GoogleThey are the worst letting agents I've ever seen and I've been a tenant for 15 years, including 5 years in the UK. They are shocking, if you are a tenant or a landlord, you should definitely avoid them. They put me (when I was 9 months pregnant) with my husband in an old-fashioned home without any basic check to make sure everything works properly. For the first few days we saw that the boiler is not working, the shower is not connected and there is a leak in the kitchen. Then they sent us a contractor who preferred to just stand and look, call friends and eat crisps rather than do his job. When we started refusing access, because the contractor did not perform his work as it should be (for example, he was changing the toilet flush 6 hours!, saying 'oh, that's fine, I earn 30£ per hour') and we wrote to the agency that we would like to move out, they sent us an eviction notice. I could write a lot more, but it's not worth it. They gave us a lot of stress and frustration. The only nice person in the office is Lauren, who always apologizes for any inconvenience. The rest of the staff are more than rude, terrible and extremely unfriendly, without any empathy. They are so extremely rude that they can even shout at you in your own home. Lauren, you should consider moving your job to any better company, as you are a polite person, not up to 'Monsters & co's' standards. ;) And to anyone: please, do not rent house on 2 Lime Avenue, it might look nice in the first glance, but it's a hovel. ;)NegativeProfessionalism

FacebookMartin & Co made buying my first home ridiculously easy. They regularly got in touch to guide us through the process and keep us updated. I hope in the future, if and when I buy my next home, I can use Martin & Co again. Special mention to Matt, Jonathan and Lorna. Thank you Martin & Co!

GoogleFull marks to Martin&Co for yet another successful sale. It has been refreshing to work with such consummate professionals. Sadly this makes the end of a 15 year association said Company. A special mention to Claire & Jo who have 'delivered' every time.
Well done all.

FacebookThe service from Martin & Co has been absolutely brilliant. We dealt with Lorna who was more than helpful all the way through moving into our first house together. Thanks to her everything went very smoothly. We have been here 4 months now and not had one single problem with the agency. Top notch!

GoogleUnprofessional.
I was in the process of buying a house with them and it was removed from their website. When my mortgage was taking a long time to deliver (due to covid), it was then readvertised on their website as sstc, and the person who also made an offer 4 months earlier, on the property miraculously found out and gazumped us, I feel that they facilitated this.
Me and my husband were heartbroken as we had found our dream home.

TrustpilotAbsolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. Very, very poor quality of customer service. The staff isn't professional at all. After moving into the property, when there are some issues, you could see that they are unhelpful, unfriendly and even more than rude! The only thing they care are their money I'm afraid. Worst tenancy ever - extremely stressful. Wouldn't recommend them even to the worst enemy! If you would like to know more, please read Google reviews.

GoogleShocking experience. Rented a house for 1.5 years from these, gave them 6 weeks notice of moving out, they came and did checks on the property and had viewings on the property and then decided to charge me £445.00 once I left for not leaving the house how they wanted me to leave it and for "damage" to the property. They charged me £130 for a deep clean of the house when in times of COVID they should be completing deep cleans regardless and not charging the ex-tenant. They tried to say the problem was because I had a cat, when the landlord came to visit me and I told her about the cat and she was happy with it. They didn't contact me at all in the process, just kept telling me to refer to "the contract" and sending me rude abrupt emails and then when I ask for my personal letters, they don't give them to me or promise dates and then go back on what they say. I have a 2 year old young girl with me who lived at the property, and I got scrutinised for every mark on the carpet, which is wear and tear of the property they just wanted to get as much money from my deposit as possible. I am so glad to be out of a agreement with them! They are shocking if you are wanting to rent a property do NOT use these!!!!!

