Mayfair Town & Country have been our letting agents since 2011 when we brought our small terraced house to let. Jennie Wheatley has been our lettings manager for 4 years now and I highly recommend her services - very efficient and highly knowledgeable, particularly in landlord and tenancy law. There is never a problem or query that Jennie doesn't have time for in her busy day and if she doesn't have the answer to hand then she quickly finds out. The team at the Crewkerne office of Mayfair Town and Country were all superb professionals. They sold our bungalow three times as the first two sales fell through due to buyers pulling out. The team immediately refreshed the photos, readvertised and worked very hard to secure a final sale to people who did proceed to complete the purchase. At no time did the team complain about the additional work and they supported us through the whole process helping and advising with friendly knowledgeable and timely advice. We would highly recommend this office team for an efficient friendly and professional sale or purchase.

Mayfair have been polite, professional and friendly through the whole process. They have been patient with our questions, responding in a timely manner and it has been a pleasure dealing with them. We ended up relying on Mayfair for most of the information that should have been provided by our solicitors. All in all, they have provided us with excellent customer service from start to finish in what turned out to be a very long process. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars. I wish I could give more. Exceptional service from Mayfair who assisted in the sale of my property which became very difficult to sell. Sale fell through 3 times, however Mayfair, and in particular Jo did everything she could to get the sale through for a 3rd time. Jo went above and beyond and her communication was fantastic. Frankly speaking, there are no words that could be written to appropriately convey what an absolutely astounding and amazing team Grace, Steve and Rachel make, although I will give it a shot here. Steve is a highly enthusiastic and polished professional with extensive experience and local knowledge that gave us absolute confidence that Mayfair were the right team to look after us. His highly consultative approach and frank guidance was a critical factor in the decisions we made in our approach to selling the house, something we are very grateful for. One particular strategic discussion with Steve led to a critical change in our approach which in turn set us on a path that led to a very quick, smooth and faultless sale to a fabulous couple and at a price that everyone was happy with. Grace was astounding. Grace is the absolute embodiment of professionalism, commitment and customer-centricity. Her efforts on our behalf were above and beyond anything we could ever have ever asked for. This sale represented an incredibly important step and change in our lives, and yet we often commented that Grace was definitely more passionate and engaged in the sale of the house than we were! Faultless in her communication and guidance, we felt grateful that we were under her wing throughout the sales process. We cannot thank Grace enough for everything she did, and how she did it too. We met Rachel during the conveyancing process and I have to say that I personally underestimated how important her role would be in making sure communication between all parties was as smooth, rapid and faultless as she made it. She continued to help us, even after the sale completed as she gave further advice on the buying process. A huge thanks to Rachel for everything! Rented a property through the estate agent, which happened to belong to the estate agent owner Stephen Froy. We were promised that the property would be in a good condition when we moved in, however we arrived with it being filthy. Dust was everywhere, leak around the toilet and the stench of damp everywhere. The oven was also thick with grease and grime that must have been built up over years. When we addressed the problems to elder and Froy estate agents it took a vast amount of time for us to receive a response from the landlord (Stephen Froy); legal action had to be mentioned until he would respond. Eventually he came to visit the property, to view the problems. His response when my fiancé mentioned the uncleanliness of the house was "I am a man, I don't notice these things". Luckily enough we manage to escape the contract early, however had to throw away items due to mould growing on items we had stored in the kitchen cupboards, this included a George foreman Grill and table matts.

I let my first property out in 2012. This proved to be the best decision for me. At the time, was under a different company name, but the same wonderful staff. Most of my dealings with the lettings have been with Jennie. I cannot speak highly enough of her. Ever professional, warm and friendly. Offering very good advice and guidance, but leaving the final decisions to me. If I have a query, Jennie or someone else will get back to me as soon as practically possible. They are always on the ball regarding the detail and status of both of our properties, which is great. I know Jennie, and the rest of the staff at Mayfair, will look after our properties as if they were their own, look after us as landlords like we were family and look after the tenants interests too. My boiler packed in 9 days ago. I have a 10 month old and 2 other children under 7!! I’ve had two visits from an engineer to tell me it needs a new part or ideally a whole new boiler. I’m currently still waiting to get confirmation from the landlord to give the engineer the go ahead to fix it. Meanwhile the house is freezing it’s nearly the end of October and I’m sat chasing everyone to see when it’s getting sorted. I’ve also been told the agency should have provided us with heaters yet we’ve had nothing. It’s just not good enough!!

If we were ever to go through buying and selling in a pandemic, with a stamp duty holiday, we would come and find Jo.
