GoogleI have rented a property with Elms price & co for the past 15 years. I cannot praise Martin, Jake and the team highly enough. They have always been very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Elms price to rent with. Thankyou to all of you for your support over the years and if I ever move back to colchester I will definately rent with you again.

GoogleI don't often award 5 starts as I believe there is always a little room for improvement but this was not the case with Jamie from Elms Price. The sale of my property was a delicate situation and Jamie handled the sale with discretion and was very professional with his approach. Jamie found a buyer within a few weeks of the property going on the market. I received regular updates from Jamie and any issues were resolved promptly and professionally. Thank you to Jamie and his team for all their help in making the sale a quick and smooth process.

GoogleI had to sell my parent's bungalow as my dad had gone in a care home. Andrew was brilliant, he completely took over everything for me by arranging viewings and dealing with any questions from the purchaser. GoogleWe were recommended to Elms Price and Co to sell our house and when the estate agent Andy came and valued our property we were more than happy with his advice and valuation. The fact that we sold on the first viewing for the asking price was great. Darryl, John and Andy were also very helpful as the sale progressed always answering any queries we asked . We appreciated all the help and advise they gave us. They are a good experienced team of agents and I have already recommended Elms Price and Co to two friends who will be moving in the near future.

GoogleLate last year, my elderly mother needed to sell her Essex house as I had arranged for her to move into assisted living close to us in Warks. We invited 3 local estate agents to iscuss the sale and we were most impressed with Darryl's relaxed but professional manner as well as his knowledge of the local market and marketing strategy. His fee was also the lowest so there was no contest! Within 2 weeks, Darryl had set up a fully-booked open day which resulted in several offers at, or above, the asking price! Although the first buyer unfortunately dropped out, Darryl quickly contacted one of the previous viewers who were still interested and the sale was completed several weeks later, Darryl kept us updated throughout and even helped us with collecting and forwarding some papers which had been left in the house by mistake. Excellent service and thoroughly recommended.

GoogleAndrew and Darryl at Elms Price were absolutely fantastic. They found a buyer for our property very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble and the phone was always answered immediately. When they promised to get back at the end of the day, they always did. Their relationship with local solicitors was invaluable and helped the sale proceed to a tight timetable. They really went the extra mile, were absolutely trustworthy and friendly too - the best estate agents ever.

GoogleAs a first time buyer it has been a testing tome looking at properties recently! Having seen something with pretty much every estate agent in Colchester and feeling like because of my budget I wasn't receiving great customer service. However, when I viewed a flat with Luke I felt like I was getting the 5* service. He was so helpful and enthusiastic about the whole process and nothing was too much of an ask (especially when setting up a last minute second viewing). I made arrangements to meet estate agents for valuation and fee proposals, Andrew stood out from the others he was so professional approachable and friendly. GoogleWe used Elms Price to sell our house just over 2 years ago and received excellent service (see previous review) so it was a 'no brainer' to contact them to sell my mother in law's property after she had sadly passed away. The experience was similar to that which we had previously had ; the property was quickly inspected and advertised and potential buyers were viewing within a couple of days. An offer was forthcoming and accepted but as with our previous property this fell through. We were informed of this immediately and Andrew and his team were back on the case and further viewings were arranged within days A further offer was accepted and the sale progressed slowly (No fault on the part of EP) to completion. During the process Andrew and the team kept us informed and I considered that they were applying just the right amount of pressure on the Purchaser /Purchasers solicitors to keep the sale moving. Once again I always felt that I was dealing with real professionals 'who new their stuff' and that standards had not slipped Thank you guys ; Another great job

GoogleOur sale could not have gone smoother. Andrew at Elms Price was extremely knowledgeable and professional, our house was a tricky one to sell being a converted Chapel but with no garden to speak of and no parking so a very niche market, but Andrew made sure viewers knew exactly what to expect (a previous estate agent had not done this and a lot of time was wasted). The second person to view made an offer which Andrew negotiated up for us. All in all a 5 star service. THANK YOU.

GoogleIt’s true that average ratings often get dragged down because more people leave reviews in anger than in satisfaction. For me, ElmsPrice are 5*. I didn’t use Darryl and John at ElmsPrice directly: they were acting for a seller further along the chain. However, when the whole thing looked like falling over (lawyer inertia), it was ElmsPrice that took my calls and emails, chased and cajoled the lawyers, other agents and clients, and helped get the transaction back on track. What was needed was some information flow and transparency: this is exactly what John and Darryl helped bring. As I say, I didn’t use ElmsPrice for my sale, but I wouldn’t hesitate to in the future. Polite, professional, knowledgable, effective and - above all - nice people. Many thanks John and Darryl!

GoogleAs a landlord, i would advise you to be very careful or further more, avoid Elms Price. They do not disclose full information and when you try to get hold of them, they do not get back to you unless you constantly chase I was dealing with Jake re my property. The tenancy agreement was expiring and Jake advised me to agree to a rolling contract. The very first thing i asked was if i would have to pay a fee as if so, i wanted to agree a 12 month contract. It does not make sense having to pay for something twice in the space of a year. Jake told me nothing would be due. I increased the rent to reflect market value as it was heavily underpriced and agreed to a short term rolling contract. It has been agreed that this would take effect from Mid November. However, mid October when the tenant paid for that months rent, i find out i have been charged £400 for renewing the tenancy (on a short term agreement) and increasing the rent. Bare in mind I haven't even received an increased rental payment yet. Under no circumstances whatsoever, was i ever told that this would happen as if so, i wouldve been happy with the approach but wouldve opted for a 12 month tenancy agreement. Basically i am in a position where the tenant can leave tomorrow and i have to then pay another £400. Its very clear what scam Jake tried to pull here. It has taken me 10 days to get hold of him and query this, i kept getting told by other members of the team that he will call me back but he never did. Apparently he tried calling me back three days ago but i never received a call, nor did he give it another attempt or drop me an email to tell me hes tried but it has been unsuccessful. I have reason to believe he has been trying to avoid me after shafting me. Based on the experience disclosed above, I would suggest perhaps opting for a different estate agent, preferably one that is honest and transparent in all dealings

GoogleWe bought our first home through Elms Price and ended up buying our second home through them too. Andrew got to grips with our taste and requirements promptly and found us the perfect home for us; which wasn’t even yet on the market. He helped us secure it for a price we were comfortable with and was a great point of contact thereafter. John was our main point of contact in the latter stages of the process and was equally as great. Responsive, informative, helpful, friendly and genuine. We couldn’t be happier with our fabulous home and really appreciate their assistance throughout the purchase.

Was a difficult sale that took almost 5 months to exchange, however they pushed where needed to help get it through. Nothing was ever too much trouble even when I called in 5 or 6 times a day. GoogleMade my first call with Elms Price late last Friday to enquire about a rental property. They got me in Monday and I’ve just found out I got the house today. As a single mum, I’ve had lots of dismissive estate agents. Elms are attentive, they really listen and they go above and beyond. This was a no stress experience for me and I’m forever grateful to Martin and Jake for their expertise and kindness. I can’t fault them.

FacebookWhilst the sale of our house was less than easy, Jamie Lynch was amazing and went above and beyond to help us! Nothing was ever too much to ask and he was always at the end of the phone if we needed him. Jamie was incredibly supportive throughout and without him I think we would have just given up completely! I would definitely recommend.
