GoogleAfter renting a property off BBJ for years and being really happy, the property I was renting was then handed to the management of Platinum. It all went down hill from there. I had a small leak which took months to be repaired, no communication from Platinum, had to chase. Leak ended up being really bad and mould growing on it. Washing machine leaked over kitchen floor, rang number, kept getting cut off and directed to VM, was told a leaking washing machine was not an emergency. Ended up fixing myself. Then had the rent increased 3 times in 3 months, attempted to charge me banned fees. I ended up finding a new property to move in to due to how rude Pindi is and the treatment I received. After 5 years of being an exceptional tenant, always paying the rent and keeping the property in outstanding condition, I left my home as there was no way I wanted to be living in a property managed by this company. I wonder if the landlord even knows how they have been treating their tenants. I would opt for no star rating, but to be able to post I have to select at least 1. I would advise - Do not rent from this estate agent.

GoogleReview of Tenant Experience with Platinum Estate Derby and Luxe Apartment Derby:
I regret to say that my experience with Platinum Estate Derby and Luxe Apartment Derby has been disappointing and frustrating. Despite numerous requests, they failed to attend to any of the repairs needed during my tenancy. Furthermore, they neglected to secure my deposit in a deposit protection service and did not return it as agreed upon moving out.
When they did finally address the deposit return, they provided unfair and inaccurate invoices along with misleading pictures. It's clear that they have no intention of returning the deposit fairly, which feels like a dishonest practice.
Specifically, I caution against renting any property from Luxe Apartment Derby, as they have proven themselves to be untrustworthy. Despite paying a premium rent for a furnished apartment, the items provided were subpar, and upon moving out, they nitpicked minor issues such as marks on the dustbin, scratches on furniture, and cleanliness concerns.
Overall, my experience with Platinum Estate Derby and Luxe Apartment Derby has been marked by deception and mistreatment of tenants. I strongly advise against renting from them, as they seem to prioritize cheating tenants over providing a fair and satisfactory rental experience.

TrustpilotVery unprofessional business
Very unprofessional business, very unorganised, not a single negotiator knows how to negotiate, feels like I was speaking to primary school children on their work experience with no market knowledge, experience or even basic knowledge on how to run a transaction. Very rude because multiple times I was put on “hold” and could hear them trying to avoid speaking to me on their phone with an update. Failed to update the chain further ahead and didn’t do their basic due diligence to ensure we were buying on whilst they would only speak with the main vendor, didn’t want to provide adequate and necessary information to our matrimonial solicitors and were avoiding calls like they were allergic to picking up calls. Avoid at all costs to save yourself the mental stress. Surprised they’re still running as a business.

GoogleI’ve had a really positive experience with this agency. From the start, they have been incredibly helpful, professional, and supportive throughout the whole process. Any queries or concerns I’ve had have been responded to very quickly, and the information provided is always clear and thorough, which has made everything much less stressful.
It’s clear that they genuinely care about their tenants and take their responsibilities seriously. The level of communication and efficiency they provide is excellent, and it’s been reassuring to know that I can rely on them when needed.
I would highly recommend this agency to anyone looking for a smooth and well-managed renting experience.

GoogleWe had a week to find and move into a property and we’re so impressed with Platinum Estates speedy service!
The application process was so smooth and easy and the property was cleaned and presented well. The welcome box with wine and chocolates was a lovely touch too.
We’ve been in our property for several months now and any queries and maintenance issues have been attended to promptly. The whole team has been so helpful and friendly, we’re very pleased with PE’s service

GoogleWorst Experience Ever and definitely the worst agency to rent with.
The moment you hear Platinum Estates please save yourself and RUN 🏃🏾♀️!!!!!
I will emphasise the word RUN…..
Each one of the negative reviews on here are all true and there is more so make sure you don’t make the biggest mistake of your life because it will cost you highly and I can assure you that you will regret it!!!!
Imagine an agency accessing your property without your knowledge, unannounced and letting themselves in when you’re not home….
I’m not one to write reviews but if my review can save Someone then I know I have done the right thing.

GoogleThe worst letting agents I’ve seen in my life. Didnt properly clean the house before we moved in, there was mould in the kitchen and bedroom and when we tried to tell them they were very dismissive. They don’t respond to calls or emails or even when we go to their office they don’t respond. Had to get the council involved and still they refused to respond to us. Very rude and unprofessional

Google★☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing Experience, Not Recommended
I booked an apartment with Platinum Estates online from abroad, based on the photos they posted. Unfortunately, when I arrived and collected the keys, the apartment was completely different from what was advertised. The carpets were old, the walls hadn’t been painted, and the toilet was dirty. I took photos of everything and sent them to the management immediately.
I asked them to clean the apartment, replace the carpet, and repaint the walls, but nothing was done. Throughout my tenancy, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. They also always insisted on fixed-term agreements and charged renewal fees every year, which felt unreasonable.
The most disappointing part was when I moved out, they deducted my entire deposit despite the condition of the property when I first moved in and despite the issues I had reported. Overall, I had a very bad experience and felt extremely let down. I would not recommend Platinum Estates based on what I went through.

GoogleNindi Mann and her team at Platinum Estates have set a new standard in estate agency. Understanding our needs better than we did, Nindi found us the perfect solution for our Rent 2 Rent property. She was very supportive and consistent throughout the process, making professional photos and marketing the rooms, she showed the featured flat in its best light. Nindi checked the property herself and gave us useful feedback as she knows what tenants are looking for.
Nindi and her team provide with full support in managing and resolving any issues for the property.
Nindi offered a few more properties for our company and as a result, we are taking over the 2nd property next week. Communication was excellent and she was flexible to ensure both the owner and the managing company are happy.
There are hiccups happening every so often, but honestly without Nindi there to guide and support us I doubt we would have successfully moved at all! Now we’re working on the next property in our HMO and Serviced Accommodation Portfolio and Nindi at Platinum Estates was great in making that happen.

