I sold my house with Cubitt and West and was let down

I sold my house with Cubitt and West but was selling with another agent and by doing so I had to pay the other agent £1000, Cubitt and West said that would pay the £1000 if I sold which they failed to do just because I did not have the correct paperwork from the other agent which they would not give to me because I changed agent.Would not use Cubitt and West again can’t be trusted to keep their word.

Don't use cubbit & west

Never sell your property with southwater branch cubbit west. I had a good relationship with them up until now I don't normally write reviews but I thought I should let others know the true story about them. They are a waist of time. We have been with c and w for over 100days and never got an offer Since they haven't been able to sale our property we decided to go with another agent. My husband tried calling several times to speak with a branch manager called Leanne regarding terminating the contract. Every time we call we get a lying answer, she will call back. Its been 3days she hasn't called yet. Very unprofessional never expected such type of service.

Relentless & Pushy

Talk about hard sell. I viewed one property with them (which wasn’t suitable) and they haven’t left me alone since. Constantly texting, phoning and emailing different places - which I am already aware of as I’m sure anybody who is house hunting is. I explained I would contact them if I wanted their assistance but in the end I had to block them. It genuinely put me off even considering one of their listings.I understand they are taught to sell but back off if someone isn’t responding.

Excellent service start to end from these 2 guys. They got my property rented within days. As a landlord who doesn’t live locally they made my life so much easier by assisting in getting jobs done that were proving difficult for me to do from a distance. One fine example was providing a floor plan with measurements for me to get the carpets replaced. They went the extra mile in doing what needed to be done to get the new tenant in promptly. great company if you want to lose value on your property & lose your buyer; who cannot sell when the going gets "really" tough! (i.e. - slow down in economy/market) - in a good market even a monkey can sell anything! They are NOT able to prove their mettle in genuine tough times with incompetent progression staff.

I bought an apartment through Cubitt and West and within a few weeks I wish I’d sold through them too. The guys here were great, David really gave such a personal service, he knew who I was every time I called and helped out loads! Any issues I had I came to them rather than my own agents.Julie looked after the sales process and kept me so up to date with any changes quicker than my own agents! If I ever buy or sell a property I’d only ever go to them here. Couldn’t ask for more! Thank you.

Selling experience with Cubit and West

Our overall experience of the whole process of selling was pretty painless thanks to the local staff at the Dorking branch. We sold quick and achieved our full asking price. Although it took longer than expected to complete, this was down to a long chain and problems at the top of the chain. Can't praise the staff at Dorking branch highly enough especially the branch manager ( Jo Green).Thanks for everything.

We purchased a house through Cubitt and West and although it wasn't without it's frustrations, Cubitt and West were a good company to deal with. Jo Green, the branch manager, was particularly good. She kept things moving along and this was not easy in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown. I scored them down because there was a misunderstanding regarding a follow up viewing that was arranged and then we felt that we weren't allowed a lot of time to look around. The law firm they recommended, JS Law, also let them down.
