GoogleAfter visiting several Harron Homes developments across Yorkshire, we were starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by the pushy sales tactics we encountered. Josh was a total breath of fresh air. Unlike the others, he was incredibly patient, helpful, and offered genuine advice that actually helped our decision making process. Because of his professional and relaxed approach, my partner and I are now much more interested in this development over the others we've seen.

We walked in Shipley Park frequently and had spotted the Harron Homes development. We went in to talk to Charlotte and get some advice when we sold our own home very quickly. She was so helpful and engaging, telling us everything about the homes and the development. We knew we wanted to buy but unfortunately no new homes were available in our timescale. For that reason we looked for a home being resold and have recently bought and moved into a Tonbridge. We absolutely love the house and the surroundings. We couldn’t be happier!

A year ago we started the process of looking into a new build home. Harron homes caught our eye because the house designs are attractive and have character to them. When we found our ideal area our site manager Ann was absolutely fantastic in helping us get set up going above and beyond to help us land our dream home and she was always available to ease any worries, answer questions and generally just being an amazing person to work with.

TrustpilotThings aren't good at the Hawthorns
My wife and I were looking to move into the Snaith or Carlton area and I had been advised that there may be a good deal to be had at the Harron homes Hawthornes estate in Carlton, so today we set out to take a look, we didn't initially call into the sales office as we wanted to get a feel of the estate, unfortunately our first impressions were not good at all. The road as you drive around the estate is awful, I would say if you don't have a 4x4 or SUV you will lose a tyre or two over time, we drove down Vincent Street and turned right where we were met with a fenced off area that was very overgrown with 4 foot high weeds, this actually turned out to be plot 101, one of the plots we were interested in, and through the weeds you can actually see the foundations, it's quite strange that Harron would allow an estate that they are still developing get into such a way. There was also scrapped windows and doors dumped on the car park next to the weed bed. We bumped into a resident who advised us the site has been closed for months and no one is managing it, which explains the condition of the site. I am sure there is a rational explanation, but do Harron actually thing that leaving a development in this way, uncared for & weed infested will sell houses? No, well not to me anyway. Get a grip Harron and get the Hawthorns Estate tidied up!

TrustpilotI've seen better build quality in a lego set
Buying a harron home is hands down the single worst financial and emotional decision. Do not be fooled by almost perfect show homes or the slick sale pitches. The reality is a living nightmare built on shoddy craftsmanship, cheap material and a total lack of human deceny. It feels like they just handed a bunch of tools to people and said "here you go" The customer service team are a black hole of neglect. Once they have your money you cease to exist. Emails disappear as if they work for MI5, broken promises and lies - on the odd occasion someone comes to fix a snag, they either turn up late, not at all or do a bodged patch up job. They have zero accountability and will blame you before they even take responsibility for their own subpar work. They are damaging to people's quality of life and mental health and will end up sending someone to an early grave. An absolute joke.

From the initial purchase through to moving in and settling into our new home, we have been extremely pleased with the overall experience. The quality and finish of the property have been excellent, and it is clear that a great deal of care has gone into the construction and finishing of the house. We particularly appreciate the thought that has gone into the layout and design of the home. It is practical, modern and has given our family everything we were looking for in a new home. The house feels well built, comfortable and has quickly become a place that we are very proud to call home. The Harron Homes team have also been friendly, approachable and helpful throughout the process. Any questions we have had have been dealt with professionally, and we have always felt that our concerns were listened to. Overall, we are extremely happy with our Harron home and would have no hesitation in recommending Harron Homes to anyone considering buying a new property. We are very pleased with the quality of our home and, most importantly, we are enjoying living in it

What if we hadn’t of popped in for a ‘chat’? We wouldn't be in our absolutely beautiful dream home (don’t get me started on the dreamy views) and we couldn't have done it without the incredible Ann. She made the whole experience stress free and positive. Anything we needed sorting, she’d sort it. Any questions were answered instantly. She knew how important this move was not just for us but for our little girl and we cannot thank her enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish, harron would be lost without Ann, a real asset but also such a wonderful person! And thank you to Todd too, absolute top bloke and answers any questions you have, again a real asset to Harron! Thanks again!

My journey started with Harron initially many months ago when I decided it was time to move on. I have dealt with a number of different staff along the way. My involvement with them took off in April when my purchase was agreed. For 4 months I have felt very comfortable with the process ( having not moved for 40 years) and Rachel has been a constant source of support. She has chased my solicitors and those belonging to my chain in order to obtain a speedy completion. Would recommend them to anyone.