Thank you for taking the time to discuss this further over the phone, we are glad this misunderstanding has been resolved.
We had clarified that the gentleman who was entering the property was the landlord's contractor and it was his particular set of keys that were to be returned in order for us to access. We had contacted all attendee's earlier that morning and left voicemail messages to confirm the appointment was cancelled and to be rescheduled.
We make all enquiries aware of the option to place a holding deposit on a property without a physical viewing.

Googlead a very disappointing experience with Platinum Estates. I attended a scheduled viewing, but no one showed up, and I was not informed of any cancellation.I tried contacting the agency at the time but received no response, which made the situation even more frustrating.
Overall, the lack of communication and organisation felt very unprofessional. I hope they improve their customer service in the future.

GoogleDue to employment changes, I’ve had to relocate to Derby and Platinum Estates have been brilliant throughout the whole process!
They are much more helpful than most other agents I’ve dealt with and my move was easy and stress-free. My new home was thoroughly cleaned and the garden was tidy and maintained when I moved in. A perfect new start for me! 👍

GoogleVery unprofessional, they lied to us about our deposit after we left the house, they kept giving flimsy excuses. They stopped responding to our calls and mails at some point. Not until after 3weeks before the paid us and they made sure we didn't get all our deposit back cos they said we did some decorations in the room and these are things we complained about when we moved into the house but they did nothing about it.

GoogleI have two properties in the The Park (Nottingham) and I required a new agent to take over the management so I contacted Platinum Estates. They arranged a rental valuation on both properties within 3 days and immediately listed the property on the market. Both properties have successfully been let to professional tenants who are taking great care of their new homes. I have referred a few people I know that also have portfolios in Nottingham to Platinum Estates and would highly recommend to all.

GoogleNot to be trusted. I'd give zero stars if it were an option, The positive reviews reflect that some people have had a good experience, but I can only speak to the facts of my own experience. They flatly lied to me on a few occasions (usually when relating to cash (or getting hold of it faster)) resulting in more than one embarrassing (for them) "climb down" call (in the pm telling me that the work I'd asked done actually hadn't been done at all like they'd told me in the am, same day). They let me use my own fuel to throw out the previous tenants "leftovers" then stiffed me on my deposit when I left. Tried to increase my rental payment WEEKS AFTER I'd agreed to extend, then tried to back down when I told them I was moving out. To be avoided like the proverbial plague.
Genuinely impressive! I got a reply in only a month! shame Platinum Estates were rarely that quick when I was a tenant paying £100s for the privilege, I could recite so many more instances, but don't want to bore Googles customers...NegativeQuality

GoogleAvoid at all costs. My son's flat was filthy, items on the inventory were missing, may items in the flat were broken, the customer service is shocking as they constantly lie to you! The oven did not work, they said he didn't need it as he had a hob. The window would not close, they said the previous tenant lived with it and so it was fine. They also said as it was a third floor flat it could not be repaired. The flat is on the first floor and they told me I was wrong! Apparently six weeks was not long enough for their 'professional cleaners' do to a thorough clean. The flat was filthy from top to bottom and yet it had passed their inventory inspection. I could go on to as we have a huge list, including a sofa with 3 legs, a coffee table with 1 leg, blinds that were stated on the listing as 'grey' which where actually white once cleaned...I am not going to give this company anymore of my time or energy. They are utterly incompetent and do not care about their tenants!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleFrom the moment we moved in to the flat in Nottingham, to the moment we left trying to get our deposit back, Platinum Estates has been unprofessional, slow in resolving matters and uncooperative. I would avoid leasing through this company unless you want more stress added to your life. I am glad I have moved out of the Nottingham area so that I never have to deal with them again.
FYI, they put you on an assured tenancy so that they don't have to protect your deposit and will try to deduct as much as they can. Make sure you take pictures and note the condition of the property when moving in and moving out so that you have evidence to rebut their claims - we did this and after almost a month of moving out, we finally got our full deposit back,NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleIf I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT be a tenant under platinum estates. You would get better communication from a goat. They will change their bank account details and not tell you, then try to charge you a fee when your payment does not go through. Their response to emergencies is not quick - left me with water gushing out of the pipes , very slow to fix broken boiler in middle of winter. They will not return your deposit, but won't tell you this - when you enquire about it they make up costs of things that needed fixing with no invoices . They are very shady. They really do not care about the property they are renting to you. Be warned

TrustpilotAvoid renting from platinum estates
Avoid renting from platinum estates. Their communication is almost non-existent. They do not respond to emergencies in a timely manner, they really do not care about the properties at all. They will change their bank account and not tell you, then charge you a fee when the payment does not go through. They will write with less than 4 weeks notice that the rent is going up immediately- high rent increases too. They will fabricate work that needed to be done so you don't get your deposit back. They have zero interpersonal skills. I truly cannot believe people leave this estate agent in care of their properties. DO NOT rent from platinum estates. DO NOT allow them to be agents for your property. As a previous tenant I can assure you they do not respond to emergencies eg broken pipes, flooding, broken boilers like they should. They are very shady. I cannot believe they can run a business. I suspect they pass it from family member to family member and that is why the bank account changes so often. Be warned.
