Agency wise, they were very good. The property viewed was very nice and in good condition. But I was disappointed with the kind of checks and the documentation they ask for ( as if you are applying for a mortgage). The other alternative for this is for you to pay up all the rent in advance (e.g. 6 or 12 months x monthly rent of approx £400 and agency fee). I suppose agencies have to be more robust to satisfy the property owner. I managed to find and move to another property in a very short time using spareroom site, requiring much shorter documentation check list and a reliable landlord. I guest it all depends on which route you want to take!!

**HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!** I cannot rate this company highly enough! I am a landlord, I moved to Coopers from another (awful) lettings agent in central Coventry and had really low expectations but Simon and Michelle at Coopers did absolutely everything possible to make the move as simple as possible (even though the previous company were being unprofessional). When I had a tenant move out, Michelle and Simon offered an excellent service in securing a suitable tenant with full checks and kept me informed of progress with frequent updates on the application, resolving any issues there and then! They really went out of their way to ensure my experience with them was easy, they are professional and very knowledgeable about the market as a whole. They are friendly, professional and efficient and highly recommend!

I viewed a property advertised for rent with Coopers estate agents, Upon the first inspection the property seemed to be a bit smelly however i decided i liked the location and soon became a tenant. After moving in i soon noticed how filthy things were ! i.e under the cooker knobs, round taps and inside cupboards, The water was not draining properly in the sinks and bath either. I took it upon myself being as this was the first property i had ever rented anywhere and cleaned to my standards and unblocked the sinks. When i gave my notice to coopers and vacated the flat after 2 years Coopers informed me a large part of my deposit was being withheld because i left the address dirty ! I found the lady i was dealing with over the phone and via email very argumentative and uncooperative, I went out of my way to make sure someone was home so Cooper's could arrange viewings for potential tenants. My deposit was passed to the TDS who saw in my favour and i was refunded in the end.. but it goes to say i would not do business with Coopers again.

Matt, we are always open to constructive criticism, however I think that your comments are unfair and incorrect. When you moved in to the property, you had 7 days to make any comments on its condition and these comments would be added to the inventory. You raised no cleanliness concerns, or indeed any other type of issues during this period and therefore the inventory reflected the fact that the property was in good condition and clean. Contrary to your statement, TDS did not find in your favour and instead awarded £85 worth of cleaning to the Landlord. In fact, on further consultation that the Landlord had with TDS, subsequent to their initial decision, a further £45 for cleaning (£130 in total) was passed to the Landlord due to an error in the original Adjudicator’s assumptions and findings. We do not open dispute cases lightly as they are costly and very time consuming. In a significant majority of our tenancies, we refund deposits quickly and amicably, outside of any formal adjudication process.

As a regular buyer from Coopers and in particular working with both Clare and Sian in sales I've had an absolutely brilliant experience. Both are lovely, friendly and professional people and an absolute joy to work wit. Just got our house keys today from Coopers. Claire in sales was amazing. She took care of everything and was ever very helpful. She spoke over the phone like she had known me for years.
