Have not had a good time under them as tenants. We have just moved out of our property let by them and it has been a nightmare. As soon as you sign the tenancy agreement, they don’t care.Once we notified that we were not renewing our contract and they put it back on the market, they would constantly try to arrange viewings a couple of hours before, despite us saying that we need 24 hour notice.The biggest thing however is our deposit. Our landlord authorised release of our deposit two weeks ago, we have emailed and called multiple times with no one answering where it is. We finally managed to get through today to a quite rude woman who said there was no record of this but looking back, she didn’t even ask for any further details or our address.Really disappointed and still awaiting our deposit.

I came across Stirling Ackroyd with the hope of finding a property to let. Within hours of inquiring, William along with Ali made it possible. They were both very efficient and very accommodating all throughout the process. My application went very smoothly thanks to their superb skills. When we started with Stirling Ackroyd, they were called Townends.After meeting us on a few viewings, Alpha phoned me to let me know of a property about to return to market. He really knew what was important to us after collecting feedback from previous viewings and he knew we'd like this property. Our schedules were difficult to align with the sellers, but he was persistent and managed to get us in to view before anyone else. We're picking up the keys to that house today!Alpha and his team helped to make the very stressful process of buying a house as easy as he could for us. He was accommodating, understanding, and communicated very well and promptly all along the way. His handover to sales progressions was seamless. From that point, Sophie took on a lot of responsibility, especially when the sellers solicitor stopped responding to all communication from every side. She helped to keep communication moving between ourselves and the sellers. We exchanged from about 11 weeks of our offer being accepted and completed 3 weeks later (due to the Christmas holidays). I would use them again.

Would give them zero stars if that was an option but need to tick at least 1 star to register a review. Appalling service & shocking treatment of customers. Really poor internal processes which they then make their customers problem. Zero accountability for their own internal errors. While they're after small amounts of money in the short term, (multiple small amounts add up to them), it will come to bite them eventually as folks will write honest reviews like this - reading reviews, sounds like I'm not the only disgruntled customer, doesn't surprise me. Shame they don't understand the saying "what goes around comes around"

I had a lady called Jessica Wright ( surveyor) to inspect the property, to be honest it was such a awesome experience for a change , why , to actually meet someone who was extremely professional in every mannerism, very polite and talkative so it made myself feel at ease , it was such a lovely experience because Jessica was actually talking about her job and also about the town , Jessica looked really happy and extremely content doing her job , what was also nice to hear that Jessica was talking about the company itself so it also gave me great insight how professional the company is , T’s crossed I’s dotted , Jessica had a excellent Personal attitude, she listened to all questions and feedback with no hesitation, Another Brilliant point which I would like to mention: because of these extremely uncertain times regarding COVID, we all need to do our part , unfortunately a lot of peoples are becoming complacent, Jessica could certainly do the catwalk for PPE , wearing the mask correctly covering nose and mouth , excellent choice of mask because it didn’t muffled her voice , plus she was wearing gloves at all times ,Just like to say well done to Jessica because the way she conducted herself in such a professional way , which I have always said over the years regarding different industries, each individual represents the company who they work for and each individual can make a company stand out from the rest and put them a head of the game , so we’ll done Stirling Ackroyd keep your standards high and look after staff and they will bring great rewards to the company, remember no ( i ) in team , it’s i and you that makes the TEAM, so that needs to be always implemented from the TOP to keep successful, Excellent Kind regards Mr S porter Atlas mill Bolton

Very focussed and dynamic agency. They contacted me and said they could rent my one bedroom flat in Covent Garden quickly. They delivered within a week: first a short let to keep up the cash flow (I was reluctant to do so, but Henry went out of his way to help with purchases), immediately followed by a long let. Impeccable.

Used the survey to purchase a property recently and they simply did not do their job. The house was full of damp and mould, the interior walls were rendered instead of plastered and the surveyor stated he did not see any of this. I have had 4 damp experts all telling me to chase up this problem with the surveyor as it should have been spotted. They have been completely unhelpful and do not participate in any responsibility. I do not believe they even viewed the house to survey it. 100% do not recommend.

Stirling Ackroyd lives up to its claims as an experienced, professional company with a knowledgeable and dedicated staff. In all my dealings with members of their Lettings team I have found them to be prompt, reliable, polite and friendly. I would especially like to acknowledge Clive Martin who has been the point of contact as my Property Manager since 2012. As I live overseas, it is particularly important that I have someone that I can rely on and trust to have my best interests at heart. Over the past nine years, Clive’s ongoing assistance and support has been invaluable. Clive always deals with any queries or concerns promptly and he efficiently resolves any problems that may occur. I am also kept fully informed of any procedures or actions that need to be undertaken, which is reassuring and very much appreciated. Big shout out to Clair and Jordan regarding the sale of my property, at times I felt I was going to have a nervouse breakdown, and the solictors drove me up the wall they was so slow. If it wasnt for the help I got from Claire and Jordan I would've pulled out, any anxiety I had they was at the end of the phone carming me down. Sophie who dealt with sales progression was also a great help. if I was ever going to sell my new house I'd let Claire and Jordan handle it for me 100%

I was contacted by Heidi in head office, Heidi offered me a valuation and shared with me factual statics. I was so grateful for Heidi’s advice. Before Heidi called I had not planned to sell my property. I have since achieved a great value for the sale of my flat and bought the perfect house. Heidi put me in contact with a mortgage advisor and Solictor. The team in Sunbury were efficient and confident. I was assigned Sophie to maintain the conveyancing all the way through to completion. My house hunt in Croydon is proving extremely challenging, due to high demand and limited budget. Darren has been absolutely brilliant, and is going above and beyond to help me find the right home for our family. He understands what we are looking for, and is always honest and upfront about the area and upsides and downsides of various properties. Croydon is new to me, so he has been invaluable at giving me advice on various areas that would suit us more than others. And most importantly, Darren doesn't do any of the 'hard sell' that estate agents have a rep for. He is straightforward and honest and out of all the estate agents I have been using, he is the one I trust implicitly to find us our new home.

Stirling Ackroyd are a very professional and friendly letting agent and property management company. In particular, Clive Martin is very responsive and quick to resolve any issues that may occur. He is a reliable communicator between us as tenants and our landlord. Also their network of trusted installers/suppliers to carry out necessary work is highly commended.
