Going to be completely honest and say I’m actually quite disgusted at how we were treated by belvoir. Me and my partner put down a holding deposit on a property, I will add I do know this is all subject to referencing. We were contacted days before we wanted to move in to say our references weren’t up to their standards and they couldn’t even tell us more than that despite asking. We have solid, clear references and could afford to pay 2x the asking price, it’s clearly a massive bidding war and someone managed to get it by paying more money. Shocked and suggest to never use them. We are now left having to find somewhere last minute.

I cannot say enough how grateful I am for Belvoir. Shaun listened to my needs and sorted everything out quickly and answered any questions I had. Julie Davis and her team are highly professional, knowledgeable and extremely personable. When I let my property out through Belvoir I knew I was in safe hands. They kept me updated throughout the term of the tenancy and guided me through the tenant selection process and the end of the tenancy. I will not hesitate to recommend Belvoir.

Pretentious agents who failed to return our deposit amount, although we have paid our monthly rent on time. Nora does not respond to urgent emails till reminders are repeatedly sent or matter escalated. We even informed them if the bereavement situation and further distress this is causing us. It seems her time is more valuable than others, and she has absolutely no respect for others time. Although every single rent has been transferred to Belvoirs account, suddenly "my" landlord isn't responding to repay the deposit - although notice period has been served, all process followed as per their terms. Asked for "my" landlords email address and no response yet. We also informed them to deduct what they must, as it is the norm with all agents and landlords. Still no positive response in sight. I would never trust or even recommend them to anyone.

Recently visited this estate agent and was met with nothing but arrogance and frustration and refusal to help. With the situation I was in, and having some new guy barking questions at me just left me feeling intimidated and upset. Even if my dream house came in their market, I would rather rent a cardboard box than deal with him again...or anyone else for that matter. If nobody is going to step in and show how things should be conducted, then it only says alot for the whole team

I rent my house already from Google. They provide me with a great service although not sure there fix and flo system work that great as been waiting a while for someone to fix my cupboard door in kitchen and so my shed roof in back garden. I think prob is when u got off it to add photos it then makes u sometimes start all over again. Otherwise I'm happy with everything sos much so that my daughter and her partner are looking to see what they have to rent atm as they would like to rent a flat sometime soonish

"Having been a landlord for a..."

Having been a landlord for a number of years I was thrilled to find Julie Davis about 16 years ago when she worked for another agent. I found her to be efficient, 100% trustworthy and great at problem solving. Having used a number of managing agents in the past I soon realised she was the best I had come across and selfishly, I was extremely disappointed when she was promoted to another branch. However a couple of years later I discovered she had moved again, to Belvoir in Colchester. I changed management of my properties to Belvoir and arranged for my elderly mother to do the same. This gave me great peace of mind to know that both our portfolios were being managed by, in my opinion, the best agent in Colchester, and this decision has proved to be an extremely sound business move. Rent is transferred to me promptly, Julie always has a solution to any problem, whether it be maintenance, an issue with a tenant or anything else, and best of all, she has proved herself in the sixteen years I have known her, to be a woman of integrity. Thank you!
