Honestly, Hayley was by far the best estate agent I have dealt with. From the moment we initially spoke she listened to everything I wanted and sent me a selection of three suitable homes. One of them I have ended up buying. Also, I would like to say how well the team seemed to be joined up, if Hayley was off then someone else would pick things up for her which I really liked.

I called today to enquire about 2 properties that are for rent on Zoopla to be told that I need to enquire through RightMove where a ‘soft check’ would be completed. I explained that I just wanted to know if the landlords would accept pets, to which I again was directed to RightMove. I don’t believe a soft check is necessary in order to find out if a landlord will accept pets or not. Please stop wasting people’s time and simply answer their questions.

I had a few hiccups to start with as it was a complicated handover but all the little issues were dealt with by Chelsea who was fabulous. It was during lockdown and she took it on herself to resolve the issues I had (mainly because of the lockdown situation and no one working). Genuinely kind and considerate and understanding, Chelsea was extremely efficient too.

I have rented through other agents before, but Pinewood has made the whole process so much easier. The initial stages were simple and were quickly processed by the ladies in the office. Even when I had a problem with some property damage, shortly after moving in, the maintenance department dealt with it quickly and kept me up to date with everything. Very good with the initial response to a property enquiry but very poor after. Appointment confirmed over text message but then cancelled less than 24 hours before the via an automated email (that neither of us received). When we called to ask why nobody turned up we were told "obviously, a holding deposit has been put down on the property"... Both of us took time out of work to attend and didn't get the decency of a phone call/text message because "that's just how the system works". Great example of poor service. Edit: I response to the reply. I would strongly recommend reviewing A) the service you use for communications. Neither my partner or I received the text messages stated in the response and obviously haven't opened them. Also, the representative we spoke to on the day if the cancelled appointment confirmed we had only been sent an email, which she also confirmed she could see was not opened. Also, the automated email that was sent come from a different address and was filed as spam. This email has since been located and had incorrect appointment details within it. B) the process in updating potential customers. When we initially enquired on the Friday before, we received a phone call to arrange the appointment. A simple further phone call to advise the appointment had been cancelled would have been much more sufficient Thank you for the response

We live in New Zealand and own 2 properties back in our home town of Chesterfield, so we needed someone to look after the houses and the tenants…someone we could fully trust. We were with another rental company to begin with and we were not happy with the care we/our tenants received, so were very wary of other companies. Absolute joke, these seem to be another one of them agencies that think they are above the law by saying "NO DSS" - There is no such thing as the "DSS" and there hasn't been since 2001! Not everybody who gets housing benefit are bad people, some are genuinely unable to work due to disabilities or caring for those with disabilities.
