I repeat do not take any property from these people, they are absolutely a nightmare. Taking an apartment from them is the worst decision of my life. They have absolutely no customer service, they are reapers and all they want is to take your money off you when you leave. I paid £721.15 for my deposit, they didn’t even send me a quote for cleaning when I moved out, even though the property wasn’t cleaned when I moved in and they promised me I won’t be charged when I move out because I cleaned it myself. These people are absolutely refusing to give me back my money. They failed to follow the tenancy agreements signed. They want to charge me for an apartment I didn’t live in when I moved out. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE ANY APARTMENT FROM THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I was a witness to the phone call made by Mace to the Doncaster branch . He called to enquire when payment would be made for a 3 week job that he had completed in a property they managed. He had already been given two dates of payment which had lapsed. The work in the property had been inspected and deemed as excellent with his business card being requested as they were always looking for good tradesmen ( after Mace’s experience I know why they are always looking ! ) Mace spoke to the first administrator asking when payment would be , after the conversation the administrator relayed that he was being aggressive, I was dumbfounded at that response 😲 at this Mace asked to speak with the manager . He spoke with this agency administrator and went through his dates again for payment that was given to him by two other admin staff previously and was told it would now be the following week after the bank holiday . Mace asked for his card to be ripped up as he now no longer wanted to do any more work for this agent and would let his fellow tradesmen know at how they would be treat. This manager then informed Mace that he was making a threat😳 . Mace in no way was aggressive he did not raise his voice he did not threaten the staff and he did not use bad language, at no point did Mace threaten the staff …The two staff need to look up the definitions for aggression and threat and if they are scared of phone calls then they are not in the correct job ! I was absolutely appalled at these two staff members treating a tradesman as if he was a mere know body and I would suggest a course in customer services be taken . Mace is a veteran of the armed forces and has seen and been through some horrendous things. To be told he is aggressive and threatening was way out of order and to be spoken to in a condescending manner was appalling! Mace has asked for a recording of the conversation to be made available as he asked if it had been recorded he was not informed the conversation would be recorded at the onset , surely this is unlawful ? Better procedures need to be in place for tradesmen, with dedicated staff that actually care and can provide help with concerns when asked , they should not have to beg for payment . I bet the staff in the agency don’t have to beg for their pay at the end of the month!!!!

TRADES MEN BEWARE!!!!!!! if you are a skilled tradesman AVOID Martin & Co doncaster like a dose of the clap!!! You will be told a heap of lies by rude, ignorant and uneducated staff when coming to get payment, who obviously think that they are above the rest of the world! It's now been 2 weeks since my invoice was put in and still no payment 02-05-24 and still no answer to the day MY MONEY will hit my account!!! Bearing in mind I've been told on 3 separate occasions that my bill will be paid by 01-05-24!! When I say the staff are rude, ignorant, and uneducated I mean this in the strongest terms! The two members of staff know who they are, I won't name them, but for the sake of this review let's call the manager I spoke to KAREN 1 and let's call the other member of staff KAREN 2. Well what can I say? KAREN 2 believes that ASKING for my business card to be disposed of and not to be contacted for any further work is THREATENING BEHAVIOUR!!! (Now that is the first sign of ignorance and an uneducated mind). KAREN 2 also likes to talk to people very RUDELY but in that fake posh phone voice believing she is superior to everyone else!! and as soon as your voice goes up by a ferrets fart, is extremely offended and is in fear of her personal safety and life!! And is planning on joining the witness protection program. KAREN 1 is just as laughable and feels that an honest trades man earning an honest wage is AGGRESSIVE when asking without aggression when his money for the hard work over the past 3 weeks is going to be paid (second sign of ignorance and an uneducated mind). Like KAREN 2 KAREN 1 also likes to talk in that condescending fake posh tone obviously KAREN 1 and KAREN 2 have been to the same customer service training course down the posh food aisle marks and Spencers sipping pimms on their breaks! Like KAREN 2, KAREN 1 is in fear of her life and is now planning on changing her name and moving to a remote cave somewhere on the moon! It's all good for Martin & co though as there will be a teenager wanting work experience that will be much more professional and experienced than KAREN 1. There is a silver lining to every cloud though for KAREN 1 and KAREN 2 at least they have been paid on time for there work over the past month and havnt had to worry how materials, mortgage, gas, leccy, food, fuel, TV licence, business outgoings and all other bills are going to get paid. Tradesmen beware!!!!

