I have not yet completed but my experience so far has been plain sailing. All the team have been really helpful especially Olivia who carried out the valuation who was very sensitive to my personal situation . I also needed help with some paperwork and Olivia took the time to come and sit with me. Would definitely recommend their services.

Swaffham - Aston 10/10

Aston at the Swaffham branch was fantastic. He made us feel really comfortable and answered all the questions we had. As first time buyers it can be all very overwhelming at times however Aston made the process very simple. 10/10. Also Tony and Emily at the Swaffham branch are great. All very friendly and they are there for you across your house buying journey.

When we decided to sell our family home there was no question to which estate agents we was going to use , WHBrowns Thorne as we had dealt with them before on a family property . Well this time with our own property it was no differant , Katie & her team was AMAZING . Up for sale , offer in day after over asking price , so professional Say no more what else could they have done ….. Well they all went above and beyond for us personally . During the sale process my wife’s mam was ill and we was hoping for her to see our new property upon completion , Katie & her team yet again got the whole chain completion done within 8 weeks ( unfortunately not in-time for mam to get to see our new property ) but that said they did everything within their power which we are truly grateful for . Thank you to the BEST Team within W H Browns Thorne , they made it so stress free for us from start to finish . if we was ever to move again ( which were not ) πŸ˜‚ there would only be one estate agents we would use xx

I found a rental property online and…

I found a rental property online and asked for a viewing. The property was located over 100 miles from my residence and as a consequence of this the employee said that they had a recent video of the property, she sent it to me and it looked amazing so I put in an offer. Contracts were exchanged and then on the day of moving the agency contacted me to inform me that the cooker had been condemned and had to be removed from the property and that the landlord was now refusing to buy a cooker and that they were not required to provide one. As you can appreciate at this stage I was very upset, however the agents said they would get back to the landlord to see if she would change her mind. The contracts had already been exchanged and the landlord was refusing to honour her side of the agreement on the moving day when the arrangements had been made and I had moved out of my current home. I would not use this company at all they have no common decency and to add salt to the wound I have to take them to court to get my money back for the E first months rent and deposit because they think that I should be held to the fixed term contract and be liable for paying the rent nevertheless! Do not trust this company!!!

We just recently completed on our second home with the help of William Brown and the entire process from start to finish on both occasions was brilliant. Always kept us up to date on any small details, never had to chase for updates or follow ups from promises of this and that. 100% will be using them again for future purchases as well! The staff are all great with special mentions to Hannah and Harley who both understood my severe ADHD and really went above and beyond to communicate information to me in a way I could process and fully understand! Keep smashing it guys - very highly recommended!!! regards Liam & Alexis

Megan is the best! She was thorough and professional and great to work with. She kept us apprised about available appointments and always let us know as soon as a new property was coming/came on the market. She was honest and forthright- no games she was an fantastic negotiator as she got us several offers above our asking price allowing us to find an even better future family home!. Thank you Megan once again!

I recently purchased a property through William h brown and can say I wouldn't be sat in it right now if it wasn't for Katie chasing numerous people and hurrying things along , even things which weren't her job but the job of my financial advisor who arranged the mortgage to contact someone in the bank she even did this for me because my advisor said it's not his job to sort and she knocked another long wait off the completion date . Would highly recommend this branch to anyone !

Do not use this estate agent

Do not use this estate agent. They did not act in our interest and quite openly attempted to bully us into selling our property at well under the market value. We had a ridiculous offer, which they just expected us to take. Zero effort made to push the property after the offer.

William H Brown - Bury St Edmunds

If I could score higher, I would! Richie and Charlie are excellent estate agents. Richie was very personable and kept our information on file, so once a property came up to view that met our needs, he contacted us immediately. They were both extremely professional, friendly, and quick to respond to any queries we had. The best experience with estate agents we’ve ever had, hands down! Couldn’t recommend this team enough.

