It's not often I write reviews, however I feel compelled to write this one. After the passing of my mum the process of selling my childhood home became a reality. We tried 2 different estate agents with no success, until I was recommended Emma. Straight from the get go, Emma's calming, friendly and professional manner put me at ease and made me believe I could get the house sold for what it was truly worth. This is first time I have been through the process of selling a house which was quite stressful when I was trying to understand various terminology from solicitor enquiries. Emma helped me deal with all the enquiries point by point and allowed calls outside of normal hours. She also acted as a conduit between me and my solicitor to help answer any queries where she could. I will forever be grateful that Emma was the person to help sell my mums house. She understood the sensitivities around selling my childhood home and did it justice for the amount of work my passing mum had done. Emma will always be at the top of my recommendation list for family or friends looking for an amazing estate agent. She truly cares which is rare find. Thank you Emma!

If this platform allowed a 0-star rating, I would use it. One star is a massive overstatement for the service provided by Emma Sheridan- HR Estate Agent. After being just one week away from exchanging contracts, the seller withdrew. Throughout the entire process, Emma Sheridan was incredibly unprofessional refusing to take phone calls and using WhatsApp messages. When I raised legitimate concerns from the survey, they were dismissive and rude rather than acting as a competent middleman. The most unethical part? I discovered they had remarketed the property behind my back while it was still 'Sold Subject to Contract' (SSTC), all while I was actively paying for solicitors and surveys. When I confronted them, their only response was: 'The seller asked me to remarket, you need to speak to them.' An agent’s job is to broker the deal, not pass the buck to the seller after the buyer has already invested significant funds. Because of their lack of transparency and poor management, I am now thousands of pounds out of pocket for legal and survey fees. Buyers: Be extremely careful. Their lack of integrity and 'shadow marketing' tactics are a massive risk to your finances."

What a whirlwind of a sale which would have not been possible without Emma. We phoned up to place offer on house (as we had seen house earlier in year) on Fri 28 Nov, we flew to Lanzarote on Tue 2 Dec and on Thur 11 Dec, day before we flew home, and completion had happened. James was excellent from start to finish. Literally absorbing all the stress that comes with being in a chain. Everyone he reccomended from the Conveyancers to the Surveyor and Removal company were of the best quality and service. It really was a 1 to 1 relationship and felt very personable. He chased everyone for me and kept me updated all the time. Nothing was too much for him. Harry is a one in a million estate agent, an absolute gem who I would 1000% recommend if you’re buying/selling a house. From the moment we first met him we knew he would be a good fit, friendly and approachable but professional, and had obviously done his research about prices in our area for similar houses to give us an honest opinion about the saleability and recommended listing price for our home. The moment we were ready to move forward he rapidly organised for professional photos and drone footage as well as a classy for sale sign, and had our Rightmove listing prepared with a fantastic summary of our home. Even before the listing went live, he was advertising our property on social media and had booked multiple viewings! I’ve never known an estate agent to be so communicative, both my husband and I were receiving daily updates through WhatsApp and phone calls, and he was very flexible with fitting around our work commitments for calls and when booking viewings. I used James to sell my house when a previous agent couldn’t. Right from the start he was professional and helpful and communicated with me constantly. James conducted all of the viewings, something the previous agent didn’t do, which put me at ease. James sold my house pretty fast which was great. Unfortunately the buyer pulled out just before exchange, and so I didn’t lose the house I was buying, I instructed James again to sell my property. One open house later and he sold my house a second time. I can’t recommend James enough to anyone wanting to sell their house. It’s not been plain sailing in regards to my sale, but none of that was to do with James. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that my sale and subsequent purchase went through, often chasing solicitors when they were not doing what they were meant to. After the stress of moving I don’t think I want to move again….. ever. But if I did, I would never use another agent

We purchased a house from a lovely lady who was selling through HR Estates. Zack was absolutely incredible from start to finish. When we first viewed the house Zack was so informative and knew the house as if it was his own! We very quickly put our offer in, Zack kept us informed every step of the way and was always incredibly quick to respond. We were eager for a quick sale, as was our seller. Zack ensured he was constantly pushing things along, even as far as advising and helping with our sale! He went above and beyond, constantly chasing the solicitors through the whole chain and advising us with complications on our own sale! I don't know how we would have managed our sale and purchase without Zack, he made the whole process so smooth. If we were ever to sell again we would definitely go with HR Estates as they were 10 times better than the estate agents we chose!

Emma at HR was amazing from start to finish. We invited three different agents to quote and we chose Emma because she gave us the most confidence that we would get the best price for our home and the cost was the lowest too. Emma showed us other homes that had sold near and like ours, gave us tips and advice with regards to what we could do to make the property as presentable as possible and equally saved us time and money on doing stuff that wouldn’t make a difference. We were then on the market within a matter of days, professional photos were done with a very detailed and personalised description that highlighted positives about the area and amenities. Emma always kept us up to date, we had a WhatsApp group for our sale to organise viewing times etc and had calls to discuss offers and anything else that needed a conversation. Our first buyers unfortunately fell through, we were worried we might lose the home we had put an offer on but Emma spoke upwards to the chain on our behalf and was able to ensure we didn’t lose that house. Emma was open about the whole situation and told us promptly, we had the house back on the market same day, we had new viewings and offers within a couple of weeks and because of the work Emma had done communicating with the chain, we didn’t lose the home we had our offer accepted on. We can’t recommend Emma enough!

I had at first gone with the big name estate agents and didn’t any joy in getting sale over the line.
