My partner and I used Strakers to purchase our first house and they have been fantastic. We have had Matt show us a house before in the area but it wasn't to be. He the showed us around this property during the Covid pandemic where we were asked to follow government guidelines. We put in the offer straight after view and Strakers did their very best to get the procedure running quickly. During the progression stage, they had a separate team who were dedicated to every case and they will always answer your questions and solve your quires. They have multiple members of staff who can all assist you. Thanks to Strakers, the process went through very quickly, even with Covid slowing everything down. I would definitely recommend Strakers.

I was very impressed with your lettings service, especially during lockdown and all three members of staff I had dealings with (and subsequently met in the Devizes office) were extremely helpfu.My only suggestion is that the very detailed 72 page inventory report should be sent to the landlord and not just held on file with you.This way he would be aware of any shortcomings in the property and take the appropriate remedial action, where necessary.This would ensure the incoming occupier starts their tenancy with the property in the very best possible condition. Having your photographs and my own, flagging up problems requiring the landlord's attention, are rather pointless if not passed on to him!!Apart from that improvement, a big thumbs up all round. Well done team.

I was a buyer. The property wasn't ready for sale (a total absence of supporting regulatory paperwork) despite being with the agent for 6 months. After my offer was accepted I was handed off to some middle person who tried to mislead me over the need for regulatory paperwork which is a protection for future buyers. She kept ringing me to tell me what I already knew from my online conveyancer and trying to get me to speed up the purchase when it was the sellers problem to provide the evidence. When I finally collected the key, the agent offered to provide further help if I needed any. I asked if she could contact the seller to ask if there were any further keys or literature for the appliances. She tried once but couldn't get through; I never heard from her again. What is an agent for if they don't advise and help a seller get the property ready for a speedy sale?

The team were helpful from initial interview to completion. The Valuation Manager gave us honest advice as to the value and selling of our property. We discussed our preferred photos for the sales particulars and our comments were taken into account. The staff gave us adequate notice when we had a prospective buyer to look around, so that we could make alternative arrangements.All the staff were pleasant and happy to discuss any issue or concern that we had. Once we had a buyer the Sales Progressor worked hard behind the scenes to ensure all aspects of the sale were covered.

Having been stuck in the market with another agent for three months, we switched to Strakers - who found us a ready-to-go buyer within six days. Delighted though we were, this was far from the end of the deal as Strakers guided us through a long and fragile chain to completion, always keeping us well informed and making sure that other deals in the chain were kept moving. Thoroughly professional and effective at every stage, we recommend them without hesitation. We are now happy in our dream bungalow following a move which we doubt would have happened without them.

They continually sent different people to show prospective buyers around who gave wrong information, or didn't know the answers to questions. Also someone left our house wide open (back gate and door open - not even just unlocked).We ended up doing the viewings ourself and guess what - then the house sold.

It was a pleasure to work with David at Corsham Strakers. He was sensitive to the fact that this was an emotional move for my elderly Mum. He took time to listen patiently and explained all aspects of the move. He was enthusiastic and complimentary about her home and garden of the last 40 years, which was just what she needed to hear. We have used Strakers to manage a property for us over 4 yrs. The team were excellent and found us an excellent tenant and managed everything as agreed from day 1. Great communication via email and phone. Wouldn't use anyone else in the Wiltshire area. We sold the property recently using Strakers as we had a long term relationship with them and we definitely made the right choice wrt marketing, fees, price of property. The team were always on hand, approachable and helpful. The really nice thing was that when the sale progressed with the legal team Strakers were involved but in a very pleasant and supportive way working as part of a team with us as the client and the conveyancers. Would use again if selling in Wilts

Strakers Lettings staff are very approachable and professional. Their systems are very efficient and provide ourselves, as landlords, with peace of mind as far as management of the property is concerned. They are happy to organise trusted tradesmen to visit the property when maintenance issues arise, but are equally happy for us to use our tradesmen if we would rather.It is very reassuring to know if the tenants need to ring their emergency number due to an unexpected problem having occurred, there is someone on hand to organise emergency repairs. They work very closely in partnership with ourselves for the best outcome for all parties, landlords, tenants and good level of maintenance of the property. Their services give us peace of mind.

Initial service was great. Sadly that was undermined by a series of disappointing experiences with the service regarding outgoing tenants. On three occasions my property was deemed to have been left in a satisfactory condition but this was far from the case. I had to fight for retention of deposit money for cleaning etc (happy to provide details). This was extremely frustrating as the whole point of employing the services of an agent was to protect my property and spare myself aggravation. Not happy!Fast forward to recent months however and the arrival of Claire Edwards at the Devizes office. Hooray! Someone who really has their (eagle) eye on the ball, who is a stickler for standards, and who is unafraid to tackle tenants about issues. Faith redeemed. Despite my disappointments I have always found members of the Strakers organisation to be respectful, polite and friendly.

We have used Strakers three times to date in both a selling and buying capacity and have been 100% pleased with their services each time.They are always totally professional and honest in every way, we have always had a great feeling of being able to leave everything to them. We always felt confident to trust them to carry out whatever was needed without us having to do much at all other than the legal basics. Every member of staff have been fully approachable and always easy to get in touch with should the need arise too which is something of a rarity these days.If I needed an estate agents service in that area again I would have no hesitation is using them or recommending them to friends and family.

We purchased and sold via North Swindon Strakers and they were fantastic throughout. When we first approached the team, they were professional and reassuring. They kept us updated about viewings and gave us constructive feedback. They regularly showed us appropriate houses on the market and ones new to the market, really listening to what we needed from a house. Everyone in the office was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend Strakers and felt they provided an excellent, value for money service.

GoogleAt last, we found an estate agent who listens, who responds and who gets results. We chose Strakers to sell our home as they were the agent selling the bungalow we wanted to buy. No other reason at that point. However, we soon found that, mindful of competition for the bungalow, they worked flat out to get us the market I double-quick time and got us viewings the same day we appeared on the web. Although we missed out on the bungalow by one day, Strakers found us two willing buyers with the offers we were looking for, all within three weeks of putting our house up for sale. They the worked with us to find an alternative bungalow, and continue to do so. Each time, their suggestions have been based on our needs and although the search still goes on we are confident that we have an effective and practice agent on our side.

I bought through Strakers and they were great all the way through the process. (Much better than the Estate Sgents I sold through.) They kept me in the loop and were on hand to answer any queries I had. They removed the sold sign promptly after I had moved in. They even gave me a bottle of bubbly when I picked up the keys, which was a lovely touch! Helpful and friendly and even though I have no plans to move again any time soon, I would use Strakers next time!
