I had a horrible experience with this estate agent, they are cheaper and the service reflects that. I ultimately ended up relisting with a different estate agent. I recommend paying a little bit more for far better quality and customer care, go elsewhere and avoid Amarco at all costs!! I listed with Amarco in summer last year and experienced the following issues: - Mishandling of my house keys (Elaine stored all client keys in her car, her car broke down and she was unable to access them, so we couldn’t get our keys back) - I agreed to an offer way above home report. A few days after I agreed this offer was reduced. - Elaine told me she refused to communicate with our buyers solicitor because she thought they were unprofessional - Failure to communicate that our buyer was affected by Japanese knotweed, despite them selling the property - There was no communication once the offer was accepted. This led to me being stuck in a chain for months with 0 updates. I was constantly misinformed when I chased for an update - The chain collapsed and I only found out when I noticed Amarco had listed the property again on Rightmove - complete lack of communication. It was all handled with a sheer lack of professionalism or respect for me and my husband. I tried to complain and they did not take it seriously at all, I still have not received an apology. All they care about is getting the offer accepted so they get their fees - they don’t care about their customers. The whole process was extremely stressful. Please avoid this company at all costs.

We had an exceptional experience with Elaine at Amarco Estate Agents. We were blown away by the number of viewings arranged within just one day of our house going live, and to then have an offer accepted only a few days later was incredible. Elaine provided a first-class, seamless service and made what should have been a stressful time completely stress-free. Extremely disappointing experience with Elaine at Amarco. We submitted an offer on a property and were told by Elaine that the seller was not considering offers at that time. However, when I followed up shortly afterward due to our strong interest, I was told the seller had already accepted an offer - a direct contradiction to what we were initially told. This lack of transparency and clear miscommunication was frustrating and unprofessional. In another instance, we arranged to view a property that wasn't yet on the market. The seller informed us that Elaine was scheduled to attend for a valuation, which was fine with us, we were happy to proceed through the estate agent. However, it later came to our attention that Elaine had been speaking negatively about us to the seller. While I still don't know exactly what was said, the fact that a professional would speak ill of potential buyers - especially without any justification - is appalling. Having worked in property for over 15 years, I can confidently say l've never encountered behaviour as unprofessional and inappropriate as this. It raises serious concerns about the standards being upheld at Amarco.

Moved into a private let during an insurance claim at my own property. Seemed all fine to start with. Once I moved in I found the place was in a bit of a state. There was bedding drying over the heaters, bin was filled with rubbish below the bin bag, nail clippings in the shower, stains over the sofas and bedding, dirt everywhere, dog hairs and food everywhere, dog mess in the garden. I did make joe aware, but I was also desperate and decide to take care of it myself. Then on moving out to go back home, joe had thanked me for looking after the property. I had spent days cleaning the property and then was shocked to find an email from joe for £250 cleaning fee. I asked what I was being billed for as I left the house in a much better state than given and was sent pictures of some dog hairs behind the couch and some finger marks on a towel rail. I explained that I knew I would have to pay some cleaning fee but didn't understand the £250. I asked for an itemised bill and was ignored. I then raised a dispute with the deposit scheme and this was also ignored by joe. Then about 4 months after I left I recieved an email from my local council tax stating I was due £115 as they had been emailed to say I was living in this property until December. I have since had to send proof, contact my insurance and call and email multiple times to have this sorted. I called joe to ask why this was done and he responded that I should just tell them when I left and that he hadn't given them this information. I explained that this was just more unnecessary hassle for something that was untrue and the council tax team have stated that they had been emailed with this Information about myself from them. Really disappointing ending to this all and just feel like there has been constant attempts to take more money from myself. Also found it very strange that no itemised bill was ever sent, no response was ever given after I disputed this and false claims were made about my move out date, especially when there is proof to back it up.

House hunting the last few months has been an absolute nightmare. Estate agents don’t talk, never seem interested and will say anything to drop you in for a purchase. Joe is by far the best estate agent i have ever dealt with and very competitively priced.v We had another local estate agent in who priced our house low to create a chain. Joe does not do this. He works for the seller. Joe gave me advice on ways to improve the property and the value. In a few weeks we managed to do some work and achieved over 10% more than the other estate agent. We were originally looking for a company to manage our property in the UK whilst abroad and after researching the options selected Mode Estate Agents given their excellent reputation and feedback. We got in touch with Joe and from that point Joe’s experience and dedication were evident. He helped us manage the house remotely and provided first class advice at all times, always contactable and utterly dependable Mode offered us impartial and accurate advice that enabled us to make the ultimate decision to sell the property. We were reticent to make this decision at first given the property’s state of disrepair at that time from the previous tenant, our concern obviously being the potential loss we may incur. However Joe used the wide resources available through Mode and managed the required renovations to bring the house to show home condition, from an initial deep clean to a complete internal renovation, ultimately turning a rather poor prospect into a fist class, high finished property in a very short time. Joe and his team at Mode have delivered each and every time we have called on them, from property management, through renovations to a house sale - which was actually sold at well above what we expected before it was even fully advertised. In my time dealing with property I haven’t come across any other company who are as dedicated, resourceful and customer oriented than Mode. It is testimony to Joe’s commitment to his customer base and his ability to deliver that sets Mode apart from the competition and from any other property companies I have previously used. This included selecting conveyancing solicitor, marketing the property, getting the property “ready for sale”. Joe from Amarco carried out remarkable support work with a vast network of handymen etc to get it ready and maximise “kurb appeal”.