Rebecca Bradshaw was excellent. She was always available, returned calls promptly , did whatever she said she was going to do and throughout was communicative , helpful and professional. The purchaser’s solicitor required a great deal of chasing ; Rebecca followed up tenaciously to help get the deal done and kept us informed of developments at all times . If I were still in business, Rebecca is just the sort of person I’d love to employ !PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Honestly I do not know where to start with thanking Katie and her team at William H Brown Thorne. Each and every one of them are so helpful and always at the end of the phone when needed. Katie has been like my own personal therapist throughout the house buying process - she has explained every step of the process throughout, been available to listen to my issues and concerns and deal with them not just professionally but with personal care too. Thankyou again guys xx

From initial enquiries and valuation right up to completion and moving day, the service provided by William H Brown at Thorne could not be faulted. Rebecca Bradshaw attended for initial valuation and provided us with an honest valuation which we were very happy with. We did not feel the need to go elsewhere as the valuation was in line with what we had thought anyway. We went to sale straight away and she provided us with regular updates and was always mindful of our busy schedules when arranging viewings. Once we accepted an offer on our property, Rebecca and Katie went over and above to help us find our dream home which we moved into in the last two weeks. They provided constant updates and listened to my regular panics and moans via phone, this being the first time we have ever sold a home. When sorting the mortgage out, Harley Banks was brilliant, he found us the best deal and also listened to my regular worries, and answered my endless emails. Also to mention, Megan and Oliver at the Thorne Branch were very knowledgeable when I called and were always friendly and willing to help. Hands down, the best service throughout and we would 100% recommend this branch to anyone we know. They all made a very stressful process more manageable. Special thanks to Rebecca though, an absolute delight to deal with and I can honestly say, there was nothing that she would not do to make sure the sale and purchase went well for us.

I do not have words for this level of unprofessionalism and incomptence

Just poor on every level. Communciation has been abysmal from the start. I feel I have been lied to on several occasions and it is clear most members of staff don't give a damn. Avoid I have the great displeasure having to deal with these people over the last fortnight regarding a property I want to rent. There have been issues right off the bat, including an agent called George not turning up to a viewing because he forgot and it taking four days and six phonecalls for me to be told that no-one in the office I was calling was going to call me back and I needed to call elsewhere. No apologies offered at all. It got worse when I put in an offer on a property though. When I put in my offer I was asked some questions and these identified I would need someone to guarantee my lease. That's fine, I'd anticipated that and my parents were willing to do this for me. I dealt with an agent called Sam who called them before putting in my offer to ensure they would meet the criteria for a guarantor. At this point, or at any point during the process, Sam never gave any indication that they did not. This only came to light approximately a week before I was due to move in (my parents are semi retired and generate a portion of their income through investment property and the stock market. This was apparently unacceptable for a guarantor. Which would have been fine, if Sam had told them that from the start). We found a solution, where my parents would pay my first six months rent and I'd then rent from the landlord. I had to chase (approximately four phone calls) to get this answer from him and even then, I had send him back to renegotiate as he had not done this properly (he attempted to agree a six month lease when both me and the landlady wanted something longer). When putting in my offer, I had agreed to go into a zero deposit scheme and paid Β£250 in order to do this. The issue with the gaurantee also took my out of this scheme, although this was never communicated to me at all. If I had known, then I would have reconsidered my position. Because Sam did not mention the problem when it arose, I was not afforded this opportunity. The only warning I had that extra money was needed, came to light when the invoice arrived and they had stuck an additional Β£1200 onto the fees. The only possible inkling we had about this was a phone call from Sam about 20 minutes before the invoice was sent, which lasted for all of 30 seconds and briefly mentioned a deposit. Something that I thought had already been paid and had no reason to suspect otherwise. I want to be clear here, the fact I failed the checks is not the problem (I'm a recent university graduate moving from part time to full time work and separating from my partner. I'm not naive to the fact I do not look good on paper). The lack of communication and the lack of care from Sam and his director, Rachel is. They prevented me from making a decision with the full facts. I have been left feeling utterly lied to and like I have no choice but to find an additional insane amount of money or leave me and my children homeless. Salt was further rubbed into the wound as when I called Rachel to discuss this, she sadly decided to double down on the lie that Sam had discussed this deposit with me and implied I was making it up. I have emails to confirm this deposit was never mentioned. No apologies were forthcoming, just a shoulder shrug and an offer to refund my holding deposit as well as a sly comment that it's a landlord's market right now, which is just further confirmation of how little they value potential tenants. No property is worth having to deal with these people.
