GoogleFrances assisted with an extremely protracted sale, due mainly to a poor conveyancer. At times, I know both I and the buyer felt like giving up and it was Frances who kept everything progressing. When you are trying to make a move, it is always good to have someone experienced and calm to steer the way.

Informed us that the property we were moving out of had been re-let. We then rushed to clear and deep clean the property. Rang several times on the day with no answer to then be told any day before Thursday would be ok. We were then informed by another call 10 minutes later that the property had infact not been re-let. Severe lack of communication therefore making us pay another month rent & bills.

My partner and I were first-time buyers and engaged with Gascoigne a few months ago.I don't know if it was because we were first timers, or if it was just the influence of a poor seller, but we were gazumped and the total lack of professionalism and a pure run around followed. Their team there have left a bitter taste in my mouth and given me a poor view of them.If you're first-time buyers I cannot recommend engaging with the Glossop branch at the very least least.Buying with a nearby competitor we found the experience was far better, with more updates, better information, and an increased amount of respect.

We recently sold and bought a house using the Frodsham office. We met with 3 local estate agents before deciding who to use and we chose Gascgoine Halman Frodsham as they had the most local knowledge and were the easiest branch to get in touch with.As is often the case, the whole house move process was quite lengthy and frustrating. But Tracy in particular helped us out with advice, chasing up solicitors and helping to keep on top of the process. I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon, but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.

To be fair to the Wilmslow office they did everything they said they would do. From an initial market appraisal through to completion the system worked excellently. Peter Higham took on our instruction and was spot on with his advice , James Poppock then ran our sale and was in touch throughout and was polite and efficient and upto speed throughout. The team were all aware with what was going on and and communication was excellent. All sounds a bit cheesy ,but its true. Thank you .

Excellent process with Gascoignes, from initial meet with Markus, market appraisal right down to the wire.Market knowledge and valuation was spot on. Photography clear, perfect contrast and house write up excellent and accurate. Brilliantly managed by Lucy Kershaw throughout with very timely comms and updates. We felt she managed potential buyers very well and helped maintain the integrity of the chain as it developed. Viewings all managed professionally and consistently too. Viewing requests started coming in within an hour or so of being released online. Offers started a few days after viewings and final offer just over a week later. Just excellent team all round! Thank you all.

Extremely poor customer service. No communication and appear to also be quite judgmental towards single parents. I am still waiting for them to call me back but regardless of weather they do or not, i definitely won’t be letting a property through them.

Wilmslow branch: very unprofessional, ignoring duty of care to renters. Ignored multiple requests to return the rental deposit after moving out, ignored multiple phone calls or came back with limp excuses for delays in responding.

Told the woman named Susan that I would be a student working in my holidays off uni whilst getting a mortgage. Been lead on to sign a lifetime fee of 600 pound to use there advice for the next 6 month for unlimited advice. Now being told she didn't know I was a student when I have clear evidence on my side I told her. Lawsuit imenent. This firm will lie to get money Out of you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, GO EPSEWHERE.

Everyone tells you how stressful house moving is but for me Gascoigns in Poynton completely took control of then situation for me and totally took the stress out for me! I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’ve bought and sold with lots of different agents over the years and Gascoigns in Poynton are the only agents I’d recommend on and use again. My house move journey has by no means been straight forward either but Jo Owen Nicole and Alison completely took control of the situation for me and even supported me with my onward purchase through a different agent. Jo even contacted me on her days off to support me through the process so it’s no surprise she’s created such a winning team!

I would be very wary of letting these guys manage the rental of anything! Purchased a property via gascoigne and Halman, that has previously been tenanted (managed by gascoigne and halman), and it’s been a horrible experience. When we viewed the property it was filthy, so offered full asking on the agreement it be professionally cleaned. When we moved in, not only was it still dirty but we quickly discovered it had a serious flea infestation! When I flagged the flea issue to the chapel offIce they were helpful and did try to arrange pest control, but it was ineffective and 8 weeks on we still Have issues- the pest control guy thought the issue must have been untreated for many many months as the infestation was so bad! I don’t know what kind of checks they do on tenants, or how regularly they inspect their properties, but allowing a lovely new house to become absolutely infested under their management absolutely amazes me. Be very wary if you are considering them as rental agents.

We put our house on the market in July 2018 with G&H, Wilmslow. We sold it within 3 weeks to the ideal buyer: a cash buyer living in rented accomodation in the same village. So the house was marked sold and we had no further viewers.Things then went very slowly; we thought the purchaser's solicitor was awful at his job. However by October we were still no closer to exchanging contracts and finally discovered that our ideal cash buyer in fact DID NOT HAVE THE FUNDS to purchase. So we wasted a perfect summer for selling a house and did not manage to find another buyer (through another Estate Agent) until Jan 2019.As far as I'm concerned this is entirely G&H's fault; they should have made sure that the cash buyer did indeed have the funds and got written proof. Otherwise what am I paying them for?My advice to anyone else selling a house is if you are told they are a cash buyer, make absolutely certain that they have the money and get written proof.
