. He made what could be a very stressful time a whole lot easier. From the first viewing to the offer process and further correspondance, David was professional and proactive, efficient and organised, and reliable and supportive. He kept us informed regularly and drove our sale through very quickly, working to our requested time frame. Our Solicitor and mortgage Broker both commented on what a pleasure he was to work alongside. Been recently been purchasing a property with Jackson Stops.Got to point of exchange but had a few issues came up from searches which hadn't been told before tried to get Stephen Cheshire to contact myself but no response only to come to a Friday to be asked are you going to exchange at time had concerns which needed answers.There response was just to put back on market and no response to my email.Even last Friday contacted Stephen and asked if property still available was told yes and sent long email.Noticed today been sold again.Basically been treated very poorly and basically rude.I'm sorry my mother was taken ill on the Friday you asked for exchange but I did email to no response back same as for last Monday.Very unprofessional not even being told vendor was selling elsewhere.
