GoogleHighly professional with agents making you feel you are getting indivudual service. Sara Evans managed, along with the team, a problematic sale with great efficiency and superb communication. The property was left to two daughters who both live outside the UK by their mother who lived within the UK and was always considered 'home' by her daughters. Unique house purpose built for the owner's needs with great charm. Difficulty with removing trespasssers handled professionally and with due civility by Sara who headed the team, whose communications were excellent. Understood the situation with 2 non UK residents but both citizens, one in Australia so even a full time zone away! Always made to feel we were in partnership rather than just clients. Regular reports as to viewings, feedback, important statistcs as to comparisons and work put in and initiated by W&M and all infomation needed. Would highly recommend this company, which had been recommended to us by neighbours in the UK and others. They did not let us down. Thanks so much Sara Evans, Toby Basset and all those at Walter & Mair for steering us through a difficult and sad time. Made all the difference. Jane Schou-Clarke

GoogleVery impressed with the service provided by Toby, Sara and the team. They gave honest straightforward advice when we approached them about selling our house, and kept us fully informed throughout the sale process liaising with all the buyers and solicitors in the chain when necessary. Everything was dealt with efficiently and without fuss. We had previously purchased a house where they were the selling agents so had high expectations which they exceeded on our sale!

GoogleBrilliant estate agents , navigated me through some very challenging times acting as agents in my house sale They went above and beyond and hosted open days taking care of all the viewings Sara Evans was brilliant as she got to know me and my home and was able to point out its attributes to prospective buyers ,she and the team at Walter Mair were always easy to get hold of and were great at communicating throughout the process - I would highly recommend using them as they definitely helped achieve a better than expected selling price and their fees were not only competitive but well worth it I am now settled and very happy in what I hope is my forever home and Walter Mair were hugely instrumental in getting me to where I am Special Thanks to Sara , Toby ,Tina ,Dominic and all the other lovely Team members at Walter Mair I will always be grateful for all you did for me

GoogleWe bought a house through this agency last year. It all went fine until Toby Bassett, the director of the company, decided he would "take the lead on this one". Toby was consistently a misery to deal with. He was aggressive in his emails, had an arrogant and belligerent attitude, and was generally unpleasant. Toby may be good at strong arming and harrassing buyers into paying a bit extra for properties, as he attempted to do with us, but he burns bridges in the process. We will be certain to avoid this company at all costs when we come to sell.
Dear 'Flight Computer', as you have elected to withhold your identity, it is very difficult for me to respond specifically. My temperament and personality are unrecognisable from the person you describe. That being said, if you were a buyer who by their actions were jeopardising or disadvantaging my clients sale and/or their onward purchase, I could well have handled the matter in a robust and forthright manner in order to defend their position. I always act for my clients in the sale of their property so your experience is probably the reason why you should in fact sell through me when the time comes. You obviously feel aggrieved and this would never be the way I would wish to leave it so I am very happy to discuss this should you wish to do so.

GoogleWalter & Mair were fantastic and we are so glad we chose them for our house sale. They were friendly, positive, attentive, honest and such a great support through the whole process, even when our first sale fell through due to no fault of their own. Sara and Dominic were great to work with and proactive until completion. We had considered in the beginning going with a cheaper, non-traditional estate agent, but selected the traditional route through Walter & Mair and are so glad we did. They were worth every penny.
