Bed Student Rentals Chester reviews

As an international student moving to Chester, finding reliable accommodation remotely was daunting. Bed Student Rentals made the entire process seamless from start to finish. They provided a property which came with all the necessary documentation upfront including HMO licence, Gas Safety Certificate, EPC, Electrical Certificate and Fire Alarm report without even having to ask. That level of transparency immediately gave me confidence. A special mention to Kat O'Brien who was absolutely brilliant. When in doubt no need to hesitate she was there to clear things out no fuss, no delays. For someone navigating UK renting for the first time from overseas, that kind of prompt and clear communication means everything. The whole process from receiving the contract to signing and making payment was straightforward and professional. Highly recommend Bed Student Rentals to any student - especially international students - looking for accommodation in Chester. You're in safe hands! 🙌

Recently moved to Chester to do my Masters, and the people here were super helpful with moving into my place. The process is one of the easier I’ve had to do throughout my time at Uni, and the deposit was very low for an incredibly spacious, very affordable property in the city centre. Lou has been incredibly helpful, whether it be over the phone or in person, and any issues are resolved incredibly quickly through her so far. If you’re moving to Chester for Uni, and are looking for somewhere affordable but still wanting your own space, this place hasn’t disappointed.

They were very warm and understanding to me as a student immigrating from Nigeria. I reached out to them and they got me an apartment opposite the university within the same day. During the duration of my tenancy they were warm and helpful. Even after the end of my student year they helped me settle down on such short notice I couldn’t believe it! Special shout out to the team especially the warmest and fuzziest Lou! And shout out to Jolan as well he helped me move in to my apartment for free! They are a Godsend and truly are great people!

Special shoutout to Lou - she has been so friendly and accommodating. It is great to be able to walk into the office to ask any questions too (and the free hoodies are fab!!!) - I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Definitely the best letting agents ! Always super friendly and I love popping in for a chat. When we first moved in our washing machine broke and Lou was kind enough to take our washing and get it all sorted for us for the next day which was brilliant !! x

Been with bed for the last three years and they've never let down. What ever you need the team are always ready to help you promptly! They're all very approachable, there's a lovely office right close to campus too so any urgent problems you can pop in to see them in person and they'll sort it in an instant. They usually have the exact room you're looking for, they'll give you plenty of options with a range or prices. Regular Maintanance. There are two people in specific I'd like to thank. Che Hannigan for guiding us through the viewings, great personality and true honesty in all viewings. And Lou. Lou is brilliant, her communication is next level, she's always there to help no matter how small or big the problem, she offers great advice and really stands out with her efforts - true legend, thank you. Get your next house share with bed now!!

The property was clean, well-maintained, and matched exactly what was advertised. The location is convenient, and the price felt fair for the quality provided. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free rental. - Mark

Absolutely 5 star service from these guys! Mike and his team are never anything less than fantastic. They really do their utmost to make every single one of their tenants happy. They will always take it upon themselves to help you through any issues necessary and a visit to the office is always welcome! Special shout out to the office pup, Oscar! Next year will be my second year in their hands and I wouldn't have it any other way! Also very excited that they offer houses to professionals too! Thank you BED, for everything you do :)

Fantastic Service from BED. We have been letting our student house in Chester for eighteen years and have used seven agents, nearly all incompetent, rude or greedy and some all three. The eighth was BED Lettings, run by Mike Hannigan, proud to be a a reformed DJ, who is using his knowledge of students to satisfy both their housing needs and the needs of landlords. When I visited his office in Garden Lane, he introduced me to his staff (Jolan, an unreformed DJ, Joe, Paula and Tori) and even his painter and decorator (Mike Middleton) and his cleaner (Paula), and we made an immediate connection. Mike and I took the short walk to our house in Bouverie Street and on the way I was amazed to see him warmly greeted by several students and a PCSO. One Eastern European student insisted on hugging him, as she thanked him for having her heating fixed so quickly. When I looked surprised, she grinned and said “He’s the best!” He viewed our house and evidently had some tenants in mind for soon afterwards he emailed me to say he had signed up four students. This was in December, the previous agent had taken until April! Mike Hannigan is obviously recognised as competent, approachable and sociable by the student tenants. Despite his DJ past, he strikes me as being honest and dependable, with his heart in his work, unusual qualities in a student letting agent.

Had a viewing today with Mike, the director and both myself and my sister were very impressed with the friendly service we received. They were very accommodating, taking into account that my sister is a young professional. Mike was kind enough to drive us to the viewing himself and the property we saw was clean, very nicely decorated and spacious. The Bed. team are all very welcoming and we were given time to have a private discussion and to come to our own decision on whether we liked the property, there was no pushiness at all! On deciding we wanted the property we emailed and within minutes we had reserved the property and begun the simple application process. We are both really looking forward to moving into our new property in August 2024. Thank you to all of the team for making a very stressful time easy and pleasant! :)

Bed are an excellent option for student rentals in Chester. We are a group of 8 girls, which you can imagine we are very picky and there normally aren’t a lot of choices. Bed provided us with high standard viewings of several houses and we were very impressed with hospitality. Mike and Jolan were so lovely and answered any queries we had regarding viewing as this is our first time renting. Definitely will recommend the company to other students and we are so excited to move into our new home!!!

An all round amazing business to be part of and to receive service from! Throughout my degree in Chester, Bed Student Rentals gave me and my group piece of mind in knowing exactly what our rental involved and how our budgets worked too. Mike and his team offer an relaxed and warm welcome to everyone through their doors and my time being a part of that team cemented my wonderful experience with Bed. This is a incredibly understanding, inclusive and bright business that gives a strong a reputable name across campus and rated highly in terms of student satisfaction. If you are renting student properties in Chester, Bed have the widest and best range of properties and every employee will make sure you walk away happy with your decision; they cannot be rated highly enough.

Bed Student Rentals is genuinely, by far, the best letting agency. Mike and his team have made house searching and finding a place in Chester for me and my friends so much less stress-free. They really accommodated an enriching experience by providing us with an array of properties to rent, at such a good price too, that you really can’t rumble to be honest. The office is so incredibly friendly because you can honestly tell everyone there truly want the best for you and ensure that you are getting the best deal out there, not just that but the team are so warm with you too that you can laugh and have a joke. It’s far from the tense atmospheres that other agents may give off, you definitely feel more at ease there especially with the comfort of knowing that you and your needs are heavily considered at the heart of the company. Could never complain about any part of my experience, if there was a 10/5 stars, I’d give it. Plus the free hoodies are a really comfortable too, so you could say great quality is a running theme within the company.

Where do I begin? This will now be my 2nd year living in a house rented off BED after being let down previously from another student letting agency. BED students rentals are the best letting agency in Chester (do I dare say across the country?! They would be hard to beat!) The staff never fail to make me feel welcomed and at ease, no question too silly, no request too big! Everything I've asked for has been possible. I was placed in a house with people I never met after putting my faith in Mike and his team! From this, I met a lifelong friend! The team go above and beyond. I genuinely wish I could stay in their care for life! I feel safe and secure constantly! It's such a shame seeing bad reviews for this agency as I can't see how they could possibly be talking about the same place I have grown to love! An (ALWAYS) happy lady x

Very welcoming staff and lovely houses. My boyfriend is currently suffering from a severe knee injury and they were so accommodating with helping him find a suitable room and they even gave him the chance to move in a day early so he could keep isolating in order to have his operation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a house!! Ignore the negative reviews, Mike and the team are lovely and I didnt see a single bad house when I viewed them with my boyfriend & his group. FYI - I do not personally live in a bed property so this review is completely impartial :)
