TrustpilotConditional Selling
Would not allow us to view a property without providing proof of funds to purchase - just to view, not when making an offer. Funny how this only came up when they were plugging their mortgage services and were desperate to book an appointment. Company interests above those of the seller and buyer. If you are thinking of selling with this company, just think of all the buyers they won’t allow to view your home. Can’t be in your best interest can it?

TrustpilotLANDLORDS BEWARE!
LANDLORDS BEWARE! This review concerns Miller Countrywide Falmouth Branch but given our experience with Countrywide customer care it appears that the culture of the whole Countrywide franchise is rotten to the core.

TrustpilotWould not recommend Miller Countrywide
Would not recommend Miller Countrywide. Unlike most Estate Agents they do not complete the Memorandum of Sale in-house. Consequently you can add 2 weeks to an already ridiculously long exchange/completion

TrustpilotSleazy, Tacky Tactics
I have received several mailshots from this estate agent. All are unsolicited. In order to stop these unwelcome mailings I have to contact a third party- editmy info- and give my full details, including my email address. No doubt this will then lead to more unwanted rubbish.

TrustpilotFALMOUTH BRANCH ARE THE WORST LETTING AGENTS OUT THERE. AVOID AND DO NOT USE
FALMOUTH BRANCH IS EASILY THE WORST LETTING AGENTS IN THE UK. INCOMPETENT STAFF, NO IDEA OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, NEVER REPLY TO EMAILS OR CALLS. JUST AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I CANNOT STRESS HOW AWFUL FALMOUTH MILLER COUNTRYWIDE IS FOR LETTINGS. IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THEM ZERO I WOULD HAVE

TrustpilotWhat a despicable LYING VILE .company
What a despicable company. As lovely as they can be while telling you that they will send you a viewing, chatty chatty chatty, yes you will have the first refusal, then keep you waiting for days, they actually screen their calls and flick it to the answerphone when they see it is you. Ring on a different number and the answer and sound really sheepish and make up a total load of lies as to why they haven't sent the video. In the meantime, you have let other properties go due to their optimism about getting the one you asked about. The fact that lucy and Simeone sounded so nice makes them that much slimier. I have family members with businesses in Torquay and will make it my first mission when I do move there to have the name of this tinpot company spread as far and wide as I can for being the disgraceful, duplicitous liars they are. ESTATE AGENTS ARE KNOWN AS FILTH FOR A REASON....................... THEY ARE

TrustpilotTerrible. Would not recommend
Would not recommend this estate agent. We applied for a property and the took a £200 holding deposit from us and now refusing to give it back. In the current housing crisis where people and families are desperate for homes, have nowhere to go and are facing homelessness - all these people are concerned about is lining their pockets. We have emailed them numerous times and now they just don’t reply and ignore us. The process from start to finish was disorganised and nothing was explained properly. To just take peoples money and not even bother to communicate with them is disgusting.

TrustpilotYet another 1 star review, unsurprisingly.
Much like the other 82% of reviews, I too have had bad experiences them from both a buyer and a seller's point of view. TLDR: They are incompetent, uncommunicative (even within their own offices) and just generally awful to deal with. The trouble is that there are too many chumps to rip off, which explains why a company can get 82% of reviews giving 1 star and still be in business. Seems wrong. If you're a buyer and want to book a viewing, you'll have to give them far more data than they need, and far more than any of their competitors ask for. They'll want to know everything about you, and to be honest I'm almost suprised they didn't ask for a DNA test, a stool sample and for me to slice off a sliver of my kidney to give to them. To even book a viewing with them you'll need to provide proof of mortgage offer, I'm assuming so they can try and rinse more money from you by offering vastly overpriced mortgage deals with their 'partners'. For a viewing only, there is no reason why you need proof of a mortgage offer, other than to force people into giving the company their details, which MillerCountrywide can then give/sell to their partners. As someone who currently rents, I found out the very day I moved into the flat that they put the property on the market, then started hounding me by email, text, phone calls and voice mails practically demanding entrance for prospective buyers less than a week after I'd moved in! The trouble is that they have Sales and Rental departments, and neither of them talk to each other, at all, so one hand literally has no idea what the other is doing and they all just pass the blame and responsibility over to the other side. It's bad enough business is greedy and incompetent staffed by people with shoulders so slippery I believe their clothing is made of teflon, and so incompetent I suspect if brains were dynamite most of them would have trouble blowing their own noses.Oh and additionally, when I moaned about them to my landlord, he said he has also had nothing but trouble from them and was considering taking a property he has listed with them off the market entirely his experience has been that bad. Personally, I feel like their company name would be more accurate and suitable if you removed the 'o' from it, added and 's' to the end and then removed all the other letters before 'c' and after 's'.Avoid.

