Probably one of the worst agency i’ve had to deal with since starting my search. I had initially enquired on a house which was on the market for sales, I ended up chasing the agency to follow up to arrange a viewing after being told I would be called back to confirm the appointment ; I had to call on 3 separate occasions and it was not until I spoke to the owner of the branch that something was done. Fast forward to today (day of the viewing!), the agent showing us around turns up late and the highlight of this, he had no keys for the property as he “expected the current residents to be home”. Not to mention we traveled from London to visit these properties to not be able to see this. This resulted in us not being able to view as we did not want to wait and felt the entire process from arranging a viewing to the viewing (or not) was very unprofessional. Not to forget, he had called me 30 minutes prior to confirm I would be attending. Very poor preparation and would not work with them again. Personally feel as though there are plenty other estate agents in Colchester which are a lot more professional, organized.

Altogether I've had a really positive time using Belvoir services. The team have been very helpful in breaking down all the legal and often difficult to grasp jargon, showed excellent knowledge of the market and industry, managed to organise prospective tenants in a prompt time, and did all this with a friendly face. A huge thank you to Tamara at Belvoir Colchester for helping us purchase our new family home! She was amazing throughout what can be a stressful time - always replying very promptly to our questions even during a time which she was supposed to be on holiday - she was always contactable and nothing was too much trouble. We would also like to thank Regan for his updates and support on moving day. I would highly recommend Belvoir Estate Agent’s in Colchester. I can’t praise the owner and staff enough. Darren the owner has a lovely mannerism and made me feel totally at ease and explained everything I needed to know in layman’s terms as I have never let my house before. The staff are always so polite and professional and will go out of their way to help and will always return calls in a speedy manner. Darren explained the circumstances of the rental applicants which put my mind at rest as to how well my property would be looked after and rented my property out within the week. When I came to sell my home in Colchester, I called 6 agents and out of them all I found Belvoir the best choice by far. Not only was Darren a really nice guy, but he was upfront with me on everything, told me what he will be doing to help me sell my house quickly and for the market price. And he delivered on everything he said. He also arranged to clean all my windows before the pictures were taken, the pictures were terrific and they used a 3D video of my property which made it easier for viewers to see before attending, especially during the pandemic period. He generated so many viewing for me and some with offers. The house was sold quickly and he got me the market value. If you want to use someone who is professional, friendly and honest I would highly recommend you use Belvoir. A great professional estate agent. Thank you Darren for everything you have done for me.

I had been with Belvoir for almost a year! My experience with the team has been amazing, they communicate very well and solve any issues that need to be resolved. Tia helped me countless times, she was warm and welcoming and made it extremely easy to contact. Nora, another member of the team joined shortly after we moved into our property and was our point of contact for a couple of months, she was very friendly and also helped us along the way. Overall Belvoir is a really good letting agent but needless to say Anjali was stunning, she helped us move out of our property, she made this as smooth as can be. Her genuine care for people is what helped most, if you need anything she will make it a priority to resolve!!

There have been up's and down's being a tenant under Belvoir Colchester over the years. The reason I have given Belvoir 5 stars is due to the fact that there are 3 members of staff, one being the Director, that have gone beyond the norm to help and resolve any problems. Going to be completely honest and say I’m actually quite disgusted at how we were treated by belvoir. Me and my partner put down a holding deposit on a property, I will add I do know this is all subject to referencing. We were contacted days before we wanted to move in to say our references weren’t up to their standards and they couldn’t even tell us more than that despite asking. We have solid, clear references and could afford to pay 2x the asking price, it’s clearly a massive bidding war and someone managed to get it by paying more money. Shocked and suggest to never use them. We are now left having to find somewhere last minute.
