TrustpilotAbsolutely avoid buying a home with lovell
Absolutely avoid buying a home with these shocking ...I purchased a new build (first time buyer) and was told I would be able to see the house and several stages of building to check everything was ok etc I only got to see it once and was fobbed off with excuses of why we couldn’t see it. We have had several problems with our home and customer services are useless and rude. We ring them to report a problem they say they will get back and they never do. The garden is a joke there are different fence panels on the one side to the other so the garden looks like an eye sore. The grass was dead and yellow/brown when we moved in but was told it was fine. Our heating doesn’t work but apparently it’s our fault even though it’s been broke since we moved in and they refuse to help us fix it. The back door wouldn’t lock properly for months and we was ringing and you can see where they have screwed things in wonky. Several cupboard doors have had door handles come off or hinges break (we have lived here la year). We had bad water pressure when we moved in had several people come and tell us it was ok. We had someone else come in not from Lovell they said it was a joke and sorted it. I could continue but I’d be writing for another 10mins. Avoid avoid avoid

Please do not purchase! Our new home does not look new! We have had countless leaks in different locations, mould coming through ceilings!The finishings are poor!Refusing to fix paid upgrades!Refusing to carry out work that was given by directors!This is just a few of the issues I could go on and on!If this was dealt with in the correct and appropriate manner I would not have left this review but here we are a year and a half later…….Prepare to use your annual holidays sitting in waiting on trades men who actually make the issue a bigger problem and damage your property/house items.

Just initially brought a Lovell bungalow subject to contract , fantastic build and finishes etc , Site rep doing a fantastic job ! only gripe is they have put Radiators in bedrooms not in the usual place under windows , instead on other walls , reducing space for wardrobes , drawers etc ,almost impossible to now plan ! otherwise would have given tops marks for everything !

I bought a 2 year old Lovell home last April, it is a nicely appointed house with quality appliances, bathroom fittings and well designed and head effecient. I would imagine the property has been snagged by the previous owners however, over the last few months we have uncovered so many hidden snags. The bathroom extractor in the ensuite was incorrectly installed resulting in a wet ceiling. Sink plug levers back to front, two screws instead of 4 in several installations. window vents incorrectly installed. It's a shame that our experience of what is a lovely home has been marred by lazy workmen failing to complete jobs to the correct standard. I still love my home, I'm lucky that my husband is handy and able tI put these things right.

TrustpilotOver 2 years and still not resolved
We have waited over 2 years for a rendering issue to be resolved , Lovells appear to have no control over their sub contractors, Customer care appear to fudge the issues in the hope that the homeowners will give up on snagging issues .Our rendering issue was caused solely by the subcontractor and is still unresolved.I would never again buy from a large developer.

Since buying my Lovell home in November 2022 I have had 11 leaks. I have had nothing but issues and they often want to put a plaster on issues rather than actually doing a proper repair. Lovell’s customer care and tradesmen also do not work after 4pm so you will often need to take time off work or ask family when any repairs or visits take place and they are not willing to make any repairs at the weekend or after working hours.

Following an unsurprisingly easy house purchase, we have had issues getting snagging issues completed within an appropriate time. Understandably some issues are not urgent but lack of heating/hot water/water ingress due to lack of DPC are quite urgent. Lovell however seem to have little interest in after sales Customer support. Not the service of a 5 star house builder . This is an issue across the development, not just our experience.
