GoogleDuring our sale, we received a first class service from James estate agents. The team were very professional and very patient during an unexpected difficult health issue. It meant we had to stop our house sale and resume almost a year later. The team were patient and very kind throughout this time. Ultimately, they found ideal buyers and our sale progressed smoothly to completion. Highly recommended estate agents and very different to other local agents. Our solicitor was also impressed!

James estates agents think it is acceptable to open other peoples mail and scan it into their devices and then email it across!? HOW DARE YOU OPEN MAIL NOT ADDRESSED TO YOU? It is a illegal offence!!!! Taken from google; Postal services Act 2000 )A person commits an offence if, without reasonable excuse, he, (a)intentionally delays or opens a postal packet in the course of its transmission by post, or (b)intentionally opens a mail-bag. (2)Subsections (2) to (5) of section 83 apply to subsection (1) above as they apply to subsection (1) of that section. (3)A person commits an offence if, intending to act to a person’s detriment and without reasonable excuse, he opens a postal packet which he knows or reasonably suspects has been incorrectly delivered to him. (4)Subsections (2) and (3) of section 83 (so far as they relate to the opening of postal packets) apply to subsection (3) above as they apply to subsection (1) of that section. (5)A person who commits an offence under subsection (1) or (3) shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both. Always great to receive a google review and as you can see for yourself, we have had some brilliant feedback recently. So it is always disappointing when we receive one where our service has not met expectations. As a Lettings and Managing Agent our number one priority is to look after our clients interest and provide managed services that protect and look after their property, as this is what they pay us to do. We will always operate in a fair and transparent way for both our Landlords and our Tenants. Our tenants also have obligations to run their tenancy in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in their Tenancy Agreement. All reasonable steps are taken to ensure that they do just that, whether this be at commencement of tenancy, during the tenancy or when the tenancy comes to an end. When such tenants do not live by those rules we act and this can cause friction, annoyance and on occasion cause them to make claims that are unfounded and we will refute any accusations that are not accurate or reasonable. We hope the many glowing reviews that we have had recently, paint the true picture of just how good we are. Constructive comments are always welcome and we would take any criticism seriously. Holding our hands up if something along the way has not gone as planned. Discrimination of any form does not take place at James with any property transaction and we will continue to strive to provide all our clients with the very best customer experience that we can. Our Managing Director is always available to discuss personally any issues or concerns that clients might have.

GoogleIt is difficult to rate an estate agent because there are so many variables when it comes to buying or renting a property, variables often outside the estate agents control. I would say that James did a great job at the beginning of our journey purchasing a property. They were knowledgable, answered all our questions. If they didn't know the answers, they would seek them out. They were also quite prompt when dealing with the early stages of the sale, such as sending letters and filling out forms. During the middle of the process, there wasn't much communication regarding the sale. We continuously had to ask them for updates. There may not have been anything worthwhile to tell us but we preferred to be kept in the loop rather than left in the dark. Final stage of the sale happened very fast! We managed to get the moving in date we wanted, thanks in part to the estate agent. On our moving day, they gave us a bottle of wine and a card, which was a lovely gesture. Overall I think James Estate Agents is a very good company and we are pleased with their service and the property we purchased.

GoogleThanks to James Estate Agents prior knowledge, we had a cash buyer on board even before the property went on the market. The whole process progressed swiftly and effortlessly from receiving an offer on the 9th October 2024 to completion on 16th December 2024. We were kept up to date with the status throughout the sale and couldn't be more satisfied with the assistance that we received from the team at James.

Despite unfavourable market conditions and probate delay, the bungalow was purchased by local first time buyers, which would also have pleased Mum. GoogleI would recommend James Estate Agents to anyone, and the crazy thing is they were not even officially our estate agents. We ended up buying a flat which was being sold through a certain -online-only- estate agents, who were completely absent throughout the entire process. We may have received ONE email from them near the beginning of the process, letting us know they were our agent. The sale itself ended up dragging for 6 months while ours, our seller's and the Leasehold landlord's solicitors negotiated the legal details surrounding the Leasehold, during which the online agent did nothing to help or advise us. But Catherine from James Estate Agents, who was actually the agent for our seller's purchase, stepped in to keep us informed and updated, acting as a crucial mediator between the various parties. The sale has now finally completed, and we are very happy starting to make our home in our new place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend James.