Tradesmen beware!!!!! You will be waiting an age to get paid and when you call asking where your hard earned money is you are met with rude, ignorant and uneducated staff. Tradesmen you will be spoken too like you are the dregs of society. They say they are always looking for tradesmen!!!! There is a reason for this maybe because they are condescending, don't pay their bills and think they are better than the rest of the worlds population. The manager is the worst and must have got the job after showing her only qualification and cetificate for retrieving a rubber brick from the bottom of a swimming pool in her pyjamas. The staff are under the illusion that tapping a keyboard with 1 finger and talking to humans like scum is an actual skilled job but in reality any man and his dog could do their job to a much higher standard. So you have been warned tradesmen!! If you like getting paid for your hard work and like to pay your bills on time then avoid martin&co doncaster!!!!! Martin & co doncaster is now on the tradesmans blacklist for poor payers and rude staff so all good tradesmen in doncaster can avoid.

So far fine, until it comes to return the deposit back. They claimed huge amount on little cleaning things. I opted to go with DPS to resolve the dispute and there decision is to return half of the money they claimed. Much appreciated DPS help. General advice, please take good photos when you move in and then moving out from the property so you have a proof, I missed that. Secondly always use DPS to resolve the dispute, this will save your money. Good Luck.

If I could post a 10 out of 5 star review for Martin & Co., I would. I decided to use their services after seeing 3 or 4 properties in my area being sold very quickly by this estate agent - and importantly, none, apart from one, came back on the market. Jo originally valued my house in May, it took me a while to decide but there was no pushy behaviour from her team. Finally in July I took the plunge, Jo and Claire saw to everything, including 20 viewings and 5 offers. Both ladies are definitely in the right jobs and their diplomacy and personal skills in keeping everybody happy are second to none (I'm sorry guys but women are just so much better at sales!). They certainly know their trade, living in the area themselves for the majority of their lives and work very hard to ensure that any offers are substantiated. Jo takes the time to explain your options and give any advice and their knowledge of local solicitors is also invaluable. Martin & Co. are worth EVERY penny for their services (which, incidentally are not expensive!) It is also worthwhile using the services of their mortgage broker, a very personable service which also allows things to be kept 'in-house'. The team at Martin & Co. don't just sell houses - they have helped me achieve my dream of being able to surf regularly and have a dog. I will be eternally grateful to them for that! Lack of follow through on viewings. Negative attitude, suggesting I should put planning permission in place, change right of access to the property to amend things that weren't an issue, such as no off-street parking for a victorian terrace where you wouldn't expect parking in the first place. Left lights on in my unoccupied property for a week between viewings on more than one occasion and left loft hatch open during cold weather costing me extra money. Needless to say I had to change estate agents . I had the impression the whole time that they just didn't care. I would NOT recommend if you are wanting a professional and proactive agent to sell your home!

Just generally very unhelpful and unresponsive. Repair requests were logged and chased multiple times, with nothing ever being done. We spent months using appliances that weren't in full working condition. There was a hole in the wall they were unwilling to repair, a broken toilet seat, and a constant foul sewerage smell in our en-suite to name just a few things we dealt with throughout our 18 month tenancy. At all opportunities, extra fees were charged for 'admin' or some other nonsense. Would not recommend, however we are yet to find a letting agency we would.

Landlords you need to use these guys! I can't recommend these guys enough! For my first rental property, they got me more than my mortgage surveyor thought the property was worth! Also, they got full time employed tenants within 2 weeks! In a previous life I've spent 12 years working in property, so I've seen the worst in Doncaster and the best and these guys are the best! Brutally Shocking Reviews by tenants and prospective homebuyers ! My local window cleaner is 65 years old, travels on a push bike to clean windows, gutters and doors for a honest living! Carrying a simple kitt and extendable ladders, provides better customer satisfaction and nevers let's the community down...all missed calls are returned within the hour by using a simple basic mobile nothing fancy at all. Never been formally educated nor attended any courses etc yet has provides the countless properties with his humble service, no complaints have ever been bought against him in a 55 year work history! If this small window cleaning business can succeed and please long-term customers why can't Martin & Co? Clearly the simple answer is GREED, CORRUPTION and sheer CONTEMPT TOWARDS PATRONS.
