Very impressed and grateful to Richard Harding estate agents who managed the sale of our property. We spoke to several other agents known for their premium listings and wider geographical reach, but ultimately chose Richard Harding for several reasons. Firstly, we were keen for a prompt off market sale but not at the cost of compromising the sale price - their extensive list and knowledge of existing potential buyers (which far exceeded that of the other agents) meant they were able to identify genuine, suitable and proceedable buyers, ultimately meaning we had a very good offer within a week that proceeded to completion. Secondly, we agreed small sales team to conduct viewings, all of whom had visited the property before it was marketed and were familiar with all the fittings, selling points and nuances to give the property the best chance of a sale. Having secured a buyer, I was also very impressed with the proactive approach to move the sale process along and to smoothly manage the inevitable blips along the way. Huge credit to Ben Murray-Brown, who was handling our sale on behalf of Richard Harding, who was relentlessly efficient, kept me updated throughout, is an excellent read of character (very important when ensuring everyone on all sides of the sales process is on the same page) and was a pleasure to work with. In respect of my onward property purchase, Ben was also excellent at translating my 'on paper' requirements into worthwhile viewings, and was an honest and helpful sounding board when considering pros, cons and development ideas.

We were recommended them by friends and very glad to have found such a well run business as they were totally excellent and professional throughout as well as being very nice to deal with! They impressed from the start when Peter Sharland brought all his team to the house so they all had first hand knowledge of it. Thanks to everyone there as they communicated everything throughout regarding viewings and were always available to answer questions. If you are looking for a reputable, reliable, professional Estate agent, to handle what might potentially be one of the most stressful things you will ever do, then look no further. The team at Richard Harding have been exceptional, helping us both sell our flat (not once, but twice after our first buyers had an unexpected change of heart) and find our dream home (which they were also acting as selling agents for). Pete Walker, whose knowledge of the local market is second to none, gave us a sensible/realistic guide for the value of our flat, not an inflated figure to try and secure our business - and this is exactly what we achieved (initially in a relatively buoyant market, and then for a second time in a slightly trickier market). I must also make special mention of Ben Murray Brown - who has been with us throughout our journey - helping us narrow down our search until we found the perfect home (a house which didnt actually match the brief we initially gave him!) . He has also been instrumental in getting the transaction over the line, managing the inevitable bumps in the road that always crop up in the legal process - and somehow managing to keep everyone in the chain happy, despite some unexpected issues/delays. I would have no hesitation in recommending Richard Harding Estate agents to others, whether you are buying, selling or both. They are very good at what they do.

A high estimation for probate was a disappointment, followed by two instances whereby surveyors entered my house with keys WITHOUT me being told they were coming. Peter then tried to deny that I had not been told; insisted that someone had “left a message”, which did not happen. Would not recommend. they seem to lose interest and consideration once a sale is agreed. *UPDATE: Peter called my private phone number at 5:30pm today to attempt to discuss this review, 2 months after the sale went through. He attempted to ‘thank’ me for the 2* review, which is dubious. Don’t ever think you can call me ever again. I have now lowered the review to 1* for this insincere violation. Just accept that you failed and learn the lessons.

Communications were consistently prompt, and the advice given was thoughtful and reassuring, it made a potentially stressful process feel well-supported from start to finish. While there was a slight hiccup in the handover due to a departing agent, this was quickly and seamlessly addressed without any need for follow-up on my part. I was passed directly to a Partner, Linda, who was excellent, professional, responsive, and clearly invested in the outcome. From my very first viewing, Penny offered a compelling vision of what the property could become, which really helped me stay motivated through the buying process. Having failed to sell our daughters property with another agent we moved to RH after a recommendation to try Ben who had sold our son in law his flat. It was a masterstroke with a revised strategy and a different attitude by Ben in completing the viewings we had over 20 prospective purchasers within two weeks! Our estate agents Richard Harding were outstanding from start to finish. We managed to sell our house in 2021, but then were unable to buy anywhere else due to the very buoyant market. When we found a property at the beginning of 2024, we were easily able to remarket our house and within three weeks had put it back on the market and sold it subject to contract, ensuring we were able to secure our new home. I was really impressed with the service at Richard Harding. We originally bought the house from the estate agents in 2007 and then used them again to sell, 17 years later. I liked the fact that their local knowledge and realistic market pricing set them apart. Peter had given me a few valuations on the property over the years until I was ready to put it on the market. I was given detailed feedback on all the viewings from the agents.When I did accept an offer, the agent Ben was essential in getting the sale across the line. He kept the lines of communication open between myself, the buyers and their solicitor. When selling or buying a house, you can be left in the dark with what stage the process is at and there is a lot of form filling in property selling these days. Having an estate agent who is willing to take the time to communicate what is happening when your solicitor is too busy to do so is helpful! Fantastic service from the team at Richard Harding. This time I have experienced their high standards as a seller, having originally bought the flat from them some years ago. Tom West has been excellent in dealing with all the proceedings. Due to unforeseeable circumstances completion took a bit longer than anticipated. However, all throughout, Tom kept on top of any issues, communicating with both parties and keeping us updated on any developments. Toward the end, he proactively help solve a couple of hurdles quickly and efficiently so that the transaction went through smoothly as possible on completion day. I am very grateful for the extra effort from Tom, especially as I was selling remotely.
