GoogleI have already sent this information as a complaint directly, but the lack of concern shown on the back of that complaint is why I am writing this review. I rented using this branch, from landlords who should never have been allowed to take on further tenants.
As a single female I was subjected to: multiple unnecessary late night visits, the male landlord walking into the property through the open back door when they “thought I wasn’t in there”, finding excuses to loiter around the property, excessive requests to enter the property, and the most horrific verbal abuse I have ever experienced.
It is beyond shocking that after this was reported you still allowed them to take further tenants under your name.
I hope for your sake that something more serious doesn’t happen to future tenants, but that being said, would you even care?
Female renters - stay well away from renting a property in Sydling St Nicholas from this company.

We’re sorry to read your review and to learn that you were dissatisfied with your experience, particularly as your tenancy ended in June 2024.
After looking into this matter, we can confirm that when you raised your concerns during your tenancy, we explained that we were not the managing agent for the property. Management responsibilities rested solely with the landlord, and we advised that any issues should be addressed directly with them.
Where we are not responsible for ongoing management, we always recommend that tenants communicate directly with the landlord. If concerns remain unresolved, seeking independent legal advice may be appropriate, and in more serious cases, contacting the police may be necessary.
We are sorry to hear this was your experience from the Landlord directly and can assure you that we are no longer involved with this property.

GoogleI needed help with writing up just a tenancy agreement and issuing to the perspective tenant and their agent, nothing more, so no real big earner for a company, of which I put this to Helena Sawdy and the team I had dealings with at Dorset Property, they helped me by taking all the information from me and dealt with it immediately to the finish all within a few days just as you would expect if you were spending a lot of money, so I was and I am very pleased with the way everything was handled, I was also kept in the loop with everything that was done at the time of the team doing it, so I can't thank them enough, the tenant is also very happy because what they thought was going to be a long process was only a few days and they could move in sooner rather than later, my property was very much needed to them as their house got burnt in a fire and had nowhere to go with their young child, so a win win for all concerned, this trouble free experience with Dorset Property only leaves me to say if I ever need their type of service again I will not hesitate to call them and or recommend their services to others, thank you all again.

FacebookDidn’t have a good experience at all with this company. House was filthy when we moved in, still had food on the cooker hood from the deceased owner.
Any repairs/work needed were done in a timely manner but as cheaply as possible.
Staff were unhelpful, rude and no customer care skills at all.
At the end of the tenancy we were told to put the keys through the shop door as no one met us to read meters, check state of house etc. Despite phone calls and emails to ask for confirmation that key was received and deposit would be refunded, ignored for 12 days.

Dorset Property has built a reputation over the last 35 years based on the excellence of service provided. We pride ourselves on the standard of our service and ‘To be the best at what we do’ is our maxim. This is not to say that we always get it right. We take complaints very seriously and try to learn from any mistakes we make.
In this instance, following a review of the background to the complaint, we do not think the complaint is reasonable or justified. All procedures were followed correctly and the team in Weymouth refute, in the strongest terms, that they were rude or unhelpful. The tenant’s concerns were answered promptly, as were the landlord’s instructions on any repairs that were required. The house was professionally cleaned before the start of the tenancy but had become dusty as it had been empty for a few weeks beforehand. Professional cleaners were again employed to remedy this.
The tenancy ended at midnight on Saturday 21st December 2019 so the tenant was asked to post the keys in readiness for a professional check out, which was booked for the Monday. The deposit was returned in full within the statutory 10 working day period.
