Following on from previous reviews, the team at Harron rally round to reassure us that they are making improvements but nothing is actually done. Having ran through all our outstanding issues again (lost count of how many times this has been done) on 2nd November, we still are waiting for responses on a number of issues. Chased for updates on 28th Nov and still nothing. 14 months in and still waiting for responses on issues raised on day one, simple things. Why is this so painful. Harron, You need a consultant in to work on your customer service as it really is the worst I have ever encountered. (Plot 62 KingsCroft Holden)**Update - Received response today, maybe a coincidence in timing following this review, maybe not! However Harron have done the usual of skirting around the legalities to wriggle out of any customer care! Full tile floor relay required in 80% of our downstairs space due to a poor finish, nail in grout, cracking tiles. We were advised we could pick a new tile design, which we did. When the floor was re laid they ignored the new choice and relaid the same design we originally had. We did inform them on day one of the project, when only a few tiles had gone down and there was time to rectify the issue, again we were ignored! When the floor had been relaid, Harron neglected to line up the trades to come in and get the outstanding remedial jobs done, cleaning, skirts fitted and glossing, doors being rehung, etc…. We then spent the following week doing most of this ourselves. Harron think this is acceptable as their legal obligation is to replace like for like! They didn’t though did they, we have given up a week of annual leave to complete the tasks they didn’t do! This company does not care and will hide behind whatever rubbish they can to avoid spending a penny on customer care. Anyone considering a Harron Home, please don’t put yourself through the misery.

🌟Highly Recommend🌟 -Penny Rands, The Brambles. We recently had the pleasure of working with Penny Rands at Harron Homes, to purchase my new home, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, she was incredibly helpful, kind, and always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Her communication skills were top-notch, and she made the entire process smooth and stress-free from her side. We truly felt like she had our best interests heart. We’ve heard many horror stories of buying a new build but Penny has helped keep us at ease by explaining the process and all the checks that holes go through to ensure they are to a correct standard, which really helped us. After we moved in Penny was there to check everything was going well. She was very supportive post moving. We’ve been lucky and only had a few cosmetic jobs to be done, which Paul (site manager) and his team have nearly completed already!! (We have been in our home for a little over a week). Alls good for the 1st year or so but after 2 years cracks everywhere, gaps appearing on the stair, plants all die as they can't survive in the clay soil. Houses behind us have had to have their lawns re turfed now flooding several gardens. Reached out many times including the site manager but nothing. Wish you could add pictures on here.

We apologise that you have been dissatisfied with our service. We note that you completed on your home in 2022, and upon reviewing your file we have no record of any reported cracking to your stairs during the initial two-year warranty period.
We assume the issues referred to in your survey are general settlement cracks, however, we are prepared to investigate further if required.
With regards to the garden issues raised, we have noted that excessive watering has caused problems with your garden and neighbouring gardens which we have discussed with you in the past.

Do not buy any of the houses in the Ripon plot .Shocking is to nice a word to describe the experience.3years in roads still not finished.Warzones have less craters as there too big to be potholes .Over sized speed bumps put in place with held office told they where standard haha.4x4s struggled to get over.Lots of cars damaged because of themEspecially exhausted,bushes bumpers.Even an ambulance couldn't get in .That's just an example.Houses blocked off with no warning .Left with massive holes in the road .No covering put in place.ie hole 8ft wide 6 ft deep .No thought of the 5 houses that lived past the hole.All with young kids etc .Inside the houses well there's not enough room to write all the complaints on here.Small example is ...Banisters falling down 3 days in.Loft hatch falling out.Doors not fitting .Fans not working.Fences falling down before you move in.Rubble not grass in gardens.Back step and front steps all loose .Fake weep holes in the walls.Faulty windows etc etc etc Just shocking Not to mention the builders and the site rubbish parking etc .Wood left hanging over footpaths to nature walks .Just shocking shocking .

What can I say. It all started quite innocently from a drive down and a little look around. Gave our details to the office as we were looking for a 3 bed, none available at the time. Fast forward 3 weeks later and a phone call out of the blue from Charlotte at Shipley Lakeside. Asked me if we would be interested in a 4 bedroom property that had been reduced. Appt made that weekend, came down to view, Charlotte gave us a very extensive and professional viewing of the property, gave us time to take in all the information she was giving us, no pressure at any time. We told her we loved it and would be instructing estate agents on the Monday. House on the market by Thursday, sold by Friday. Rang Charlotte and Sarah and gave them the good news, they were just as excited as us at the speed of the sale. Another appt made to come and see Sarah that weekend to get the property reserved. Sarah took her time and went through all the different plans, site drawings that she needed to, never felt rushed. House reserved that day. Contact from both Charlotte and Sarah didn’t stop once we had reserved. We got weekly photos every Monday showing progress of our house. Regular phone calls from them both to see how things were progressing with solicitors (Ison Harrison). Felt like we were important to them. Every time we came to site to see either of the ladies they always took their time to deal with whatever query we had. Both Charlotte and Sarah are an asset to the company, they are the great mixture of friendly yet professional. Had a full house demo before moving in, met Richard and Jamie (both again very approachable and friendly) went through all items within the house that we needed to know. Listen to Richard when he tells you to put a potato in your oven for an hour, it will take all the oil out of it and no burning smell. It really does work, thankyou Richard. We moved into our lovely Harron home 9 weeks later. Charlotte and Sarah made it feel very special and came down to our house to hand over keys and another photo of us outside our lovely new home. Few days after moving in Jamie popped round to see if all ok, spoke about few little issues. Nothing major, these are currently being worked through. Love our new Harron Home, would definitely recommend Harron Homes. Love it at Shipley Lakeside.

I bought a Harron Home at Brierley Heath in September 2022. The house is lovely, & the build is great. Couldn’t be happier.It’s the first time I’ve bought a new build property, and although there were a few snagging details that needed seeing too, the site manager Todd Scott has been amazing, nothing is to much trouble & he’s kept me up to date and got jobs sorted quickly. I can’t sing his praises enough. I would definitely recommend buying a Harron home at Brierley Heath.

Leaving a 5* review for Jeanett at Thorpe meadows. We reserved a plot , she worked with us and gave us extra time after we lost a buyer. We ended up finding another but in the mean time with extra time to think it over we realised the house or plot wasn’t for us so we have cancelled. Jeanett was amazing through it all and couldn’t have done enough to help us. If we decide to buy at Thorpe meadows in the future on the release next year on a property we prefer , we will be straight back to see her.
