We were purchasing a house that Straker's were selling. Eleanor and the team were always on it, in constant communication to us, and prompt to reply to our emails or let us know what was happening (usually before our solicitor!). If we were ever selling a house, we'd seriously be considering using Straker's after our experience being on the other side of the trade!

GoogleAs a first-time buyer, the whole process felt slightly overwhelming but Eleanor (and everyone else at Strakers) made it such a positive experience. Eleanor was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and always quick to respond to any questions I had. I was kept informed at every stage, which really helped to put my mind at ease. Her professionalism and support made a huge difference, and I genuinely felt looked after throughout the process.

Being a landlord, I have had many professional inter-actions over the years with the Strakers Lettings team who diligently manage my properties. Karen and her team (Nicky, Michele, Nick & Helen) have ALWAYS impressed me by their efficiency, swift response, their clarity of communication and doing exactly what they said they would do, and on time - it is a rarity nowadays!I have also heard how good and caring they are with the many tenants they have on their books - finding that balance of managing each others need and expectations is a real skill - they do it brilliantly.For me its Strakers all the way - Karen has clearly created and embedded a great ethos in her small team who are 100% reliable and wholly professional in all that they do.Thanks so much for looking after my interests (and all my tenants) in a fair and diligent manner.

It’s was a awful experience moving out ,after paying deposit from the beginning of moving in and when I moved out the agent refused to refund my deposit and said it’s wasn’t a deposit but a 50percent of the last rent and still refused to refund til date ,after giving me date and time that a new tenant would move in at the early of my notice and the new tenant move in immediately I move out and never refund my 50 percent deposit I paid from the beginning of renting the accommodation. I was treated badly and ignore and threatened even before my move out . Till now am still traumatized with such horrific experience with your agent of renting an apartment . I just believe is because I was a black that why he did such , because have rented other apartment before moving in here and I wasn’t treated like that and all through my stay I never defaulted in my rent payments even the damage I cause which also caused my injury in the process I was ask to pay and I did without complain but when it’s time to refund my deposit your agent started giving a lot of excuses and ignore so he won’t refund. I don’t believe he treat other race like that because the way he treated me was wrong

Strakers manage a property for our daughter who is temporarily living abroad. We have had several main contacts looking after us in the last 5 years and are currently dealing with Danie Brock. All have been outstanding. Danie, in particular, investigates any issue with the tenant promptly and resolves them efficiently and effectively. She shows great initiative, always keeps us well informed and is very professional.

Our experience with Strakers left us extremely disappointed and significantly out of pocket. After viewing a property through Strakers, we felt heavily pressured to offer the full asking price immediately in order to “secure” the house. Once our offer was accepted, there was constant pressure to move quickly, with repeated chasing of us, our solicitor and even the agent selling our own property. We were encouraged to push ahead with legal work and surveys despite concerns within the chain. Acting on this urgency, we spent close to £1,000 on surveys and legal costs. When our buyer unexpectedly withdrew, we were given less than a week to secure another buyer before the property was remarketed and sold elsewhere. At the same time, we were advised to urgently reduce the price of our own property by more than we had intended to in order to secure a quick sale. In hindsight, this advice appears to have worked against us and left us financially disadvantaged. What frustrated us most was the imbalance throughout the process. We were repeatedly pressured to accelerate and incur costs quickly, yet once another buyer was found, the urgency seemed to disappear entirely. We also discovered inaccurate information had apparently been communicated to our own estate agent during the process, which only added to our concerns regarding transparency. We appreciate that chains collapse and house purchases are stressful. However, we came away feeling that maintaining momentum in the chain was prioritised above protecting buyers from unnecessary risk and expense. Others may have a different experience, but based on ours, we would advise prospective buyers and sellers to proceed carefully, ask questions, and avoid being pressured into moving faster than they are comfortable with. We raised our dissatisfaction directly with Strakers through their formal complaints process. Despite the concerns outlined and the financial loss incurred, they denied any wrongdoing and declined to accept any accountability for the way the transaction was handled.

Had a number of viewings with Sue from Strakers last Saturday It was refreshing to meet an agent who was so welcoming, down to earth, enthusiastic and made my wife and I feel at ease, unhurried and who listened to our feedback and gave helpful comments which were unbiased and informative on each property we viewed with Sue Katy also who arranged our viewings was very enthusiastic and so pleasant to deal with. Very impressed with Strakers and highly commend them as being a extremely professional estate agency!

From our initial contact with Strakers, their service has been excellent. When first approached they gave clear advice about the market and selling. When we asked them to put the property on the market, they were able to identify buyers and we had an agreed offer within 48 hours. Various difficulties did arise but we were willing to keep the offer and Strakers supported the potential buyers who have been able to complete the deal now. The staff at Strakers are always welcoming and helpful and whoever is in the office, they are aware of what’s going on regarding the sale. They have managed the sale very well

I cannot recommend Strakers enough.We’ve had a nightmare trying to sell our house (not because of the house it was beautiful! but due to buyers not really having a clue or being very honest during the process!).What Strakers provided was someone to discuss and push on your behalf when things were getting extremely tense and stressful. We lost a sale due to first time buyers messing us around and not understanding the buying process but we managed to sell our house again within a week!The team were lovely from the get go, each and everyone we met kept us informed and communicated with us extremely well at every single viewing.Also huge shot out to Helen - literally everyone needs a Helen when buying and selling! We cannot thank Helen enough for the times she supported us and made it much less stressful. Helen was not just a negotiator, keeping everything on track but my much needed counsellor when things got super stressful!I would not hesitate recommending Strakers to anyone and if we ever move (never again when pregnant 🤣🤪) we will certainly be using them. Thank you all so much for your efforts in getting us sold and moved before our babies are here.
