OUTRAGEOUS. I am livid. I had a viewing at 11. I saw I was going to be delayed due to traffic (it was a 2h drive from my place and I took the morning off work for this viewing). I called ahead to warn that I would be there between 11h15 and 11h30. The woman on the phone said she would transfer the message. Next thing I know, I arrive and no one is there. I call and they said the estate agent had left. I didnt even get a phone call. They had also failed to tell me there was a huge construction site right in front of the house. So no relaying of message, left without even advising me and lied. I am deeply deeply unimpressed and have rarely seen such an unprofessional company. Will absolutely not be using them again.

My experience of Sims Williams in Chichester was very negative. They found a buyer for my house and then did their utmost to ignore me during the whole process. They very rarely contacted me . I was kept up to date by the agent who was selling the house I purchased. A very indifferent attitude . Just waiting for the commission.!

Had used the lettings service as a Landlord for over a several of years unfortunately in the past 12 months there has been some major issues with poorly written incompetent AST contracts and receipt of monies owed to me. Firstly having won a dispute at TDS (luckily I used my own sourced professional company for Inventory & Check Out not SW supplier, which won us the day), I was due £1600+ which SW received in Jan 2022, but firstly failed to tell me I had won and secondly to send me the money from the deposit I was owed. As a TDS case for me is very rare I thought the process would take months when fact it was just a few weeks. If I had not requested an update from SW would they have told me I had won and was due money? They kept quiet for over four months. Next the new tenant they found. As per all other tenancies I have had with them I let for a minimum of 12 months, this time in the AST they put a break clause in after 6 months which the tenant operated. Asked why they did this and thier reply was “You should have read the contract!” They’re right of course but the reason I use a professional agent is to 1. Carry out my instructions to the letter and 2. Being a busy business owner I don’t have time to do it all myself so this is why I used (past tense), SW. I must say having read the AST contract it is very poor quality and basic not what I would expect from a property mark registered agent.j

For the last nine years that I have lived in the property managed by SW I have not had to make a single complaint - the service is top-notch and would happily recommend them to anyone. We are a small growing family of three moving from London to West Sussex. Going through the rental market first before exploring and buying in the area, Jo Mallett has made our experience extremely easy and pleasurable. Her relatable approach and inside knowledge (being a West Sussex native) was extremely helpful. We are still in the process of moving, but trust that SW management from here on will be as good as their agents have been. Really unhappy to find an agents car on my drive because they were showing the house next door. When I approached them to move the reason I received was “they had a big car (A MINI) and they didn’t like reversing”. I’m a blue badge holder, that had come home from work with my children in the pouring rain and then had walk next door to locate her to access my parking space because they can’t park there own car! She has been nothing but fantastic with us, we haven't offically decided to go with the property yet but as me and my husband have been renters for the last 7 years with various different letting agents. One star short because there was a hiccup at first when we were given to understand that our offer had been accepted, when it had not. Also, a couple of times I emailed an agent but they were out of the office, which was not apparent. My email was eventually picked up by another member of staff when I sent a reminder. However, once our purchase was in train and there were numerous delays down the chain, they were very good at trying to expedite matters. It was a very stressful time but this was alleviated during the last week by Karen’s helpful and timely communication.
