Excellent service from Cubitt & West at Dorking

My sister and I were selling my mother's house as executors. We could not have found Jo and her team at the Dorking branch more helpful. First, they jumped in to help us when our first estate agent was less than helpful, getting our house up on their website in less than 48 hours and on-line within a few days. Amazingly quick. They took good photos and did a realistic valuation which attracted viewings in a very short time. We got 3 offers (2 of them over the asking price) within 10 days. The team were friendly, efficient and calm throughout, even through the very fraught time created by the stamp duty holiday and the approaching deadline of 30th June. Well done to everyone.

Great Experience

Considering moving home is one of the most stressful things to do in life, Cubitt & West made the process seem easy. We received excellent help, advice, care and attention starting with the valuation appointments with Rocco who was informative and professional. The service continued with wonderful Wahida who found numerous interested buyers, and with courteous Caitlin who accompanied the prospective buyers around the house. Both Wahida and Caitlin followed up with phone calls to inform us of offers and progress on our sale. We could not have asked for better service. In addition, the photos and video of the house were spectacular and definitely helped attract prospective buyers. We cannot recommend them highly enough; they were superb.

Tried to sell a house with Cubit and west

I brought in Cubit and west to sell our house in August 2020, we managed to get it live on the market in September, Cubit and west gave us advise on how to achieve a quick sale, we therefore did everything they asked us to do (which included taking a significant financial impact to do the sale chain free) and finally sold in December. The sale stalled in april with no movement, I gave notice to the post sale co-ordinator AND the manager of the branch that if no progress can be made then we had to put it back on the market as we cannot wait any longer. the notice was made over the phone and I was clear I would use a different agent. NEITHER the manager or the post sales adviser it had to be in writing. We have therefore withdrawn from the sale and even though notice was received Cubit and west has advised they are holding us to 14 days notice from the time I put it in writing. Thus preventing us from selling and delaying us again!! I feel they have tried to manipulate us to remain with them and been dishonest in not accepting the notice which was provided and referenced several times in emails. I would never use them again, selling your house is stressful enough without having the firm you employed to do the job attempting to bully you in the process.Update! They have called today and released us from contract :-) very happy with this outcome. Thank you

THE WORST (if only minus stars were allowed)

Who ever gave this estate agent a review of more than 1 star must be employed by them. Possibly the worst agents i've ever had the displeasure off working with. I mage the mistake of listing my flat in caterham with them at the price they had valued it at. In 4 months they have managed to show the flat only once. this is a new build 2 bed bath separate kitchen top floor flat. I know the market is slow but they has been no effort from them to call me to explain the low viewings or a new marketing approach. when I asked their "senior" marketing manager about the low viewing, there was no explanation instead she promised she;d ask "the girls in the office to take an hour out their day" on two separate days to help get viewings!!! I was surprised that this was not the norm but rather a special favour!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS go with purplebricks or anyone else but these agent. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL

If there were no stars i would put…

If there were no stars i would put none. This is the worse estate Agent I have ever dealt with in my life! My husband and I also our baby lived in a flat for two years, in that two years we have reported and taken several photographs of issues that needed to be dealt with and it’s only when we left they started to deal with the issues. Our landlord was rubbish as well, but we had a feeling that Cubitt and West wasnt telling our landlord about the issues in the flat. Living in this flat really affected our mental health, especially mine. We were not living in good condition AT ALL! Our poor baby had to live in this condition as well.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Heidi and Stephanie on handling the sale of my property.Through thick and thin with many twists and turns along the way ( especially through some very difficult COVID times) they were always on hand to deal with my enquiries and bring some cheer to the proceedings.They made me feel like it was their own personal challenge to get my property sold. More than just a job to them!!!! Likewise I always felt that they had my best interests at heart. From start to finish the experience was…

From start to finish the experience was very up and down.At first they were very helpful but there were a few things we were not happy with. Some individual staff members were very pushy and made us feel uncomfortable. Viewings would be booked in for us for houses that we made it very clear we did not want to view.We were also very disgusted and upset in the fact a letter was sent out to many houses in our neighbourhood without our knowledge or consent. This letter included our Christian names along with our budget and the area we wanted to live. We felt this really invaded our privacy with information that should never be released especially without our consent. If it wasn’t for family friend that received this letter we would not have even known it had been sent out.On the other hand our sales progressor was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us. He always kept us updated and and we really trusted his opinion and judgement.
