As an agent myself, naturally I am very observant of any estate agents I use to facilitate my own personal endeavours. Despite my critical eye, I genuinely cannot think of a single issue/problem that arose with our home purchase facilitated via The Coastal House. I dealt primarily with Yvonne and Katie and I think it is so important to acknowledge how professional yet personable and friendly they both were. They were great throughout the negotiating process and once our offer was accepted, they did everything they could the ensure that the sales went through in a timely manner (2 weeks from offer to exchange - super impressive). The service that The Coastal House give is in our opinion nothing short of exceptional. This is the second home that we have sold through Julie and her team, and there was no question that this was the agency to choose for our recent sale. In an exceptionally difficult housing market, Coastal explored every opportunity in order to maximise viewings and to create interest with potential buyers. We had regular catch ups and adapted the marketing strategy accordingly, in order to ensure the desired result. Even when the market appeared to be completely flatlining; in Julie’s words: “we will not give up”. And they did not. From ongoing social media posts, to features in property magazines, and exposure at the Southampton Boat Show, endless opportunities were explored to reach the ideal clients. Estate agency fees are an expensive % of selling your home, and we have sold our home knowing that this agent worked hard to achieve this.

Sarah and Katie were superb at selling our house, from filling the empty house with virtual furniture , compiling a fantastic brochure of the property, regular updates and the big push to get the exchange of contracts over the line . The market was tough but you would not have known it, the place had a firm offer within 2 weeks going on the market with the street app showing us the updates through to settling on an even better offer than we were expecting. Estate agents doesn’t really cover what this team do, it’s way more than that, thank you Guys!

The Coastal House Estate Agents were professional and great to work with. We were selling our apartment when market conditions were tough, with many properties going on to the market and fewer buyers. We felt it was important to choose a local estate agent with good knowledge of the local area. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice, with excellent marketing of our property and attention to detail in the brochure and with the professional photography. They were easy to communicate with, always answering the phone or getting straight back to us if we had a query. They arranged and carried out all the viewings and kept us informed with detailed feedback. Once we had an offer they worked well with the solicitors to progress the sale so we didn’t have to follow up on anything. They took all the hassle out of selling our property so we would highly recommend!

Buying a house can be quite stressful (and unpredictable), but we can honestly say the team at The Coastal House (and in particular a special mention must go to Kelly) were helpful, supportive, friendly and professional during our recent purchase. We viewed several properties in and around Dartmouth and the surrounding areas, with a few different estate agents, not all of which were positive experiences. In fact one of the other agents in Dartmouth were incredibly unprofessional and fairly loose with the truth. Our experience with Coastal House was fantastic from start to finish. They made special arrangements so that we could go back for a second viewing at the time we needed; they gave us access to view the property on several occasions before the final purchase in order to make plans for refurbishment etc; they monitored both solicitors and helped move things forward; and they communicated between all parties really promptly. The Coastal House were a pleasure to deal with when I was looking for a new home in Dartmouth. Being very new to the area they were very helpful in helping me understand what I needed and were supportive and never pushey towards any particular property. They went out of their way to allow me to view properties at short notice as I had a limited time to complete my search and this made all the difference. Both the Dartmouth and the Kingswear office are brilliant at following up, making recommendations and ultimately assisting with the purchase process. I rather ambitiously aimed to complete before April back in early January and this has happened due to their relationship with the recommended solicitors and their willingness to chase and communicate between parties effectively.
