From the moment we knew we needed an estate agent to help us sell our recently deceased mums property, there was never any doubt we had chosen the right local estate agents in Sleigh & Sons, Denton. Everything was explained to us clearly from how Sleigh and Sons would market the property, through to marketing the property, arranging viewings and helping to achieve the best possible price…..with no surprise costs at the end….Julie and Adele are amazing ladies who regularly went over and above to provide a first class service to us…..i can personally highly recommend Sleigh & Sons Denton to anyone thinking of selling a property no matter what the circumstances are around the sale. The care, compassion and professionalism throughout was second to none and we as a family cannot thank them enough.

When I had to put my dad's house on the market we were advised to get four valuations. Two of these ended up as hour- long PowerPoint presentations but Kate from Sleigh & Son impressed with her thorough but concise 20 minutes. We went with them and the team has been informative and supportive throughout. Not everything went smoothly - our first potential buyer wanted to take the floorboards up for a damp inspection and wanted a waiver for any damage caused. Kate wasn’t having this but gave us the choice. We chose not to. But this process took many months and the buyer pulled at the last minute. Kate had the house on the market again that afternoon and was arranging viewings for the following week. We always felt we could trust her and the team. The house was unoccupied for many months as the market cooled off and they took care of it, informing us of problems such as a minor water leak and getting it fixed. When it came time to finally sell, Kate was able to arrange a person to do the house clearance. Indeed, the team's local contacts proved helpful on several occasions. They've been very quick to respond to emails and phonecalls and they've made a difficult process as easy as possible. Very professional and reliable!

We recently sold our parents property and, from day one when we met Kate from Sleigh and Son at the property, we had full faith in her. She was totally on the ball..knew her market and what the property was worth..which, was far more than we had anticipated!! She is bubbly,confident and assured..and, she was spot on with her valuation as, the house did indeed sell for the valuation she gave..proving , just how good she is at her job.! Even during lockdown Kate was always available during her working hours and, out of them and ,nothing was ever a bother to her and she kept us informed at all times during these strange circumstances. From the very first minute of meeting Kate for the valuation appointment, I felt at ease with Sleigh & Sons. I had already had 2 previous valuations that day which were much lower than Kate's valuation, and I got the feeling that the other estate agents were after a quick sale. Kate assured me that the property had been highly undervalued, and gave me her valuation which we stuck with. Within 4 days the property had 5 viewings and an offer had been accepted. All the way through the sales process Kate and team kept in constant contact and kept me update throughout the whole time. Horrible experience with this law firm. It all started off good and well when they sent the instructions out to act on my behalf the very next day, I thought wow these guys are good as I wanted to complete quickly on the property. Unfortunately it went down hill very quickly from there. The conveyancer Zara Morgan was dealing with my case she is impossible to get hold of as she is either working from home and only respond to emails, which she never does or when she’s in the office she is just too busy to answer your call. Requesting simple information such as login in details for an app they use to verify details took over two weeks to obtain. The seller and their solicitors are also struggling to get any information from the firm. I asked for basic information such as estimated date for when searches will be completed and rough timeline of events to get told sorry “Zara will not speak to you she is busy”. Why take on work if you cannot provide the service!

I have recently been going through the process of buying a house, and would avoid this place for a number of reasons. They will bombard you with repeated phone calls, one after another during weekday working hours, despite knowing that you are in full time employment and unavailable to take calls. No sooner has the phone finished ringing out before they begin calling again. They also requested of me a particular document that as it turns out, nobody provides these days (I was informed of this by several solicitors specialising in conveyancing). This shows a clear lack of knowledge on their part, and outdated conveyancing methods. Finally, after having to pull out of a deal, which I am fully entitled to do, one of the members of staff was extremely rude and patronising towards me over the phone which I didn't appreciate at all. She was clearly annoyed with me and unable to remain professional, repeatedly asking me why I didn't inform them of this weeks ago (despite me since then receiving information that affected the integrity of the sale). I have since dealt with other estate agents who have been far more courteous and pleasent. I do not recommend this company at all.
