Graham,Tim and Vicki were first class. They conducted all the viewings and remained in contact throughout the whole process. We cannot recommend Straker highly enough. If you want a top rate agency,you can do no better than place your faith, and home, with Straker.

From minute one where Chris visited our home and provided advice and a valuation right up until completion, dealing with Strakers has been a pleasure. Communication was always good, particularly during our second sale attempt where manager Marianne Owens became directly involved, we cannot praise Marianne enough for her knowledge and expertise, her influence helped us enormously and we will always be grateful for her personal touch, her efforts went beyond in our opinion. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Strakers to anyone needing an agent

We were very pleased initially with your Sue George in spending time with us and for sharing her knowledge of the site with us.However, having sold our property on December 8th 2021 we have been informed almost month by month of additional delays to our build completion date. This now stands at May 27th 2022! We will have been renting for almost 6 months by then and having to pay for storage for 6 months.We are aware of supply and labour problems but it transpires that our purchase, plot 15 Maton Close,was to be the last to be completed which would have been useful to know.I can appreciate that this is out of your control and Ashford Homes have been good on communication and arranging for all ' extras'.We remain very frustratedAndrew and Sally Elliott

Being the first time I’ve sold a house, strakers we’re very helpful, quick to get it on the market and sold before it reached online. Also purchased our new house with them, viewings we’re organised quickly, right through to making an offer. Would have liked a few more updates throughout. Found it hard chasing solicitor and estate agents to get info, between making the offer and getting a move in date (6 months). Felt like a very long process, the solicitor firm recommended by strakers, were hard to work with also hard to get motivated, to finalise all paperwork.

GoogleWe've had a mixed experience of Strakers. We have both rented and bought a property from them in the last couple of years and you never quite know what you're going to get, some have been lovely, really personable and genuine whilst others have been quite rude and standoff-ish. Having read a little about cleaning charges with Strakers, we understand as landlords ourselves that properties need to be vacated in a clean condition but charging us cleaning fees for cleaning behind radiators seemed a bit ridiculous. Whilst we were buying a property with them recently, the agent showing us round didn’t have any more knowledge about the houses than was written on the website. We were looking at old properties at the end of the day so it’s useful to know, how old is the boiler, has it been serviced, have the electrics had any work recently etc. They didn’t have keys for any of the outbuildings and when given questions to ask the sellers, we received no response from them. As much as I would like to say their efficiency made up for some of the personality traits, unfortunately it didn’t and imagine I’d be pretty disappointed if I was the seller leaving them in charge and paying for their services.NegativeQuality

Called Strakers at 11am to say that my property was ready for letting.Photos were taken by 1pm. First viewing at 4pm. Offer accepted by 4.45pm. I don't think a landlord could ask for a better service than that.Thank you Strakers.

This was my first time to bid on a property auction, so I was somewhat apprehensive. I found the process reassuringly straightforward: the Online Auction Buying Guide provided by Strakers is welll written and clear, taking you through the process step by step. In addition, it was very helpful to be able to talk to a member of the Auctions Team, Tori Lancaster-Gaye, who was able to follow up on my queries and provide practical advice, helping to demystify the process in a friendly manner. I gave 4 rather than 5 stars because I found the legal pack very sparce, and had to chase up a few answers as the auction approached.

GoogleStrakers have been managing my rental properties since I moved them over from another property management company about four years ago. I live outside the UK so rely very heavily on the staff of the management company to be my eyes and ears and provide good communication. Recently one of my properties needed a total rehab due to its age, and that included a completely new kitchen in addition to flooring and paint. Nicky Wall oversaw every detail including visiting the property at the weekend. The attention she paid to the contractors and the workmanship was outstanding, it was as if it were her own property that she was managing, and you can't ask for more than that.

The easiest estate agent to deal withWe enquired about a property that had a lot of interest and they were taking no more viewings. Every other estate agent you never hear from again. Matthew called me back and booked a viewing for the following week. We made an offer and was also given the opportunity to increase our offer. We did and we were not successful. Rosemary phoned us when she said she would and worked late to make sure we knew the outcome. She also did a follow up the next day to try and help us in our search. Exceptional service and I have hope they might find us our new home yet🤞

From the initial meeting with Guy Straker, right through to the final completion on the sale of our property, we were very impressed with the attitude of the entire Strakers team, their advice, professionalism and friendly attitude. We never felt under pressure to accept them as our agent, and their very mature, calm approach to solving inevitable problems as the sale progressed helped us immeasurably. They were spot on with the valuation and found the right buyer in very short time. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to other people.
