David Burr have managed the sale of my property and the purchase of my new property from October 2023 to July this year. Throughout the whole procedure, which included my first property choice failing after an offer was accepted on it, to finding a perfect new home for me and selling my own property to one of their clients, I appreciated their professionalism. Their client care standards and advice have made the whole experience less stressful than I expected I can recommend the team at Clare and Sudbury who have always shown kindness, patience and understanding and have always been available to deal swiftly and professionally with any queries and problems. They liaised with my buyers and seller regularly to keep all of us updated with regular briefings.. Thank you all for your efforts on my behalf. I could not have asked for better.

Pleasant enough until we had to pull out of a property purchase due to horrendous survey results. We notified David Burr of this promptly and politely, and supplied some screenshots of the survey summary at their request, which we weren’t obligated to do. Matthew, the manager, responded straight away that obviously the surveyor didn’t know what they were talking about and actually described the survey as now being “irrelevant”, despite having said previously that it would be useful when speaking to other prospective buyers. This response is an embarrassment to the company and totally uncalled for. It reeks of bitterness due to lost commission. Very disappointing and unexpected after months of cordial communication. Beware if you’re looking to buy a Victorian house in Haverhill with David Burr, because I’m sure they won’t be upfront about why the previous sale fell through.

Our 500 year-old listed farmhouse was marketed by the David Burr Clare office when we purchased it in 2017 and they were the go-to option when we decided to sell and emigrate in 2022. The house was beautifully photographed and impressively marketed. I found them to have an excellent knowledge of the local market and a realistic understanding of current conditions - both good and bad. They were consistently honest, reliable and realistic during a long drawn-out sale caused by our buyers' sale collapsing twice. Strongly recommended.
