End to end a bad experience

We are renting an apartment through Palmer Snell and it has been very difficult to navigate the administration. Their portals for completing the initial admin don't work. If you ask them for help to get around the issues they create they are curt and come back with brief and unhelpful answers. It feels like they are being duplicitous. Either they don't know the answers themselves when they should, or in other instances they do but don't want to tell you because it makes them look bad or they are actually doing something wrong. They come across as untrustworthy and certainly living here has been a challenging, stressful and unpleasant experience. They don't drive essential admin like snag lists. We don't know how to turn on the heat. There is no love in their process. Only coldness and curtness. I would never choose to live in a home managed by them again.

we used Palmer Snell in Christchurch to rent a property in the local area. We dealt with Jack mainly. I would strongly recommend Palmer Snell to any of my friends and family. Jack meet us on the day we phoned and didn't seem to understand why we had a problem trying to rent having a CCJ against me and guarantor not earning enough money. We had been knock down so many times by other agents. Some didn't even want to show us around because of my CCJ. Jacks had amazing manor about him self. well presented with a strong team around him. James was the guy we signed contracts with. He was also polite and professional. even when we had an issue with a key he was out in the rain trying to sort it out with a smile on his face. So if you like a property on Palmer Snell books or a landlord thinking about asking them to be you agent i would stop looking else where and use Palmer Snell. Sarah Oliver and her team at Palmer Snell have been amazing from start to finish. We were selling my mother in law's house as she has moved into a care home, so we needed a quick sale to be able to pay the fees. On Sarah's suggestion both we and the buyers used CCS, their in house solicitors, for the legal side of things. Their online portal is brilliant (no posting of documents - all done online) and acceptance of the offer to final completion took less than 5 weeks!!!
