FacebookI would not recommend Homes4u to anyone, they are inefficient and don’t really care about satisfying their student tenants. The house was in a poor state from the beginning of our tenancy, with lots of items damaged and in a bad condition, despite Homes4u having 10 days where I wasn’t allowed to move in so they could inspect the property. The items included mattresses, curtains, wardrobes, doors, light fixings, wallpaper just to name a few. One of the worst being the grill on the back door being broken, it took them months to fix and prevented access through the door, breaking fire regulation standards. Another would be our gas oven began to cut out about half way through the year (a massive fire hazard in my opinion), something they never got round to fixing or replacing because the house was for sale. Our property managers kept leaving the company without anyone notifying us meaning many of my emails (the form of contact they told us to contact them by) were ignored. Many of the problems with the house were not fixed and if they were it took a lot of emails from my part and a few months to get it done. And the cherry on top of the cake is that they are now taking our deposit for things that were wrong with the house before we moved in. All in all my impression of Homes4u is that they couldn’t care less about giving you good service, they just want your money with minimal effort.

FacebookJust recently moved out of a Homes4u property after being there for 6 years. Goes a long way to say that this is the largest stay we have had in one property. Our property manager, Andrew Brownlee, was an absolute pleasure to deal with from original viewing, through contact with the landlord and contractors who worked on the house and leaving process. Very attentive and responsive to communications, adding to the reason we stayed for so long. In fact the only reason for us moving on was to find a bigger space now we have a one and a half year old. We even tried to find another property with Homes4u due to the great service. Highly recommend to anyone and our new property managers have large shoes to fill :) Nearly forgot to say another thank you to other members of the team Ann, Adele and Michelle. All incredibly helpful and super responsive.

FacebookThis letting company are good and let only good properties as before I met them was always going online estate agents and all the house I see know looks like there pictures or are craps, coming from my friend house saw there office and went in and ensuite got all help and first house thst I went to view with them I like and before them view like tens and was all shit... So will really recommend homes4 u. Thanks

FacebookHomes4U have managed the letting of my student properties for the last 7 years. Their service is excellent and hassle free as they manage the entire process with minimal intervention needed from myself. The only improvement would be for my properties to be automatically relisted every winter without the need for me to fill in the same form each time. This year Matthew Massey from their Fallowfield office has let both properties at competitive rates and has kept me well informed through out the process - well done.

FacebookMyself & my bf have currently got an app process with homes4U. Courtney that dealt with us was lovely & extremely helpful. My bf rang yesterday to discuss where the app was upto & was told in not so many words that we wouldn’t get the house cos he is self employed & couldn’t produce payslips & cos we both have a little bit of bad credit, He said the guy he spoke to was extremely rude & very unhelpful! We both work hard my bf especially & we have been made to feel belittled due to past errors! We have both rented in the past & have both never had a problem getting a property before so I don’t understand why it is suddenly a problem now and why we have been made to feel like we don’t deserve to put a roof over our children’s heads!

GoogleLeo, the manager of the Homes for You letting agency in Crawley, is horribly unprofessional and a constant frustration to deal with, such that I refuse to stay in the flat beyond the 6-month lease. During the application process we fully disclosed our employment situations and he never hinted at any reason why with our incomes we could not lease the property. It was only after we had paid 220 pounds in non-refundable reference and credit check fees that he then told us that he could not accept one of our jobs as an income source, and that we would have to secure a guarantor and pay an additional 100 pounds to do a check on that person. We offered to pay 6 months rent in advance but he refused and insisted we find a guarantor. The one person we felt comfortable asking was offended by how he addressed and communicated with her that she refused to turn over her financial documents to that agency. She still maintained the offer to serve as our guarantor but refused to do so with Homes for You. As we had already paid 220 pounds in fees we did not want to lose this and ultimately moved in after paying nine months rent in advance. Once moved in to this brand new property we discovered that it was impossible to have a phone company install a line because the necessary work for this had not been done. When we called to ask about this to Leo spoke to us very rudely and condescendingly and hung up the phone, then tried to blame it on a "disconnection." He also cannot remember our job titles such that the landlord and neighbours all thought we had other jobs than we do. He is a real frustration and unprofessional person with whom to do business. Go to any other letting agency and save yourself the headaches and the hassle. The neighbours who have moved in also complained about how badly they felt they were treated.
My apologies to Sarah. This person has put an inaccurate review as she remained in the property for more than 2 years and seem very happy when she left. Please note: The issue in question was down to British Telecom, not Homes For You and the manager Leo.