GoogleIf I was a tenant looking for an estate agent I would never go back here and if I was a landlord looking for someone to take the hassle away from letting a property then please do not use this company as they will make you do all the work anyway!
Without drawing too much attention to the length of time it took for our application to be accepted and the keys being handed over, we were misinformed multiple times by different people in the office regarding when we would receive the keys. We were told the handover would be ready for Friday to find out this was not the case, and the process took another 3 weeks to complete. Throughout the 3 weeks we were again misinformed about details that were required, despite us already providing said details!
Since moving into the property, the boiler was not working and there were numerous STAINED bedsheets and duvets left behind by the previous tenants, who haven't lived there for 6 months might I add. When raising these issues to the office, we were told to check a switch underneath the boiler because if they had to arrange a callout we would be charged. I fail to understand how a new tennant raising an issue when first moving in would have to pay for any issues associated with the property. We eventually solved this problem by contacting the landlord directly and it appears the gas mains switch to the property was turned off by previous tenants and as tenants we were not allowed to touch such a switch. This further goes to show that we should not have had to pay for any call outs to the property, as that switch is not to be touched by us. How can they can themselves property management.
With this problem solved, we then moved onto the filthy bedding left by the previous tenants, my partner called them three times regarding this and there was no answer. I called them from my mobile (the one they did not have recorded on our file, might I add) and to my amazement they answered immediately. They told me they would pass this on to their maintenance team and for me to expect a call back. I had no call back in a week and when chasing this up with them was told it had been passed on and there's nothing they can do about it. 4-5 weeks later and again, I have had to call the landlord to arrange collection of the bedding because our bin collection won't take it.
When we recently had our first property review by Martin & Co, the representative advised us to cut the bedding into small pieces and put it in a black bag for our bin collection. I am sorry, but the bedding is stained and amidst the covid pandemic I don't see this as great advice, more-so a death wish.

I would be happy to recommend your services to others.

FacebookI asked about a property to rent and straight away I got asked for my work status when I explained I was out of work with a disabled son who I care for full time turned into apparently only housing key workers?! spoke to council who dismissed this statement I mentioned this to yourselves who then replied asking if I had a guarantor, just because I dont work doesn't mean I sponge of the government and wont pay my rent! I find this offensive and its discriminatory! i have the first months rent and the bond but safe to say I'll take my money else were!

GoogleI am not into leaving bad reviews but I've felt the hand of unfairness with this company, I was warned too.
Long and short of it I was assured we could apply for a property (One of us has good credit, the other not so good). Viewed the property Friday and assured of contact back the same afternoon with the relevant forms the same day, no reply. I chased Friday afternoon, as of Saturday still no reply.
This morning Martin & Co's automated system requesting feedback from the viewing was more punctual than Magdalena, the letting agent. She claims she was out on viewings hence not contacting me, what she forgets is I placed a business card in her hand on Friday meaning she could have just picked up the phone, not responding to someone is totally unprofessional, and laughable when the automated emailing system beats you to it.
We are now told we cannot even apply even though she assured us we could on Friday, this company is not punctual or professional, clearly makes promises they can't keep, and had I not responded on the automated system I can guess I wouldn't have heard back. Joke really!
Wouldn't recommend and avoid where possible.

Googlestarting at the beginging
- they messed up the moving date
- promised to fix the hole in the wall before we moved in (plot twist its been two months and its still there)
- Informed them the washing machine leaked as there was a chunk missing out the seal before we moved in and this was only resolved recently
- boiler broke got someone to look at it was given temporary fix till they got the part
this was all just in the first month but it brings me to this weekend when the boiler broke (because they never fixed it). so today the plumber came round and we recived an email after I rang about 5 times but apparently property management weren't answering and the person on the phone couldnt walk across the office and find out why (this was the actually excuse given) anyway i digress, in the email they stated that the landlord gave the go ahead (which already had been given a month ago to fix the issue) but the part will be 4 days for an emergency problem that they knew about (from a month ago).
so after reciveing this I rang since the property manager just emailed meaning they were there but still no answer (Suprising I know) i eventually got someone saying the out of hours team would call me back, this was at 5pm its now 1 in the morning. oh and when I asked what the number for this team was (as I was losing faith at this point strangly) they jist dodged the question.
I'm now currently waiting for there reply to my follow up email tomorrow.
But if you cant be bothered to read all this the main points to take away are that you should go literally anywhere else but this branch if youre renting in doncaster.

GoogleI would like to thank everyone at Martin & Co Doncaster for the excellent service I have recently received as a landlord. Firstly the sale of a property stuck in lock down was quickly completed once able to do so.Secondly I cannot thank the letting team for introducing what I can only describe as the model tenant.I find everyone in the office to be hard working, pro active and professional.

GoogleAs a landlord, I've used Martin & Co's tenant seek services for several years now. I initially chose them above other estate agents based upon their competitive pricing structure. I've always been very impressed by their ability to find the right tenant in extremely quick timescales. When letting my property it has never been on the market for more than a couple of weeks before they come forward with a suitable tenant. They fully vet potential tenants and to date I've never had any significant issues. With regards to my most recent let, they found me a tenant within 30mins of me giving them permission to advertise my property. Excellent service as always, and they come highly recommended.
