I let a flat through Elite Property for 5 years and it was a mixed bag. I'll start with the good: - Reasonably prompt reply with sorting any issues with the flat. Often a fix was found and made within a couple of days. - Starting the rent was nice and easy. The paperwork was standard and all signed off quick. - The team were helpful when organising returning keys. I was unable to return them in person so we arranged an alternative solution. - The flat itself was in lovely condition and a great place to live. - The inventory software that's used, Inventory Hive, is adequate but not stellar. It gets the job done. Sadly I have had a lot more negative experiences over those 5 years, mostly in the last 6-12 months of my tenancy: - Sometimes requests to have issues sorted would go unsolved for extended periods of time. I am talking multiple weeks or months. I had a request to fix a window latch unsolved when I moved out. I hope it was fixed for the next tenant -- the windows in that place helped keep it cool on a hot summer day! - The team made a reasonable effort to notify me of flat inspections, but I would often be told of a flat viewing on the SAME DAY as they intended to come by with a prospective tenant. - The whole end-of-tenancy process has been a souring one that oozes lack of effort. The exit inventory had text and photo content copied wholesale from the check-in inventory, saying everything was clean and tidy, giving me the sense that everything was fine. I was very surprised to hear 22 business days later that some money would be paid from my deposit to clean parts of the flat! It was very easy to miss the small icons that said parts of the flat needed some additional cleaning. Elite Property have a lot of room for improvement in their communication skills. Some information I gave them I had to tell them a second or third time because colleagues forgot to hand it over. The team could pro-actively notify tenants of delays instead of leaving them in the dark. I believe the folks at Elite Property can do much better. Overall I give my experience a 2.5/5. It was far-from-stellar. It was also not the worst. I think it was a below-average experience. I can't give half-stars, so I'm marking my review as a 3/5.

The worse renting experience ever, believe the reviews you read about the agency. Really untrustworthy people, before I left the apartment I called the office twice to ask if it’s okay to leave the furniture, they told it wouldn’t be a problem and they wouldn’t charge me anything. It took them almost a month to retry my deposit, ignored all my emails, charged me 120 £ for leaving for leaving furniture after they assured me that I wouldn’t be charged for furniture. Also charged me 150£ to clean a tiny one bedroom apartment. Which was dirty one I moved in. They are lying in their reply to this review about returning the disputed charges. Expect you to sort your issues out yourself..I spent months complaining of loud banging pipes..only to be told by the manager dont presume its coming from your flat ..really.. so I took it upon myself to contact the local MP who put me in touch with the Noise team and cutting a long story short it was a small part in the toilet cistern...so because they couldnt be bothered I got it sorted so well done me!! Never answer emails..so basically stay clear!! Don’t sugar coat what happened it wasn’t dealt with how it should have been end of ! And as far as the MP goes why would you know about it I dealt with it like everything else .

We rented with Elite and they were very friendly and helpful. When we had any issues they would let the landlord know and get someone to come out to check. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is probably more to do with the landlord, but as we didn't have any contact with them directly, I can't say for sure; there was never a carbon monoxide alarm fitted, even though it was flagged multiple times and some of the issues we mentioned were never dealt with even after they sent someone over to check them. Overall a good experience as a tenant.

I initially planned to stay at a property I rented through Elite for 6 months, and when I needed to stay for longer they were extremely accommodating. When I had an issue with my oven, maintenance were dispatched quickly and it was fixed with no hassle. Everyone at the agency I interacted with was polite and helpful especially during the moving out process, when I accidentally left items at the property and needed to collect them. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for property in the area.

All I wanted was to view a property but it's been unnecessarily difficult. FYI this will be long because I have the time today and I want to give a full account so you can judge for yourself if I've been OTT etc. I initially saw the property online and called them at 3pm on Friday 24th July. After waiting on a hold for a couple of minutes, I was told that all the agents were too busy to handle my enquiry. They asked for my phone number and said that they would call me back. By the end of the day i.e. 5.30pm, I hadn't received a call which is understandable if they really were busy. So I emailed them and let them know what dates I wanted to view the property. They emailed me back 10 minutes later and shared their viewing times. I emailed and asked for a specific date and time. They emailed me on Monday 27th July to let me know they had booked this in so I was happy. 9am on the viewing date (Monday 3rd August), I realised they hadn't shared the exact address so I emailed asking for it. 2 hours later, they responded and shared the exact address but also said that because the existing tenants still hadn't agreed to the viewing time I had asked for, the viewing likely wouldn't go ahead. They did say that they had been chasing the tenants for a response but I found it odd that this hadn't been communicated to me until I emailed them. As far as I knew up to that point, it was a confirmed viewing. I shared more dates and times when I was available and we rescheduled for the next day, late afternoon. I also let them know that I had travelled specifically for property viewings and would only be in Coventry for a few days. 3 hours before the viewing, they emailed and said that the tenants still hadn't agreed to the viewing and that they would let me know if it would still go ahead. I responded and said okay. Nothing after that. Fair enough if the tenants hadn't provided their confirmation. But to wait until the day to tell me that the viewing isn't confirmed? They had a week to let me know. They didn't share this information until prompted. Perhaps, I should also add that whilst browsing online for other properties to view (after the failed viewing), I saw that they had added another listing for another room in that same property...interesting. They could have offered a virtual viewing or even let me know if they have other properties that they think will interest me? I'm a potential customer and I thought the goal was to try and keep me, not turn me off from ever contacting them again. The other agents that I've spoken to have made the effort, so what's stopping them? At this point, I'm not sure I believe their tenants excuse for delaying the viewing? I came through and looked to the reviews and I realised that others had experienced issues with viewing properties as well so I thought I would share mine as well. Even if they respond to this with the same template answer of 'your details aren't in our database, you never booked a viewing with us' etc, please understand that I gave specific times and dates in this review because I have the phone and email records for every exchange I had with them. If I'm not the first to complain about this, then this is clearly a recurring issue which they haven't fixed. I hope this is helpful for any other potential renters!NegativeProfessionalism
