I can’t give zero stars unfortunately. Savills valued our house at £450000 but three other agents valued at £600000!!. They said they’d provide a report but we heard nothing. Ours is a 4 bed house and they’d just sold a 2 bed house nearby for £425000. Appalling service.

It is nearly 1 month since the completion on my new home and this review is a little overdue.I would like to thank and celebrate the staff at Savills Cambridge for their commitment, passion and professionalism in the management of my purchase.I found myself in a small property chain of Sell & Buy despite assurances to the contrary from my buyers. This led to delays and uncertainty which added much time in us all getting to exchange and then completion. The staff at Savills worked with agents, lawyers, buyers and others involved in the chain to keep everyone informed and to drive progress in getting to the final goal.I truly believe that the chain would have fallen apart without the management & expertise demonstrated by Savills. In particular I would like to call-out Annie Darling for her personal commitment to getting us all across the line.I would say that if you want a safe pair of hands to help and support you through what can be a challenging process, then Savills stand head and shoulders above the crowd.I am happy to be contacted in support of this reference.Kieran McNamara.

I highly do not recommend taking this agency for your rental, because:1/ Some of their workers are VERY EXTREMELY RUDE and take their sweetest time to reply to mails.2/ They will give you the STUPIDEST excuses that they cannot reach the landlords.3/ They will keep you without a precise response.4/ They will not allow you to break your contract.

TrustpilotVery poor experience with London residential lettings business
The company’s London residential lettings business is the worst I’ve ever dealt with---a toxic mix of incompetence and outright dishonest behaviour. Special conditions in the tenancy agreement over maintenance to be completed before the tenancy start date were not met in full, getting maintenance done during the tenancy was impossible and there were multiple billing errors which were ultimately resolved but Savills was responsible for. The renewals process was also full of deceit and trickery. I agreed to the terms for renewal supposedly put forward by the landlord which included an assurance from Savills that the landlord would finally do maintenance/repairs. However, instead of going away and drawing up a contract to reflect our agreement by email Savills came back a couple of weeks later claiming the landlord withdrew the terms for renewal I had agreed to and wanted a higher rent amount. I of course pushed back on this. The response from Savills was that the landlord now wanted an even higher rent amount! To top it all off Savills were refusing to write into the contact that the landlord would complete maintenance/repairs while still claiming in “subject to contract” emails that the repairs would be done if only I signed an agreement without this wording. I’ve taken my business elsewhere and am now receiving a fantastic service from one of Savills’ many competitors in the London market.

Living in Edinburgh, I decided to get two quotes for the sale of my flat, one from an ESPC registered estate agent/solicitor and one from Savills, who are independent estate agents. The two experiences could not have been more different. Tom from Savills was extremely helpful and very enthusiastic about my flat, which I really appreciated as I had put so much time, effort & love into renovating it. By contrast, the agent from the ESPC solicitor seemed to lack any interest in selling the flat and was, I felt, rather disparaging. Additionally, the difference between the 2 valuation estimates was considerable. The sales team at Savills were also really helpful and quick to answer any queries. Ultimately, my flat sold for significantly more than the ESPC estate agent had suggested, so going with Savills was definitely the right choice, I would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling their property and will certainly use them again.

GoogleIncredibly impressed with Savills. We originally had our property listed with another agent for THREE weeks and hadn't had a single viewing (their pictures were shocking, and the excuses they made were laughable). We spoke to Savills, and yes they aren't the cheapest comparatively, but you're paying slightly more (truly very marginally) for incredible quality. We spoke to our agent Chris on Wednesday, the professional photographer came the next day (great pics, really showed off the house), and the property was listed on Friday afternoon. By Monday, we had 4 viewings, and 2 excellent offers. Honestly absolutely blew our expectations out the water. If you're looking to let or sell your property, please don't even consider anywhere else. Everyone we've dealt with have been super professional, friendly, and most of all effective. Thank you!

Terrible company. We had an agent come to value our house. She seemed competent and appeared to be very interested in marketing the property. After an hour of talking through the details she said she’d arrange for photos to be taken and a contract to be sent out. Over a month later she still hasn’t been in contact and we have gone with a different agent. We expected more from a company with such a good reputation. Unfortunately, Savills also seem to think it's my responsibility to contact them regarding this matter. If they were really interested in good customer service, they would check their records for SW Devon and contact me directly. As they have not done this, I can only assume that it is a regular occurrence and they therefore can not trace us in amongst all the other potential clients they have let down.
