Even from the very beginning, they were completely incompetent. Showing up late for the viewing and not know what comes with the flat. They have continued to be utterly useless throughout my stay and I dread to think what will happen when I decide to leave. Communication is poor, service is even worse, and employees seem clueless.Avoid them is my only recommendation.

GoogleIve worked with a lot of Exeter’s Estate Agents and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Martin & Co, they a very on top of maintenance issues and get things sorted very quickly for their tenants, they are also very responsive to emails and call back if busy.

Wouldn’t go with them again. Told me I’d secured a place to rent, sent me the contract without warning me that someone else also had the contract. I went to sign it a few hours later, couldn’t get access, so had to ring, for them to tell me someone else had signed it. Thanks for letting me know.

They never fix our maintenance issues, I've been waiting over a year for them to send someone out for a single problem, I have more luck directly contacting the landlord to fix things. Avoid these jobsworths at all costs, all they care for is money and that you pay rent on time every month

Bournemouth branch now profiteering saying to landlords sign up for 12 months £5.00 a week and will guarantee your rent is paid. Also refusing all inspections or viewings etc. When this tenancy ends if my tenant wants to stay I will drop the rent and use another agent. Never use them again. they are profiteering from a crisis

Very terrible service. Unprofessional and rude agents. I traveled 3 hours just to view their apartments, despite sending me a wrong address they did not take responsibility for it.

Would not recommend. Unprofessional, uninformed and unresponsive.Takes over a week to receive a reply and even then you're passed from one member of staff to the next, with no-one seeming to have any knowledge on how to help with simple requests. Friends have had similar poor experiences. Will avoid using Martin & Co for future properties.

Hi,As with most people I'm not a huge fan of estate agents but Andrew Dear at Martin and Co was brilliant to deal with. we were the buyers so he wasn't employed by us but we found him to be honest, helpful and very efficient throughout the process. GoogleThey won't give you your deposit back without a struggle. It dosent matter whether you leave your house spotless. They will give you a hard time with your deposit. They won't answer the phone sometimes and they will give you lies and fluff basically and not give you your deposit back in the allocated time they promised they would.

Should be a zero score. The westcliff branch dealing with property rental are very unprofessional to landlords. Unless you rent to whoever they say they are not interested. They are only interested in the money and not in providing a comprehensive and supportive service. Much better agents in local area. TOTAL Non listeners avoid big time.

On entry the office was clean and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful with good knowledge of the areas i am interested in. When viewing a property the agents were on time ( bonus) and answered all my queries. From my experience I wouldn't have any hesitation using these guys.also I would recommend on that basis.

We have used Martin & Co York for 6 years and have had nothing but problems since day 1. They are unprofessional and have lost documents, sided with the landlord, unnecessarily charged us, and the communication is the worst I’ve ever experienced. We will be leaving for another agency soon and it’s not a day too soon!