We came to view the Brierley Heath development just for a look, but was shown not only the show homes but were taken up to some of the semi-built homes to view and fell in love with a plot! Ann was fantastic throughout the whole process, very knowledgeable and kept us up to date with photos of our house being built until completion. The part exchange process was easy, and Ann was able to help with any questions we had!

A massive thank you to Liz Cooper at the Wyndthorpe Chase development. We are first time buyers and I had spotted an unavailable plot online due to not being released yet. Myself and my partner went to have a look around the development and Liz took us into both a house that was a blank canvas and one that was fully furnished. This gave us such a great insight into the size and space of the house and what it would look like finished. As first time buyers we didn’t have all the knowledge to hand but Liz gave us some great advice on mortgage brokers, financial advisors and how to get going on our purchase. On the same Sunday I was able to speak to the advisors she had suggested and get the ball rolling for a mortgage in principle to purchase our first home. In the meantime Liz managed to get the developers to release the plot that we wanted early so that we could reserve and buy as soon as we had confirmation. Liz got us our perfect first home at an amazing deal and has since continued to provide support advice and check in on our progress with buying our home. We cannot wait to go back to the development and get picking our home features! The new builds come with so many great benefits and so many choices to choose from when it comes to kitchens carpets etc. I don’t think this process would have been as quick, easy, nice & enjoyable without Liz! September/October 2023 I kept complaining about my front door. A number of work men came out and the problem was never resolved. Then 2 more men came replaced one by one all the workings on the door. There was still a problem. The site manager ordered a new door. NOV2023. I was told 3 months. I kept getting told it was not ready and we don’t fit doors in this weather.On the 16th May totally annoyed by now. I’m informed they want to send the door company out. I was not happy. 7 months now. I asked to speak to Tracey head of customer services that morning16/05. I rang back in the afternoon and she’d gone home. I left a message for her to ring me the next morning and I still have not heard from her. I put in a formal complaint in the sales office about it. As of today 03/06 I’ve not heard from Tracey head of Custer services or anyone else. Now my brother lives with me and he is autistic. So when he can’t lock the door or one of the other problems we have with the door. He goes into melt down because it’s his safety. It’s myself and his work that has to deal with him then. I have explained this to all parties. We were told we needed a whole new door. November23. No one can tell me why this has changed. They want to send a company out and we may then have to still wait.WHY HAS HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES NEVER BEEN IN TOUCH ???

I would just like to provide some feedback for the outstanding service provided to us by Caroline Dennis, Senior Sales Executive at the Pocklington High Gables site of Harron Homes over the last 4 months.In these days where people are very quick to complain, I wanted to put in writing some positive feedback on one your employees.My wife and I have been trying to downsize from a 5 bed 3 storey house to a Tonbridge and since January, Caroline has been continually dedicated to trying to making this happen for us by:1. Calling me regularly over 4 months, to check on any change in our House sale position (It has taken us 5 months to sell).2. Exploring a wide variety of finance options in order to find a way for us to buy the Harron Home we wanted, including even working with our Estate Agents & offsetting some of their costs. 3. Negotiating with the Harron Homes senior management on several occasions to deliver a deal on 2 different plots which was beneficial for both me as the Customer and Harron Homes.Unfortunately, even with the substantial discounts Harron Homes generously offered on the 2 Tonbridges, we were unable to take advantage as it would have left us right at our maximum budget. Although we are mortgage free, my job situation has recently become more unstable with being made redundant twice in the last 6 months. So, as we needed contingency for my situation, we reluctantly chose not to progress with a new house and instead buy a 10 year old house at a lower pricepoint.However, throughout the whole sales process, we have been very impressed, not only with the quality of the Harron Homes, but also the high quality of Caroline’s dedication and professionalism

TrustpilotWe bought a plot on Wyndthorpe chase
We bought a plot on Wyndthorpe chase, the builders are cowboys I would avoid!! They have built houses 1.5metres above ground level and not thought about the flood risk that a 200 year old oak tree sitting 1.5metres below house levels would create, it is a danger to life, we can’t let our kids play outside because of the risk it poses, they have attempted to fix’ the issue 3 times now by just throwing some stones in the ground, with no output anywhere for the water to go so it just fills up like a swimming pool whenever we get rain, and I won’t get started on the quality of the builds, and 4.2 on Trustpilot is a load of rubbish I don’t no anyone in this development who are happy with their homes so clearly a lot of fake reviews!

What a lovely development. Just reserved a Shelford today. The house is ready to move into and have to say the finish and specification are very good.The development has excellent communication links with the M18, A1 a short distance away.The Lakeside retail and leisure facilities are just 5 minutes away be car.There also looks to be some great walks nearby with a nature reserve in walking distance.Jeanett has been very helpful in the sales office and can’t wait to move in.
