Dee was waiting to greet us when we went to view our new home. She kept us well informed and was very thorough, helping us through the whole process, right through to completion. Very professional, yet warm and friendly, just what you yearn for being long term tenants. I get the impression nothing is too much trouble, and that when anything needs doing, Strakers are right on it. Both comforting and reassuring, especially in these times. Thank You!

Never let through Strakers

If you check the reviews for strakers on any other website you will find them swamped in negative reviews, at least on the letting side. I have been with them for over 10 years, as the house I bought was let to a lovely lady and strakers had originally facilitated this with the previous owner. However today they misplaced my contact details for the Xth time and I've had it, my details have not changed since I signed my first contact with them. Yet they keep contacting the previous owner. I have escalated this issue within the company, they have 4 different methods to contact me directly if they wish and yet they never do. Gods they even sent me my automated monthly statement just fine today, and yet I got an email from the previous owner that he had recieved one with the addendum that I could not be contacted.

I put my rental property with Strakers…

I put my rental property with Strakers and I will never use them again, there Area Property Manager was better than useless, when she did the contract I had to change the photo's as she did not do the inventory she found old ones so I had to change the contract, when the tenant moved in her dog chewed the carpet, this was never picked up on the inspections the tenant told me and apologised, when she left Strakers were supposed to do inspection and inventory well dirty walls a hob that had been fitted 18mths ago looked like it was 20yrs old and filthy walls had been wiped down with a dirty cloth only as high as they could reach same as windows and the agent said it was perfect in the report, there was no mention of the dog peeing in the back bedroom as it stinks and I have had to rip up carpet and underlay also replace floor boards to get rid of the smell this has cost me a small fortune, NEVER use them

We brought a property through Strakers and we couldn't fault anyone we dealt with. We met Cody at our initial viewing. She was able to answers all our questions about the house and provided a great insight to the local area. During the offer process we dealt with David who was very friendly and helpful. Eleanor was amazing through the sales progression stage, keeping us in the loop every step of the way and taking the lead with keeping the other Estate Agents in the chain updated as and when required. Also, not forgetting Vicky who we dealt with over the Christmas/New Year period. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Strakers.

Just wanted to extend our thanks to Matt Stinson and all at Strakers Corsham for going the extra mile for us and finding us the perfect property against all odds, at a time when all the good ones were flying off the shelves the instant they came on the market.Strakers were the only agent in the area that actually took the trouble of informing us of upcoming properties instead of sending out generic spam like the rest.Matt was brilliant. After having a really poor experience with another estate agents, Strakers were brilliant. Isobel got in contact with us about a property that became available again after we'd previously been interested in it, and had us a viewing booked within the week. Viewing was excellent, Tom was professional and answered all of our questions. Emails and calls back and forth about the property all throughout, keeping us up to date and always attending to our queries. We had a great experience with strakers, selling our house and buying. It sold within 2 weeks of going on the market! There were a few hiccups on the way (not strakers fault) but they sorted things out quickly for us and we are now in our lovely new hone expecting our first baby in 5 weeks time! Support and Communication needed

Strakers were fab at selling our property, but offered little or no support or communication to us but only to our buyers during the whole process. Not quite what you expect from an estate agents acting on your behalf. Would not use again.Note: on one of the rare occasions Strakers engaged, we were also asked by Strakers to contribute towards the rent of someone who was in our chain.

From start to finish a good experience

From start to finish Strakers' Devizes office handled the promotion and viewings of my property quite professionally. There was the odd post-viewing feedback that I had to ask about, but other than that no complaints. I even managed to speak to Guy Straker on a couple of occasions early in the UK pandemic experience. What you have to remember, is that prospective buyers can't be forced to come and view your property but you can make it more saleable.

Fantastic

I was surprised and delighted by the level of service I had from Strakers in Corsham. I had 3 local agents to value the property at the outset, but Matt from Strakers was the obvious choice immediately. He knows his stuff, has great local knowledge & is straight talking. He valued the house at a sensible price (unlike one of them who valued it at least £50,000 over what it was worth), & got to work marketing it immediately once we agreed terms. Once the sale was underway, the progression team, in particular George, were fantastic, liaising with everyone involved & ironing out problems as they arose. Everyone I dealt with there were friendly & super efficient. I couldn't have asked for more.