TrustpilotAwful, waste of money bad service
Still deducted their fees despite not collecting the last months rent! I have paid around £1700 in management fees over the years and have been disappointed with the service provided. Initially I took the tenant on in good faith as the office at Miller countrywide told me he was reliable and always paid his rent on time. Unfortunately he hasn’t and has left the flat in a poor condition with ruined carpets and wallpapers. He has also taken my boiler installation certificate. I will now have to pay an Indemnity policy for the sale. I find Miller Countrywide’s response to the situation so far as lacklustre and slow I once had a call from the Torpoint office asking me to arrange a repair for a leaking pipe as they had “too many other properties to deal with” they were still happy to take their fee. I have no idea what I have paid for over the past 3 years.

TrustpilotTorpoint Branch are terrible letting agents
Well where do I start, they fail to return calls and emails. They pass the buck, they have "managed" a rental property for several years for me. The agreement requires two inspections a year. Well I have had a gap of 19months between gaps and 7 weeks between inspections. They keep telling me this year it is government guidelines that mean the inspections have not happened this year. I have shared with them the legislation that says they can. I have now had a "virtual" inspection well the pictures are of a poor quality and it is 12 months since the last inspection. The current manager keeps saying it is not my fault I didn't work here then. It is tiring to deal with such a company. They used to be a little private letting agent when I started before being taken over by this shoddy outfit. I changed bank account for the rent to be paid into so they withheld the payments!!!! Well if you wish to have stress and aggravation use this. I certainly would not trust them to sort out a party in a brewery.

TrustpilotBUYER BEWARE...
BUYER BEWARE...Ensure anything promised or intimated, especially by the manager, is confirmed in writing.During your viewing make sure you document an inventory, sold as seen properties means nothing to this estate agency as vendors will be allowed access to remove whatever property has been displayed to entice your offer.Should you wish to discuss any issues, the manager will no longer be available and your emails will be ignored. The Property Ombudsman can only act on documentation, none of which will be forthcoming from the St Agnes branch.

TrustpilotBeware!
My experience of this company is nothing short of abysmal. The person we are buying from us is using Miller Countrywide and also Millers' solicitors. We are both after a quick transaction, but five weeks after starting the procedure, their solicitors in Wales have not even managed to draw up a contract! After five weeks!!!!!When I contact the local branch, I am told "it is out of their hands" and yet it is Miller's own solicitors who have messed up. Unbelievable. I find this company completely incompetent!NB A day after writing this review, I discover that it is Millers themselves (Head Office) who took FIVE WEEKS to send the sale details to the solicitors. Disgraceful. You couldn't pay me any amount of money to use them

TrustpilotThe Torquay office is just awful
The Torquay office is just awful! Full of young girls who don’t know the basics of sales. decided to leave our nanny cam on one day to see why we weren't getting anywhere and one of the girls there barley said a work other than ‘hmmm’ ‘yeah’ ‘oh my god’ and spent most of the time giggling. Considering their quite pricey for the area I was expecting real quality but if you into their Torquay branch you’d think you were behind the counter at top shop. Really unprofessional, they need to find a good training program for all these girls or get some staff with knowledge and experience.

TrustpilotNew rental.
We decided to entrust our property to Millercointrywide, Falmouth office. The level of service given by Cameron Wallis the branch manager has so far been excellent. The office team I understand is a relatively new and this is in there favour, which shows in their enthusiasm. They keep you informed what is happening at each stage and Cameron certainly represents the company extremely well and is very knowledgeable. We have every confidence that our property will be rented at the anticipated price. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

TrustpilotCant get the address right on a tenancy agreement
Just had a tenant give me notice, Saying the agreement has the wrong address on it so she is not bound buy it.Hundreds in fees and they cant even get the address right on the agreement. No doubt they will say I should have checked it. but if you cant get something that basic correct its probably best to do what I am going to do and go to a different agent when this tenant has left.

TrustpilotBe careful with your deposit if your renting.
It was complicated for me to get my deposit back, it took 7 months, a lot of emails and phone calls. I recommend you to be careful with that, and to use the protection if you can (which only lasts 3 months). Some employees of the companies are very nice and helpful though.
