We have investigated the circumstances surrounding your review. Whilst we have no record of dealing with you specifically as a customer, given how quickly it appeared following another damaging review, we believe it relates to a property Jackson Grundy Lettings were advertising on behalf of a landlord on a 'Let Only' basis. As is the case with most properties in the current market, there was significant interest and multiple interested applicants. Unfortunately this means that only one application will be successful and all other parties will be disappointed. We would much rather this not be the case, however we are not able to control supply and demand of property to the market. We sympathise that on this occasion you are disappointed, but we feel that leaving the company a 1 star review due to circumstances outside of its staff's control is unfair and unwarranted. We kindly ask you in the first instance to remove this unwarranted review due to its damaging content. Should you be unprepared to remove the review then we will be forced to take legal advice from our solicitors in relation to Defamation of our company and our staff. We reserve the right to not revert back to you again on the matter ahead of taking further action. For your reference we would like to draw your attention to the recent High Court case of 'Summerfield Browne v Waymouth'.

GoogleVery disappointing experience. During the viewing I was told that 30 days notice period would be taken into consideration and won’t be an issue. A week after , upon completing the application it was no longer acceptable and not even considered for a 3 weeks period. Shame as another property was turned down due to this misleading information. We are very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. As such we have investigated the basis of this review.
I'm afraid our staff in branch have a different interpretation of events. It is not our practice to agree to a period of 30 days prior to occupation, it would not be in the best interest of our landlords. The member of staff who conducted the viewing has stated that she pointed out there would need to be some period of overlap. We have seen email correspondence in which we highlighted this prior to us accepting any payment, and in which our staff offered a two week period of grace. Our staff also stated that if the property was still available at the time you wished to take it then we could proceed at that point.
We understand your disappointment at not being able to secure a property you liked on your preferred timescale, but we feel confident our staff acted in good faith at all times. Best regards, Jackson Grundy

Sellers, please avoid.Sadly I had no choice but to work with this agency, because the home I loved was listed with Jackson Grundy Daventry. My only advice to sellers is beware of using these estate agents. From the first viewing to the final communications with the team, it was shambles and incompetence, arrogance and people who could not be bothered to help in anyway. They are quick to pass responsibility, and once I exchanged - they were suddenly too busy to conduct a viewing I desperately needed. I have read the negative reviews here, and my experience was not far off from what others have said. I am still trying to get them to provide door keys to the property, and despite hearing of their disorganised key system, they still passed me back to the solicitors to resolve this legally. I am glad my experience with them is finally over and I deeply hope that I will never have any reason to use them again.PS: I am thankful for the people that had a positive encounter with staff, but they are the minority as the reviews tell you. Don't take the chance, find another agent to use if you can.

Rental side of estate agents are awful. We had a bad experience. Tried to get us on everything when we moved out, even though we left house cleaner than we got it. Unhelpful, unfriendly staff. Also left paying for rent for a house with multiple leaks and water was turned off to prevent damage so we couldn’t move back in! And landlord and estate agents couldn’t care less, never got fixed. Also got stung on garden charges as I’ve seen others have, they took photos of weeds under hedges zoomed in!!! Never use them for rentals however the team for sales are great!
